Re: Scottish Junior Cup - 1st Oct

Hurlford
2002-03: 9th West Division 1, 23pts from 22 games
2003-04: 8th West Division 1, 27pts from 22 games
2004-05: 6th West Division 1, 37pts from 26 games

Neilston
2002-03: 2nd West Premier, 43pts from 22 games
2003-04: 11th West Premier, 16pts from 22 games
2004-05: 5th West Division 1, 40pts from 26 games

Scottish Cup 1st Round - Dundonald Bluebell v Beith Juniors at 3.00pm on Saturday 1st October at Moorside Park, Cardenden. This is the first time we have ever played Dundonald, so there is no form guide available. Although one interesting (or not) fact is that they were formed the same year as Beith, in 1938.

not dundonald ayrshire

Petershill's Ground

Think i'll be having Neilston and Kiko's pick and a couple of Crowies. Neilston look like a better side than last year and Hurlford after years of being the worst side in Ayrshire are going ok but i cant see them having enough for Neilston. Gonna check up more. Played one of my best games of football in a schools cup final at Blair Pk Hurlford in 1980. we got beaten in ET but the team still celebrated my performance and i was a right hero at school with the teachers that week.

Re: Scottish Junior Cup - 1st Oct

Neilston got to the 5th round last season before getting beat 3-2 by beaten finalists Lochee 3-2. I cant see beyond them tomorrow. My stepdad a Beith fan and regular supporter says they should win and are playing well. His only other tip was Stoneyburn at Saltcoats. Seems to think anyoine at Saltcoats is a good bet. Ill have a look

Re: Scottish Junior Cup - 1st Oct

I was emailed by one of your members asking for tips. But the email I sent was not recieved
So here's my tips anyhow.

Depends on what kind of gamble you are looking for.

I fancy Hurlford @ 9/5 to beat Neilston as they have home advantage and
Neilston have a depleted squad for one reason or another.
Kello @ 2/1 against Annbank may be another as they are a stuffy lot to
beat at home.
Lanark @ 12/5 must be worth a punt at that price. Tam McDonald has put
together a strong side for the division they are in and are better than
their position would suggest. They may catch Dundee NE on the hop.
That's my 3 for my visit to the pocket money thief
On shorter odds
A resurgent Kilwinning @ 1/2 should be too strong for Dunipace
Playing their last ever game at Petershill park should be enough of a
spur for the Peasie to overcome Maybole
East Kilbride @ 4/5 should be good enough.
Bonkers Bet Cambuslang Rangers @ 11/4 against close neighbours Vale of
Clyde. Mibees aye mibees naw.

Nice stuff Sgt and welcome to TDP

Neilston having a depleted side must make you reconsider your pick Komp and maybe not go with them anymore.

Excellent stuff Sgt Fury and i can lay claim to being that man emailing you and i'm glad i did. (Hello and welcome btw) There was me giving folks a bum steer on Neilston. I cant believe that Hurlford have a chance but i am basing all this on when they were bad in the bad old days and i was making myself believe there was still a gap between these clubs.

Just read your post Sgt Fury and its great to get your views and i gotta say thanks and welcome again. Invaluable stuff that Sgt F

Good to see youve got your coupon already on you after a visit to your local bookies too. Feel free to take your shoes off and relax in the big comfy chair called The Daily Punt Sgt Fury.

Re: Scottish Junior Cup - 1st Oct

Nice stuff Sgt Fury Lad at my work who plays for West Calder fancied Lanark at first as he said they had done well last season and Dundee NE are struggling like hell in Superleague. He was put of by current season form for Lanark though.

MR FIXIT: FIXIT'S FOCUS JUNIORS

OWEN SCOTT'S still looking for his first treble of the season - and today would be the perfect time to come up trumps.

It's Scottish Junior Cup day and dozens of sides are starting on what they hope could be the long road to the Final in May.

Hill's odds compiler Owen could have gone wimpish and picked Arniston,Whitburn and Larkhall for a 1-3 treble.

You could try that but his 3-1 selections make more sense. Owen's trying 8-11 Lugar, 8-15 Beith and 4-7 Fauldhouse.

Lugar should make light work of Craigmark at home, Beith are hotly fancied at Dundonald and Fauldhouse should see off east rivals Blackburn away.

A super single could be Hurlford who are 9-5 at home to Neilston.

Re: Scottish Junior Cup - 1st Oct

Banchory 3-0 Buchanhaven

I wasn't bloody on it though

Be interesting to hear Benburd v Dyce and Maud v East Kilbride as i fancied both Benburb (11/8) and East Kilbride (5/4 or something)

You got them scores Komp?

Re: Scottish Junior Cup - 1st Oct

Aye you cnut, you did waste it. Especially when there was little old me begging to have some on it but couldnt find a shop

You need to stick strictly to singles i reckon.

I have adopted it now. Don't even do doubles really and it has really paid off with a lot of profit in last couple of weeks.

The money builds up slower obviously than trebles etc but you will find yourself having far more profit in the long run.
