Re: Ding Ding Round 1 - Place your Weekend Bets Here!

Jesus - didn't realise it was an early kick off with Celtic.

People in my team were saying it was 4-4, i thought they were taking the piss. Goes from bad to worse doesn't it

Here's a thought - i really fancy to do big things with Hearts. But in a couple of months or so i fancy Strachan to end up leaving unless a miracle happens then i can see them going for Burley who i reckon would fancy the job.

Reckon im keeping off betting on leagues just starting until about 5-6 games of the season starts.

As suspected, the price on Hearts was far too generous.

Rangers 5-0? Ya never know...

Falkirk - ICT sounds like a classic case of needing to score the first goal. Fair cop...

A nice start

Re: Ding Ding Round 1 - Place your Weekend Bets Here!

Aye it will be that Komp.

I couldn't believe it when I saw F Carrol and then C Cramb come up as scorers for Stenny - it was their possible omissions which put us off the bet We prob should have checked the team just before k/o, and we'd have seen their names down.

Ah well...to take a positive from it it looks like we called the game, and the important players in it, correctly.

Well done Beanie, I can't believe I didn't take Hearts, at least on the level ball Asian

Ended up taking Hibs instead among others. Roll on next week

Draws at Brechin, Peterhead, St Mirren seem to have been the main cause for problem for me today and then throw in Aberdeen drawing costing me a big win!

Just back from thye Aberdeen game. We played really really well and should have won it. United were good for the first 25 minutes but then drifted out the game. Aberdeen were missing 4 key players today and if they can sign another striker then will have some team. I'll be on them to beat Killie next week!

Away to calculate winnings from my trebles bet. Think Ive profited overall.

5pts profit overall

Re: Ding Ding Round 1 - Place your Weekend Bets Here!

Your all gonna love this.

Yesterday I asked my wife if she would put a bet on for me in the laddies shop.

She said not a problem so i wrote the bet down (had a works syndicate bet to put on anyhow)

She later phones me from up the street saying she had lifted the money but had forgot to lift the piece of paper. I thought ok i'll look at my working in the rfo which was in my bag only to realise that it was stil beside my bloody pc.

bollox - what teams did i want her to back as i had already done some perms on the internet.

£10 accie on Perth, Geelong R, Brimbank, QOS & Hamilton - yes i'd remembered it.

No my wife said you deffinatley had six teams - bollox i thought and racked my brains no all other teams i backed where involved in the perms - so we had a small discussion on the phone and i then added RAITH.

Just in the door from watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (pretty good film - by the way) to look at the piece of paper to see it only had the five. checked the results and yes RAITH are the only team not to win in regulation !!!!!!!

bolloxs

singles now only for me.

wine is shouting for me........................

Yeah I would have been shouting them on near the end of the game as well even more if I knew the other 4 scores.

Had chances too with winter running offside, Craig having a duff shot and Nicholson hitting just over. Not to worry though. Bad day with the Aussie's but I look forward to this week getting out the way and the English and Scots stuff kicking into gear

Re: Ding Ding Round 1 - Place your Weekend Bets Here!

Havent had the chance to look at their starting line up etc but how did the new boys fair Mr C?

Not an Aberdeen fan but looking to going to a couple of games this season that i can make. Give the local team some more support.

Would like to go more but i have football which clashes with it.
