Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Midweek Mentalness - 25/26th Oct

Wtf? I've just noticed Bet365 have Raith @ 10/1! What's happened? Where did that come from?

mental eh? It must have been after readings crowies bet write up Mick. Even i near gave up on Raith after reading it. Nope truth be told i think Gretna are very vurnerable tonight and i'll probably be on some poofy price like 11/2 (as Hills are no mugs) 10/1 has to be taken imo. I'd rate Raith's chances about 7/2 maybe less. I think on their day Raith could beat anyone in this league and i still think Gretna are vurnerable at home.

Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Midweek Mentalness - 25/26th Oct

Gretna now 1.25 at Bet365 due to Raith going out to 11.00. Which makes the 1.40 on Gretna look even better.

One thing I would say, Bet365 have both Gretna and Morton at 1.25 and Raith and Stirling at 11.00. It could be argued, based on this seasons form, that Morton are the better home side of the two as they have a better record. Not much difference overall in the two of them though. One things is for certain though, Raith are a much better away side than Stirling, who are 0-1-4 F2 A11 away, and shouldn't be the same price as them.

Btw, I wouldn't exactly class Gretna as vunerable at home, not with a 25 game unbeaten run and a F81 A18 goals record in those 25 games.

You and your fancy stats, crowie. Ayr gave them a wee fright and they did struggle to see off Stirling and Dumbarton (well, they never put their chances away) and also found it hard against Partick. 10/1 for a rather decent Raith side seems amazing to me and I've bunged a tenner on although I concede it'll obviously be difficult for Raith. I reckon it'll be a hard one for Gretna too though.

Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Midweek Mentalness - 25/26th Oct

aye Crowie but but...errrr I still think theyre a better team away from home.

Scottish Division 2 Gretna 5-1 Forfar 06-08-2005
Scottish Division 2 Gretna 1-0 Stirling 20-08-2005
Scottish Division 2 Gretna 2-2 Ayr 27-08-2005
Scottish Division 2 Gretna 2-2 Partick 17-09-2005
Scottish Division 2 Gretna 1-0 Dumbarton 01-10-2005

barr the Forfar game their form aint that great at home at i reckon Raith have a chance. The 11/2 in my Hills is a bit of a bugger though especially seeing as you can get 10/1. I'll get them in somewhere though and i gotta hope it all goes tits up for your Crowie as we all celebrate Gretna getting their first home league defeat in bloody ages. Go on the Raith

Gonna go look at Montrose as im struggling. again though the 11/10 doesnt look quite as nice as the 6/4 though

Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Midweek Mentalness - 25/26th Oct

Right im getting all flustered here as i cant get a bet.

Brechin v QOS - Brechin are so bad i believe that QOS gotta have a chance. Nah too tight so NO BET

Stranraer v St Mirren - The 8./11 in Hills aint a great bet but the Evens in Coral defo is. Im still gonna take St Mirren though and also a couple of quid on the 2-0 scoreline.

St Johnstone v Hamilton - I like he away here but the 7/4 odds is prob about right. No bet for me.

Alloa v Dumbarton - Hard one to take on with Dumbarton supposedly improving etc. sod it im for Alloa on a wee chancey line @ 11/10

gretna v Raith - 11/2 on Raith. Im gonna put my money where my mouth is and take raith. It aint 10/1 but a winner will do me. It could all go wrong though

Morton v Stirling - Morton i think will win this pretty comfortably especially as their at home. Beaten Stirling twice this season and Stirling will have less of a team out. I cant take the 1/4 on Morton though.

Partick v Peterhead - I think Partick should win this one with Peterhead missing 3 main players and a horrible midweek trip for them. I aint into the 2/5 odds though.

Albion v Montrose - Ive been umming and ahing over this one as the 11/10 isnt the 6/4 i saw on the corals coupon though. Moved them into 11/8 online they have. I'm gonna add this to the chancey line inc Alloa

East Stirling v Berwick - Crowies 2/5 is long gone at VC (2/7 now) Baldy Betfred still goes 4/5 for Berwick/Berwick and i'd chance that. I aint gonna bother though as i aint near a betfred shop.

Elgin v Stenhousemuir - Stenny have been terrible since losing Collins from the centre of midfield. Savage is murder at the mo as a replacement for Carroll but i think they'll have the team shuffled about enough to win at a poor Elgin side. I prefer Stenhousemuir on the road. I must be mad but im gonna back them Nah i cant. nah i dunno. Aye sod it they'll wanna close the gap and on their day they can score goals.

Quote:
Elgin City v Stenhousemuir
Furious Elgin City boss David Robertson has threatened his under-achieving players with the boot unless they start improving against Stenhousemuir.

Robertson, who has a full-strength squad, said: "If things don't improve, players will be leaving during the transfer window."

Stenhousemuir midfielder Lee Collins is out through injury and there is a doubt over striker Frankie Carroll.
Hmmmm, Stenny should win but I'm wary (as always) of Elgin. Will Robertson's threats have them fired up? I have no idea. I'm too scared to back the away.

I honestly dont think Elgin's young guns are actually up to much Mick and i reckon it could be Robertson that could be looking for a new job once Kenny Black's millions come. Thinking of it i would be mad taking stenny on their current form

Elgin did ok against them in that 3-1 loss at Stenny in August though and managed to control parts of the game. There's no doubt Stenhousemuir have the extra class but as you say, their overall form isn't really the best. I'm happy to sit this one out.

not a chance mick. The best you can get is tuen into Westsound (via Daily Punt radio) and get this for Saturday. It covers Gretna, ayr, stranraer (spit), kilmarnock and Queen Of The South. Listen from 2-3 and get all the latest news from the teams etc. Excellent coverage. Im sure there must be a fife station that does similar but i cant find it
