Re: Scottish Premier League 21st / 22nd May

Thats a poor price for Killie aint it? I fancy them to beat Dunfermline just based on their good record (i belive) v the Pars and with the fact that teams needing wins dont nessescarily get them. I still would have liked the bookie to less lean on Killie though for me to consider them. No bet for me unless intructed otherwise.

Dundee Utd will be popular i feel and i could be carried away with any positive feeling i hear about them. I dont mind Utd away although their record must be poor. Then again i still constantly under value ICT's chances. Another ticky one but i keep thinking the away could be worth a look.

Livvy/Dundee is another one i couldnt begin to work out. Think the home would be my preferance if i had to be on something in the game. Bah were is Beanie when you need him

I think i'll be spending my time looking at the Eurovision from now till sat instead

Re: Scottish Premier League 21st / 22nd May

Just seen on the BBC site that Richard Gough will be leaving Livi at the end of the season. His replacements are to be announced later today(Lambert apparently).

Not the best news to come out ahead of their biggest game of the season. This will surely effect the performance of the team. :think

Bargepole treatment for Livi v Dundee methinks

Hello and welcome Brew. good to see a happy ICT fan I gotta admit i thought you were certs for the drop this season. I take my hat off to your team and Brewster. You proved me totall wrong.

I dont know how i feel about the Gough story Brew. It seems to muddle this game for me even more. Be interested in what other more knowledgable people than me have to say as the week goes on.

Another wee nugget on the Livi game.Apparently every time Livi have appointed a new manager before playing Dundee, they have won

Re: Scottish Premier League 21st / 22nd May

How many times has this happened Brew out of interest? I could be swayed into the home. hows the games been between them this season?

I'll look in a bit for reports when i get a chance as the old feelings are still there even without the other divisions. Would like to go out the season with a bang.

Apparently this has happened 3 times this season. Still wouldn't touch this game unless the team news is particularly favourable for either team though.

Re: Scottish Premier League 21st / 22nd May

On any other day Livi to beat Dundee at home at 2.20 and above would be a steal, but as mentioned I'd say Saturday is a 40ft bargepole job.

Dundee will have atleast as many fans, and now there's all the crap coming out about Gough(new manager to be announced in the morning.)

Timing sucks, and who knows how on earth it will affect the team? The most important bit to note about this game might be Goughs tactics: he went out to get a draw at Killie last week, which would have just about secured our SPL status, and employed an amazingly negative approach when most of our results in recent weeks have come from being a little more expansive than usual.

If he tries it again on Saturday, we're in big bother, as Dundee will just have 90 minutes to attack attack attack.

Big wide berth for that one for me.

----

Like you Komp was waiting for a tempting Killie price, hoping that the motivational/Leishman effect would be overstated...but even money is fairly poor.

Killie are a strong enough home side, while Dunfermline's improvement hasn't been as impressive as has been made out, and certainly not a 'club turned round' effect...not yet anyway.

Speaking to a couple of Pars fans, they made out that the last two wins were a little flattering for the Pars, while noting that they do look more organisationally solid.

So aye...another no bet(at the mo :yikes )

------

Caley v Dundee U

Draw looks quite possible...tough place to go for DU against a team marking their final home game of the inaugural SPL season, while United are beginning to look a bit more fragile than during their initial spell under Chisholm. A draw could well be viewed as a decent result for all concerned.

Seen quite a lot made of Brewster and his Dundee United links, but from what you see of the guy he's a model pro, both on the field and the touchline, and I can't see that there will be any split loyalties at 3pm on Saturday.

So maybe another no bet, but only for now.

-----------

Likewise Komp, it's been a good Scottish season footie and betting wise, and am mighty keen to go out with a bang - just a shame all the game's look as tight as a coo's arse this week :pat

Re: Scottish Premier League 21st / 22nd May

Eeeek - gotta say i came on looking to say what a great bet Aberdeen are. After their great win at Hibs last week, they need to beat Hearts and then hope Rangers do over Hibs well to qualify for europe. Hearts missing 12 players through injury and suspension including Pressley(Captain), Mcallistar and the 3 Lithuanian boys who are away on international duty amongst others. So i was expecting odds of around 2.20 but see 1.61 :yikes . Where they are getting these odds from i dont know. So im not sure anymore - maybe find a handicap around as Calderwood i imagine will put out quite an attacking team out there to get their goal difference up.

Livi were my other bet i was looking into but Beanie's the man with all the info on them and like he said - they played for a draw last week, no reason why they wouldnt do it again.

Hmmm - seems like i might avoid anything and just enjoy the finale.

Quick note: I heard on the radio this morning that Dundee Utd are selling a lot of tickets. Certainly isn't a negative. I shall return.

Re: Scottish Premier League 21st / 22nd May

Good news for United - its in their own hands, win and they are safe. ICT have been faltering big time losing their last two home games against Livi and Killie. Brewster being a former United hero - i wonder if he will play a bit of a weakened side with him not wanting his old team to go down?

United i have always said have a decent enough squad with some pretty decent players in there - they havent been able to gel right, whether that was Mcalls fault or not i dont know. But they have picked up since Chisholms been in charge with them winning their 2 away games under him away to Rangers and Dundee so i would sway to them.

Need to wait till a bit closer to kick off though to get a look in at the team news. So far Uniteds centre half Paul Ritchie has been ruled out for them for this game which is a bit of a blow.

I don't think there's a chance in hell of Brewster not going all out for the win Kiko. Simply isn't in his character.

Early team news for ICT is that Prunty is doubtful for Saturday. He missed training yesterday through sickness. If Prunty doesn't make it, Brewster will have to be on the bench, at least
