RC - I must confess to not fully understanding the -.5 bets but Bristol are still available at 1.8 at ladbrokes / Coral for the outright.

Cheers AMP, unfortunately I'm not what you could call a serious gambler, and only have one account, which is with Bet365.

As for the -0.5 bet, it's exactly the same as backing a team to win (even if your team wins by one goal, they've still overcome the handicap), but inexplicably the odds almost always vary. With Bet365, Bristol C are 1.66 to win on the "normal" (for want of a better word) betting, but 1.70 with a -0.5 goal handicap. Always worth checking the handicap odds before placing bets, you'll often get better odds on -0.5, even though it's really exactly the same bet.
