26/12-06 Caernarfon Town vs. Bangor City 0:1

Neither side played last weekend as they were both out of the Welsh Cup.
These two clubs are separated by one place and four points
Cefn have had their results against the clubs at the lower end of the table.
Bangor have been inconsistant this season .
Bangor worse performance was their away loss to the terrrible Airbus.
This was followed by a draw at Welshpool , which is not achieved by many clubs.
The following week they were back to their usual selves and lost at home to Carmarthen.
I think that Bangor are a better side than Cefn , but it depends which Bangor side turns up.
This is not a match I will be risking any money on.
I have not found any team news from either side.
I will not be home until late tomorrow , so if I find any team news it will posted close to the kick-off.
Cefn's Neil Roberts is suspended for the match

Re: WPL Cefn v Bangor 6th Feb

latest news from Feb 6 2007 by Andrew Gilpin, Daily Post

BANGOR City will introduce new signing James Scales, a young midfielder with a Conference background, when they visit Newi Cefn Druids in a rearranged game tonight.

The 20-year-old’s last club was Colwyn Bay having kicked off his career as a youngster at Everton.

Scales was also with Chester during the time that Bangor boss Steve Bleasdale was there as assistant to manager Mark Wright.

The Farrar Road arrival had a run-out in a friendly at Colwyn Bay last midweek, as part of his bid to resume match fitness, not having been involved in competitive action for a month.

Bangor will make changes, with midfielder Ricky Evans and wing-back Martin Beattie, who has had surgery on a long-standing ankle problem, out.

Playmaker Kieran Killackey, missing for months because of injury, will make a comeback but another utility man, Mike Walsh, is doubtful because of a groin strain.

City and Druids are 10th and 11th respectively in the table, separated by four points with Bleasdale’s team having played two more matches.

Bangor’s boss said: “If we win, we will open up a bit of space ahead of Newi and not have to keep looking over our shoulders, but if we lose that will be the case.”

Despite stretching their run to just two defeats in 10 games, Druids boss Dixie McNeil stresses his side cannot rest on their laurels, writes John Bridgwater.

“We’re not safe yet and we still need to win games and finish as high as we can,” he said. “We’ve lost two in our last 10, and we’ve got to look to do the same in our next 10.

The Druids will be at full strength with forward Mike Heverin returning from a two-game suspension.
