Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Midweek Mentalness - 25/26th Oct

Heh heh heh

I will probably mention St Mirren after taking them twice in their wins at Stranraer this season with a weakened side both times. Stranraer will have to play at home instead of soaking up all the pressure as they did today and have done a lot lately. they dont play the game. St Mirren usually try the same tactic on the road and it was only a man of the match performance by Dundee goalie that kept them out today. Aye they could/should be back to winning ways Tuesday.

St J and Hamilton are playing well. This is a repeat of the cup game between the 2 4 weeks or so ago in which Hamilton won 2-0. Think that was poss at aneatral venue. Need to check.

Alloa played dumbarton a lot last season so there could be something to look at. Gretna im wary of at home this season still. Morton look awfully short but understandable. Stirling had a not bad performance today mind.

Montrose to keep on the up and up? Heard Arbroath pounded Albion today. Dont think Beath will have it all their own way at QP

Raith Raith Raith!! Im liking them more and more for Tuesday. They gotta be worth a pop at Gretna. They gave Morton (who i reckon are a better team than Gretna) a hell of a game yesterday 'laying seige' on the morton goal. Theyve won their last 4 away from home and i think Gretna are vurnerable at home. I'm sure i wont be on my own in saying the 7/1 on Raith could be massive.

aye and Raith midweek will too. Then Gretna play Morton Saturday too. Crucial games. I really can see Raith not getting beat. I dunno you have to respect Gretna's chance but Raith should be less than half that price i reckon.

Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Midweek Mentalness - 25/26th Oct

Quick look at that and Dundee, although do i trust them - well they aint bad at home.

Patrick Thistle have played well recently and in the first game against Peterhead they batter them and drew 1-1 if memory service me right and Peterhead scored in the last minute.

Cowdenbeath won 5 on the trot although Queens Park is unpredictable for me but I do like the price but i expect Cowdenbeath to slip up soon.

Montrose look a bit massive for a team that doesn't play well at home, wasn't happy that Albion Rovers got a result yesterday that was my Cert which dented my profits big time but i don't think they are good enough and fancy Montrose here.

Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Midweek Mentalness - 25/26th Oct

Hills go 11/10 on Montrose which i reckon is about right. Coral meanwhile go 6/4 which makes me very interested. I dont think Montrose are great shakes but their travelling in the right direction and could be worth a look.

The bookies really over-rate Stenhousemuir's chances week in week out. I certainly wont chance them at that price not till McKeown sorts the team out a bit. Cowdenbeath were well beaqen at Central park by QP earlier this season before the Mixu takeover. I was on them that day and they looked pretty ineffectual v QP. This puts me off them. Will their 4 forwards enjoy the wide open spaces of Hampden poss though? To me its a bugger and i should just stay clear and watch from the wings.

Alloa @ 6/5 Corals im nearly tempted with. Theyve a good record v Dumbarton last couple of years and Dumbarton seem reliant on their home form. Need to read up on alloa at Peterhead at the weekend but i could chance them. Dumbarton seem to be improving but i think they'll get beat in this one.

I'll be on Raith @ 7/1 without fail. not even gonna look at it.

I aint so sure Partick battered Peterhead in that last game Milners. I took it at the time that Peterhead werent that bad. they are starting to find their feet in the division and dont think it will be as straight forward as the odds suggest. Bet365's 4/7 looks almost tempting though alongside all the 2/5's etc

Heh heh Coral go Evens on St Mirren. Loads to look at in that but i should be on the Saints again at Stranraer for them to get their 3rd win their this season.

St Johnstone and Hamilton look almost too tight to pull apart and thats why stan james 9/4 on the away could suit. aye could suit me too.

Cowdenbeath have goals coming out of their ears, eyes and nostrils of late though. 17 in their last 5 games. It's madness. Much as I like Queens Park, I really think I'll be sticking with 'beath again. Montrose is certainly a possibility too. I haven't read up on the weekend as yet.

Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Midweek Mentalness - 25/26th Oct

Prob for me is mick was that QP dealt with them so easily not so long ago. It was Mixu's first game in charge and i expected the Beath win that day. It was an early Saturday kick off and i was in bed for 3pm with my coupon screwed. WC weekend. Maybe its just a case of once bitten twice shy with me

http://www.cowdenbeathfc.com/onfield...ve.shtml#qpaug
http://www.qpfc.com/news/2005/0807.html

v Queens Park earlier in season
COWDENBEATH: David Hay, Graham Guy, Kevin McBride, John Ward, Darren McGregor, Stuart Baird, Iain Mauchlen, Gary Fusco, Robert Downs, Darren Gribben, Martin Grant.

v East Fife Sat 22nd Oct
COWDENBEATH: David Hay, Mark Baxter, Kevin McBride, John Ward, Innes Ritchie, Gary Fusco, Marc Millar, Markus Paatelainen, Ryan McCallum, Andy Jackson, Robert Downs.

Pluses and minuses for Cowdenbeath. Gribben is a huge lose but maybe best all in for a new broom like Mixu. Got the fron t 4 playing well and Ryan McCallum has come on too. Truth be told i just aint gonna bet anything on this Mick. I aint gonna cause gloom over anything as i think it could be any result.

Im wondering if i can take Montorse a team that hasnt won away all season at Albion Rovers. I know you were 'black affronted' () about me daring to suggest them on Saturday but i said they were coming back and being record breakers so i dont see any reason why they cant do as theyve done twice in the past year and go to Cliftonhill and get a win. Aye but the odds seem to reflect their chances imo but i fancy them to get something. I might go for a ladbrokes double chancer and...nah im gonna look at it. I reckon there could be confidence to be had taking Montrose.
http://www.albionrovers.com/05-06/arb22-10report.htm

I just couldnt chance Stenny at the mo but you never know they could come out and answer their critics and score 7. I'm just gonna watch them for now. Their beginning to haunt me

I still like Raith to get something but with Deachar and Baldachinno playing so well it will be hard. I think Gretna suffer at home as it reminds the players of what a shit wee club they actually play for.

Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Midweek Mentalness - 25/26th Oct

I wasn't black affronted. I just didn't see any value in them. I'm hoping Elgin will give Stenny a game though.

Have to agree Komp that there looks some value in Raith. They could well give Gretna a scare. Partick and Ayr have run them close there this season.... 7/1..... ooooooo..... Raith have a point more on their travels than Gretna have at home too. It's gotta be worth a shot. a 1-3 win Raith had at Partick not long ago too.... and take out Gretna's 5-1 win against Forfar and look at their home results....... bit of a struggle so far...... 7/1..... oooooo..... gotta chance it.

edit: I've checked and double checked and Raith really are @ 7/1. That's just asking for trouble.

Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Midweek Mentalness - 25/26th Oct

Alloa without a win in 7, Dumbarton winning their last game 6-0 v Ayr. sounds madness to consider Alloa at 6/5 but its one of them games you'd expect the home team to win it. dumbarton are following a similar pattern to the season before last in that theyre ok at the Rock (or the new boghead to Para;) and cant buy a win away. Still without a win this season away but i fear them getting their first draw. Alloa aint played at home since they got beaten 6-1 by Partick. It sounds more and more like madness but there has to be some reason why i like Alloa.

I think they came up against a vengefull Peterhead side on saturday and Lynn is nocking them in for Peterhead at the mo (Bavage lasted 10mins on his return) it was never gonna be easy. I thin kthey were the better team at Ayr. At Stirling they never produced much but could have/ should have won it. Then theres that 6-1 by Gretna. These games happen. Then errrr the 5-2 defeat at Morton. Scoring 2 at Morton aint bad..aye alloa are ok really... 1-1 at home to Forfar is ok as Forfar are ok away. I could go on. Alloa are shite but their ok shite when playing other shite teams and their due a win imo and ok at home whilst dumbarton aint great on the road. Want better thatn 6/5 poss though. I cant believe thats the best price.

I can't see any value in Dundee at all. In fact, Clyde @ 4.15 with Expekt looks a tad generous to me. On paper at least, there's nowt between these sides. I don't think Clyde will win but.... I certainly won't be going near Dundee anyway. Not after they struggled so badly at home to Stranraer.

Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Midweek Mentalness - 25/26th Oct

Aye i'd agree Mick. Not one for me to get involved with i think. Dundee's goalie SOutar was in blinding form on Saturday and stopped St Mirren winning by 2 or 3 v Dundee.

Im backing Hamilton at St Jognstone Mick. Just seen Ladbrokes go 3.40 which is errrr 5/2 in real money and ive gotta have them. Hamilton are the form side in Div One losing once all season (v St J at home 1-0 funnily enough) I prefer Hamilton away and St J too and Hamilton could stay undefeated away. Hamilton have beaten St J twice at St Johnstone in 2005 and on a cold and wet night at Mcdirmaid pk aint exactlly gonna hold too much fear for the Hamilton team. Gonna be tight as St J are playing ok and have the players to score some goals but on price alone in taking Hamilton.

  • Was just thinking there, the best type of "fuck off " is the following; You`re playing astro, 5 a side, someone shouts "handball" and the "fuck off" response is fucking class.
