They will probably void due to palpable error but if you don't try you don't get. Remember its Laddies and its trebles minimum though.

Re: Scottish Junior Cup - 1st Oct

Right Komp, i had a chat with my mate who plays for Banchory.

He plays up front and is a really good player. A couple of bigger junior clubs bid for him at start of season but Banchory rejected it as they think they can get promoted this season.

He said he really thinks they will win and it should be very comfortable too with a scoreline of 2 or 3 to nil. They have no major injury problems and he said the 2-0 away win over Buchanhaven last time looked good on Buchanhaven as it could've easily been double that if they had taking more chances.

Really like this one mate and think you should get on it

Re: Scottish Junior Cup - 1st Oct

Quote:
Banks O'Dee 2 Saints 2 (Saints win 4-2 on Pens)

Vital Penalty Shoot Out Save

Saints went into this Grill League Cup Quarter Final full of confidence and after an initial opening 10 minutes when Saints seemed the more likely to make an opening, the game drifted into mediocrity for the next 20 minutes. Dee took the lead in the 32nd minute when Saints lost posession needlessly up the park and a flowing move down the left allowed Foy to turn Barry Hulse and shoot low past Ewen.

But within 4 minutes Saints equalised when Craig Wilson's left foot 20 yarder came back off the bar for Stuart Cole to beat the Dee centre half to the ball and nod home from close range. And a second goal looked likely for Banchory as they dominated the rest of the half.

With 17 minutes of the second half gone, a Stevie Robertson corner was flicked on by Ryan Smith and Cole was on hand to once again head the ball home at the back post.

It looked like Saints would hold out for a famous win after some pressure towards the end of the game, but Dee sneaked the equaliser in the 3rd minute of injury to put the game into a penalty shoot out.

Robertson, Hulse, Cole and Smith converted their spot kicks easily, with Graham Ewen saving Dee's second, and then the home sides fourth penalty being ballooned over the bar.

Although not playing their best football of the season, Saints still managed to more than hold their own against Super League Banks O'Dee, but a bigger test now lies ahead in the Semi-Final when Culter are the visitors to Milton Park, where a date has still to be confirmed for the match.
Thats from their last match and is a very good result. Not many sides go to Banks Of Dee and get a draw, nevermind a victory.

Especially good how Banchory are a league below them aswell.

Re: Scottish Junior Cup - 1st Oct

aye i like it from what youve told me Kiko and i like the 11/10. So they went to Buckhaven (the team their playing tomorrow) and won 2-0 going on 5-0 and now theyre playing them at home and their 2/1?

They ok at home you know Kiko? Dont get all scared in front of their probably abusive fans?

Re: Scottish Junior Cup - 1st Oct

Good start to season for Banchory whilst a poor one for Buchanhaven. I like the defence of Banchory who don't seem to leak goals. This is their league results thus far.

Burghead Thistle: 1 - Banchory St Ternan: 5
Banchory St Ternan: 0 - Lads Club: 0
Dyce Juniors: 0 - Banchory St Ternan: 1
Banchory St Ternan: 3 - Hall Russell United: 1

Sorry i don't understand that?

They beat Buchanhaven in the Grill Cup early round and are now into the semi finals after the penalty shoot out win away to Banks of Dee.

It should've been more than the 2-0 yes, but they ain't 2/1 playing Buchanhaven at home. They are 11/10.

Last Season Stats
Played 42
Won 23
Drew 9
Lost 10
For 93
Against 61

Thats in all competitions and not bad going considering 1 was a cup final. Only lost 2 at home last season.

Re: Scottish Junior Cup - 1st Oct

Wondering if anyone has any knowledge on East Kilbride Thistle or Benburb?

I mentioned in my third post or so i could be interested in them and even more so after realising Dyce Juniors are in the 1st division and not the super league like i thought.

Add to that the fact that them, and Maud, have had so so starts to the season would strengthen my view that there could be some value in this.

Benburb at 11/8? The Junior sides from down south are well known for being a far better quality than the Junior sides up here. I mean, i remember a good few second division junior sides beating the top sides from up here in this competition last season.

I am very interested in this if anyone can help me out.

Re: Scottish Junior Cup - 1st Oct

Sorry Kiko, I don't know anything about them team wise, all I could tell you would be results from this season which would be on that link I posted.

Benburb were always a "name" when I was wee but don't think they have done much for a few years.
