Swoops - betandwin have odds up already for guidance....

Tough set of fixtures IMO. Nothing really stands out.

Re: English League 1 - 6/8/05

Before the odds come up, suprisingly i will be on the MK Dons against Bournemouth

Be intersting to see how Oldham to against Yeovil, i might be on Oldham here, they could with a bit of momentum challenge at the top and i think you got a good bet on them there A.M.P.

Certainly is a good crop of teams this season.

Re: English League 1 - 6/8/05

My original thoughts when i saw the fixtures was MK Dons game.

Towards the end of the season they started coming on quite strong and did alright.

Is it still Danny Wilson as manager? If so then i like him a lot, he strikes me as an ideal manager for clubs in lower divisions but useless at the top level.

I'm going through all the games now so I'll put up some mind numbingly inconsequential info in due course

Re: English League 1 - 6/8/05

KiKo - I agree with the shout about Wilson. Decent enough for this level but got some unfavourable comments in Paulo di Canio's book. I think the bookmakers are expecting them to struggle where I believe they'll be comfortably mid-table.

Re: English League 1 - 6/8/05

Amp i cant see any odds for these with Pinnacle. Be good to read Swooper as i could do with looking at all whats been happening in one place which is here. Im away to see how the friendly's have went. I know they dont mean much but you can get a lot of valuable info for the start of the season

Re: English League 1 - 6/8/05

Looking at those again I'd take both Oldham and Hartlepool (and I really do like this bet and have just mentally flagged it - good home side) at 2.1 for home wins. The 4.8 about Donnie at Bristol city is way too big. It took a last minute equaliser in our last home game of the season to spare (and kill off play off hopes) our blushes with them, plus the returning Paul Heffernan has already said he has a point to prove. We consitently lost to worst teams at home than this last season. I'll be looking for their price on betfair.
