I am the same as you Kiko, totally gutted (I'm a Tim too). Its almost an unreal feeling, and like you say I expect to turn over to
BBC to see the sports headlines saying "Celtic clinch title" :frown2:
Listened to the game today and we should have had Well dead and buried by HT. Even up until about 70 minutes it was mostly Celtic, bar one Well chance off the bar at the start of the second half. Final 20 minutes of commentary told its own story though, all Well and Celts trying to hit them on the break with Bellamy and Beattie. Sutton was playing holding role in midfield for last 10 mins or so.
And its been proved that if you try and defend like that you will eventually give chances to the other side. Celtic tried to do it at Hearts last weekend and were caught out, thankfully had enough time to pull a 2nd goal out of the hat. Today the Well equaliser came to late to allow any response.
And in the end we can only blame ourselves. If the current Celtic side can't beat a journeyman and makeshift Motherwell side when its needed to then we don't deserve the league. The writings been there most of the season IMO, home defeats by Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs show we are no longer the dominant and feared force we were. The team, much like the Rangers side going for 10 in a row has gone on 1 year too long and have lost their "fear factor".
The most disappointing thing IMO though is I think its a poor Rangers side who are champions. Its certainly not the side inspired by Ferguson, De Boer, Arteta, Moore and Klos of a couple of seasons ago that won the league on GD. However if I think they are a poor side what does that make Celtic?
Rangers are the champions due to getting the most points, the table doesn't lie. Celtic couldn't come in with the result when they needed to and don't deserve the title based on that fact.
Aye, its a shitty feeling but it will pass. It reminds me of 1986 when we pipped Hearts for the title on GD. I was at Love Street that day and the feeling was incredible, winning when it was least expected. That will be the Rangers fans tonight.
