Big centre back from Brighton Para - young and highly rated, with the right nurturing he might just threaten the England squad in years to come. Never seen him play tho.

Aye - i misheard.

It said he is a defender come striker. I got it the wrong way round. Feel a bit better now, although i still know not much about him.

Maloney can go as far as I am concerned and its probably best for the lad if he does. Too many young Celts have threatened to be a player but 3 years down the line they are no better than when they first appeared. Maloney is just another to add to a long list. Best of for him to be having a more realistic chance of regular first team football, something he must now realise he will never get at Celtic. IMO he is simply not good enough for a first 11 spot at Celtic.

Virgo coming in from Brighton Andy but looks like he will be playing at the back.

He can play both positions. I had him at 40/1 to score first last season in Leicester v Brighton in August. He was playing in attack and most of the bookmakers seemed to know, except Stan James

His main position is as a defender though

I am sure he has been linked with a Scotland call up Beanie, another one of these lads who's dad supped a pint of Special at some point and therefore there are claims of Scottish "family". Can't remember the outcome of it though but he obviously hasn't been in any squads as yet.

Aha...your right crowie. He was even named in the Future squad for the game v Austria so looks like we've got first dibs on him.

I think there's big money in bets like that zonker. Bet365 kept on pricing Andy Tod up as a defender, even though he was Dunfermline's top scorer and playing up front in the final few games of the season. Might even be worth a thread on its own for those type of bets for the coming season, as there's always liable to be a few every month.
