Re: CC Leagues and Johnstone's Trophy 12-13th Feb

Doncaster look a good proposition against Crewe. They beat them 3-1 at home at the start of the season and in the 3-3 draw in the first leg of this tie they outshot the home team 24 to 7 according their official site.

The only worries are that Crewe have had a free weekend and might be a bit fresher and there has been a bug sweeping through the Doncaster team so team news is important.

Leyton Orient v Brighton

Leyton Orient are likely to be without three key players for the home match against Brighton.

Not only were Martin Ling's men mauled 5-0 at Bournemouth on Saturday to drop back into the League One relegation zone, defender Justin Miller, midfielder Luke Guttridge and forward Jabo Ibehre all picked up knocks.

Ling admitted: ``I don't think Ibehre, Miller or Guttridge will make Tuesday night.

``It is a blow to lose them, but we will get on with it and hopefully pull off a result against Brighton. It is a huge match.''

Defender Brian Saah plays his final game before beginning a one-match suspension after picking up his fifth booking of the campaign against the Cherries, while midfielder Michael Simpson and forward Efe Echanomi (both knee) are sidelined.

Brighton will be without experienced defender Kerry Mayo for the clash.

Mayo was sent off for two bookable offences during Saturday's defeat at Brentford and begins a two-match ban for his second red card of the season.

Youngster Sam Rents is set to take over at left-back with Joel Lynch staying in the middle alongside Guy Butters.

Boss Dean Wilkins paired Jake Robinson with midfielder Dean Cox in attack at Griffin Park, but with the Seagulls' goal drought now stretching over 400 minutes he is expected to make changes again.

Alex Revell is close to a return from ankle ligament damage, but he will not be ready to figure at Brisbane Road so January recruit Bas Savage could return to the starting line-up after a decent substitute appearance at the weekend.

Charlie Oatway (ankle), Adam Hinshelwood and Paul Reid (both knee) are long-term absentees.

Doncaster v Crewe

Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll will assess several of his players ahead of the visit of Crewe in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy northern final second leg.

O'Driscoll revealed four of his players who featured in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Tranmere were suffering from the bug which has swept through the club.

But the Rovers chief has no other injury concerns after Gareth Roberts returned to action at Prenton Park.

James Coppinger and Jonathan Forte both shook off hamstring and knee injuries respectively to face Tranmere and should again be involved.

Mark McCammon and Lewis Guy are pressing for starting roles as Doncaster seek to return to winning ways after the Prenton Park setback.

Crewe boss Dario Gradi has a doubt over Billy Jones after the defender was withdrawn in the recent 2-1 win at Northampton with a hamstring problem and may not be risked.

Striker Nicky Maynard could return from his hamstring problem but veteran defender Neil Cox is likely to be taken out of the firing line at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Midfielder Ben Rix is set to return from a hernia problem and could come in for Cox, who has been used in a midfield role recently.

Striker Rodney Jack was on the bench for the win at Sixfields following a calf problem and defender Julien Baudet has trained after being troubled by a minor knee problem.

Re: CC Leagues and Johnstone's Trophy 12-13th Feb

Leyton Orient's home form hasnt been to bad recently with draws against crewe and bristol city. Brighton just look in troulble to me, failing to score at home and chesterfield apart, losing on their travels. with the mighty bas savage front its no surprise they are struggling for goals.

unders is my shout on this one but the 1.73 currently on offer doesnt really interest me.

Can't see past Doncaster tonight, with all their troubles they are a good team and I have a feeling they will beat Crewe in what is looking like a sell out.

yes they played Saturday and Crewe didnt and yes they lost last time out but I thnik Crewe will go there and try and play football which could well play into the home teams hands.

I'm not put off by the injury concerns and in my book 2.02 with betfair is a good bit of value.

As always, the feret gives a good preview and his couple of tips on the Brighton site, worth a read.

Re: CC Leagues and Johnstone's Trophy 12-13th Feb

No love for Colchester? I'm only going by their strong home form, and West Broms team are fatigued apparently, judging from what the bbc have said. I can either go for the home win @2.84 or the Home :0 handicap @2.0. I think the outright home win is better value so I'm on it.

Re: CC Leagues and Johnstone's Trophy 12-13th Feb

I like the look of Leyton Orient. Brighton are not a great team, they only beat my team by one goal

They travel to Leyton Orient who have a point to prove after their trouncing by an in form Bournemouth. The home team do have injuries, seven in fact, but are playing a team I really do not rate.

Brighton are away from home, and without the experienced pair of Mayo and Oatway. They do have the amazing Bas Savage though

At odds against the home win is a definate value bet here.

you are quite correct komp, but in my experience once you've signed up for one, you have access to them all.

I emailed this 'ferret' character urging him to start posting on here but to no avail.

Re: CC Leagues and Johnstone's Trophy 12-13th Feb

true jbgb, brighton did only beat your team 1-0 but wasn't that your first home defeat since october against swansea?

not sure that a team who lost 5-0 in their last game and have 7 players out can be a good betting proposition but lets hope they have some defenders who can defend in their squad!

good luck anyway.
