English Premiership 22-23 October

Everton vs Chelsea (Sunday)

Despite being a loyal Toffee I have to go with the away win, currently available at 1.4. Not a lot of analysis needed, just take a look at the league table, our home record, their away record, goals for, goals against and anything else you can think of!!!!

Another bet which I have used with Chelsea on occasion this season is the correct score including a Chelsea win with no goals conceded, so this week I'm going with 0-1,0-2 and 0-3 with a 0-4 saver. If any of the first three correct scores win you get around evens on the entire stake, if its 0-4 you get your overall stake back. Even with Bent & McFadden terrorising the Chelsea rearguard I expect they'll keep a clean sheet! (by the way i'm being sarcastic).

One final bet well worth considering in this game is the ht/ft Draw/Chelsea. Despite the gulf between these two in results Everton have been level at ht in 6 of the 8 games this season, and Chelsea in 5 out of 9. Chelsea's 2nd half performances have already been well documented - they have won every 2nd half this season. Despite the fact these teams have collectively been drawing at half-time in 65% of their games this season you can get 4.33 on ht draw/ft Chelsea - worth a small stakes bet IMO.

Hope I'm wrong on all counts cos we need the points badly, but head rules heart when it comes to betting!

Spurs @ 6's look tempting first off, especially after Utd having a Euro game and Tottenham playing with a bit of form, Thought Bolton's odds might be a wee bit better especially after Brum beating Arsenal but dont think i would touch it anyhow.

Chelsea should be a formality and i have a sneaky feeling Villa may come good this week @ evens.

Could be a few tempting lays too in Arsenal, Newastle and Man U.

Man City @ 7.5's ffs that looks good. wasnt going to bother but i wouldent be surprised if we turned em over.

I'm not sure Slick, its tempting, Is Rooney likely to be playing in this one? If he's in i'll not take it.
Spurs are due a Favour at OT though, after that goal that wasn't last season.

I think Blackburn & Villa look decent shouts @ Evens. Villa will have heightened confidence & sooner or later someone will get hold of Wigan & then we'll see how they react, & I think it could be someone unexpected.
Blues are struggling & this is a grudge game v Blackburn in which I think Blackburn ill get the edge

I know its sad isnt it bro

But it does give us this weekends great betting opportunity as youve laid out.

11/10ish on a Chelsea 1-0, 2-0, 3-0, 4-0 victory whichever result comes off, surely fantastic value.

Weve scored 1 goal this season, 1 bloody goal and theyve only let in 3

If im honest the odds on this should be no higher than 1.5 and thats probly being generous, so cracking value really aint it

I think the only thing putting me of going in real big on this is that Chelsea have actually conceded a goal in each of their last 3 games and now Beatties half back(ish) maybe he'll do something special

Re: English Premiership 22-23 October

I agree Kop about Spurs but i was talking about the 6's as it means minimum stakes and may be worth a wee dabble..

Utd are no great shakes mainly through defensive problems and i can see Spurs who have a half decent forward line causing problems, Sunderland had the chances but couldent put them away and on a good day maybe Spurs could and they will never have a better chance to get one over on them, dont know whether that goal last yr will be on their minds, doubt it but going off last yr i'd say spurs are a stronger side in comarison to UTD this time last yr.

Anyhow these are just first thoughts Kop, come weekend when we know who's in and who's not things my change.
But for the time being City and Spurs stand out as being high odds on current form, not for the outrights just yet as i also mentioned laying Utd and Arsenal, we'll know more come weekend when we get a glimpse of team news.

You gotta be interested in City, Wigan and Chalrton so if anyones got some strong views on them id be interested to hear them

I also think that Newcastle are too short against battling Sunderland. Sunderlands only other win came away to Boro in one of these derby type affairs.

I'm also getting more interesed in Spurs now Giggs is out and Ronaldo's been nicked as he wont be in any state of mind to play with a tag on his leg.

Some bad shit going down @ Old Trafford and it must effect them.

Re: English Premiership 22-23 October

As for City MrM, i'd give us a chance as we are always capable of the unexpected and are becoming quite a unit.
My Main concern is Dunne being out as Onuoha is covering and out of position, he's only a young lad and still learning as allthough having a half decent game against the Hammers on sunday he did make a couple of mistakes.
With Henry back and Reyes playing well they may take advantage of his inexperience but 7.5's is tempting and we will create scoring opportunities and stand every chance if we put them away.

Re: English Premiership 22-23 October

Gentlemen,

call me crazy but I see a cracking value in Wigan @ 4.25(Expect)!
This price is way too high for such a compact team facing such an unstable team as Villa. Sure Wigan will be brought down to planet Earth one day but it's just that this price is too high to speculate. I will definetly take this one probably in this manner:

Wigan(+0.5) @1.9(Pointbet) for 4/10
+
Wigan @4.25(Expekt) for 3/10

Anybody thinking similarly?

Yep Kombinator I was thinking much the same. Its going to be a close contest so dont see why the high odds on Wigan

Not sure how how im going to play it though. Wigan +0.5 at 10/11? Draw no bet Wigan 7/4? Straight Wigan win 3/1? Decisions decisions
