Re: CC League one & two 6th Feb

very early days, and only looked at the odds but aren't Oldham looking a bit big?

Before Saturday, Bristol Rovers went about 5 games without conceding, Darlo likely to cause them problems?

will do more research early next week but any input appreciated

Oldham do look on the large side after recent performances and edging there way to the league, Blackpool slipped up badly this weekend and with the arse kicking they will have recieved from Grayson they should put up a better fight here allthough a possible meeting with Cheslea in the FA cup could be playing on their minds.

Re: CC League one & two 6th Feb

Rotherham-Swansea >2.25@1.877 looks like a nice bet to me. I can't be bothered to explain since looking at the respective home and away results this year should make it obvious. Crazy line imo

I did also like PortVale-Northampton <2.5@1.9ish but Pinnacle quickly changed their line to ><2.25 and now the under doesn't look so good I nearly always wait for the bbc to post the match previews with injuries before i bet and it's done me.

Bristol Rovers-Darlington is another <2.5 I like at 1.794. I think darlo have gone under often recently and so have rovers.

Might also bet on Swansea -0.25 and Northampton +0.25 but it's close and i'll have to wait for injury news.

I don't like Oldham much. Despite losing 3-1 to Brentford, Blackpool had 19 shots on target and 10 off target in that game which is almost unheard of. Brentford managed 7 on and 5 off. I think 2.1 is about the right odds for them as Blackpool haven't started playing badly.

Re: CC League one & two 6th Feb

Does anyone know if Talbot is a key player for Port Vale? He's injured according to the bbc so I will probably not bet on the under 2.25 and go for Northampton +0.25 @ 2.04

Which of these players are important for Rotherham?:
Murdock
Hurst
Keane
Robertson

and for Swansea:
Awankwaak
Williams
Way
Monk
Watt
Tudur Jones.

Re: CC League one & two 6th Feb

Northampton +0.25 looks good. Port Vale has not only with Talbot injury problems.

Quote:
New Port Vale recruit Luke Rodgers could be sidelined for a month with a hamstring injury. The 25-year-old striker, a signing £30,000 from Crewe Alex, limped off during Vale's 2-1 defeat at Leyton Orient on Saturday.

He will now miss Vale's home League One clash with Northampton tonight (7.45pm kick-off) after playing only twice since his move during the January transfer window.

Vale manager Martin Foyle expressed frustration at his side's latest injury setback. He said: "Luke pulled up and stopped straight away, and he is still sore. He could be out for two to four weeks. There is no tear in his hamstring, and he feels it is not as bad as it could have been. It is going to be a big blow for us, though.

"I knew he was short of games when I brought him in, but I thought he had looked bright for us. He was getting fitter."

Foyle has now challenged strike duo Leon Constantine and Akpo Sodje to help revive the club's fortunes after seven games without a win since December.

He said: "I've had a good chat with Akpo and Leon about getting back to what they were.

"I've watched a video of them earlier in the season when they were chasing the ball and working hard as a pair. I don't think they have been doing that lately."

Vale received confirmation yesterday that Jason Talbot has been banned for two matches with immediate effect after being sent off at Orient.

Colin Miles (calf) could replace him at left-back tonight, but faces a late fitness test along with Clayton Fortune (thigh).

I know Swansea fans have asked on a few occasions on the Gillingham Rivals forum how we managed to stitch them up for Williams and whether we'd want him back, so I don't think he's that popular there Have you checked the stats at www.soccerbase.com? Normally a good place to start, you can at least see whether they're regulars in the first team or not (although that obviously isn't the be-all and end-all, as I'm sure many teams have their first-team regulars that the fans actually think are crap and should be dropped, but the manager disagrees).

Found only one:

Quote:
Defender Richard Duffy served a one-match ban during Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Cheltenham but will play no part at Millmoor as he is on international duty with Wales as they face Northern Ireland in a friendly.

Aint it great when you put the hours in to find a nice few bets and there is no game. I feel like a junkie deprived of my betting fix now.
