Re: Coca-Cola League Two 3rd Feb

Grimsby have been awfull have they noot of late? Peterborough again i will always be interesed in away from home and also with their big spending. MK Dons to bounce back Over 2.5 in the mansfield shrewsbury game poss. Im looking at doing 3 or 4 over 2.5 bets a week if i can get evens and above on them. How about your Barnet this week Frodo? Could Torquay be going backwards again? Rochdale to get a shock win at walsall. Wrexham at home is one that people always consider.

I beter go look at the transfer market late deals

Re: Coca-Cola League Two 3rd Feb

I'm not really on top of all the transfer dealings so far Komp, however Torquay selling their best player to Chesterfield can hardly be a good thing. I'd really fancy our chances down there this weekend as our two centre-backs are on cracking form. Plymouth were lucky to beat us last week with a dubious penalty in a match where they hadn't looked like scoring (we had only looked marginally more threatening though).

However what's putting me off is the absence of both our key central midfielders, Bailey and Sinclair. Along with the 2 centre-backs these two playing regularly has been the key to our mini revival of late and our depth to deal with both out is questionable.

We've signed a chap on loan from Spurs but given that he's not played for us yet and midfield partner 41 year-old Andy Hessenthaler will be playing his 3rd game of the week I'm not too convinced about our chances. Shame really because I'd have fancied this one alot otherwise.

Rochdale with a few new players and a 5-0 against an admittedly poor MK Dons side could give Walsall a game though I'm not too sure.

Boston to beat a Grimsby side who've lost their last 6 could be interested.

Re: Coca-Cola League Two 3rd Feb

I like Boston too. Grimsby form is just terrible, last 5 away 0-0-5, last 8 overall 1-0-7.
Boston very busy on transfer market.

from BBC

Quote:
Boston United have signed Lincoln defender Chris Cryan and Rochdale midfielder Ernie Cooksey, and taken Barnsley striker Nathan Joynes on loan.
The Pilgrims have taken over 25-year-old Cryan's contract, which runs to the end of the season.

Cooksey, 26, has signed a deal until the end of the season, while Joynes, 21, will spend a month at York Street.

But midfielder Chris Holland, 31, has left the Pilgrims to join Southport on an 18-month contract.

Boss Steve Evans told Boston's website: "When I was instructed to sell Lee Canoville the first player I considered in my mind to bring in was Colin.

"Ernie had two other Football League clubs vying for his services, so it ends a long chase by myself to get the boy.

"Chris had the option of joining Southport on a long-term contract and we thought it was only fair for him to move on."
Financial problems are seems to by solved at the moment:

[b]Boston United chairman Jim Rodwell has revealed the cash-strapped club have received additional investment which will keep the Pilgrims in business until the end of the season.

The League Two strugglers are a reported £1million in debt, but will see out their remaining fixtures this term after a cash injection from a Leeds-based consortium.

"Things are looking rosier, but I wouldn't say I'm relaxed about things - you never know what is around the corner," Rodwell told the Lincolnshire Echo.

"This investment will allow us to complete the season and to focus on footballing matters, like staying in the Football League.

"That is absolutely crucial to the club, but I believe we will do it."[quote]

2.0 on home win is not bad I think.
Boston for me - 3 pts

Only thing that bothers me is that Boston changed half of their team in 3 weeks time. Cant trust them much and will steer clear.

Re: Coca-Cola League Two 3rd Feb

Boston chop and change alot of the time Zzax. They're a side I'd be far more concerned about if they lost their manager rather than one or two players. Steve Evans has coped through the majority of this season without key players and losing the likes of Joachim along the way. He's a manager who's sides always play a tough uncompromising game which makes them a tough side to back against. Equally this makes them a very tough side at home.

Boston's recent home results have proved they're still a tough nut to crack at home with many of the top sides trying and failing recently, they even beat my inform Barnet. Ive heard some bad things about GRimsby's recent performances and their 4-1 spanking at a bad Torquay side has done nothing to convince me otherwise. This one is a Lincolnshire Derby though perhaps not the fiercest of rivalries.

- One further note on the Barnet game at Torquay on saturday, we're now without arguably our most likely match winner in Jason Puncheon to add to the key out of Nicky Bailey and Dean Sinclair. Still think we're marginal value but only very marginal so a no bet for me. Maybe a sly bet on the 0-0.

Off to do some more reading.

Chester and Lincoln are only 2 for me from this div this weekend - both matches will be tight affairs me's thinks but away sides are showing slightly better form of late so AWAYs for me

Re: Coca-Cola League Two 3rd Feb

sdfAccrington have signed 4 players in the transfer window who might play. Chester have sold striker Blundelll, he's scored 6 of their 31 goals this season. I think I can see Accrington -0.25 @ 2.09 being value and anything 2.3 or better for the home win being decent.

Boston I like @2.19
Bristol Rovers <2.5 vs Peterborough

This might sound crazy, but I think Bury :0 @1.962 vs MKDons is a good bet. MK are without McLeod who has 17 goals in the league of the 51 MK have scored. MK lost 5-0 to Rochdale which can't do much for confidence. Bury are in a crap run, but in their last 3 at home they drew them all, vs Lincoln who are 3rd, Hereford 9th and Darlington 13th. Not bad considering they are 17th.

Hartlepool have a striker crisis according to the bbc so I'm going <2.5 @ 1.75. They say 'crisis' as if Eifon Williams and Barker are goal machines when they have 2 goals between them this season. Hartlepool haven't gone over 2.5 in about a dozen game so i'll still bet on in.

I'll go with Barnet :0 @2.1 after what's been said about Torquay.

Another wierd bet I have is Rochade+1 @1.813 away to Walsall. Because:
1. Rochdale aren't bad away this season, 4-3-7 +1 gd. Lost by only a 1 goals margin away to MKDons and Hartlepool
2. Come of the back of a 5-0 win
3. Walsall have Bulter as a doubt, he's scored 9 goals this season.
4. Rochdales recent form is good. Ingore the loss against Bristol Rovers because Bristol had 7 shots on target, 3 off, and Rochdale has 11 on target, 18 off so I'd say that was bad luck.
5. Walsalls form doesn't look fantastic. They have some wins, some draws and a 2 defeats in their last 10 games and haven't hammered anyone by more than 2 goals.

Which leaves me with Wrexham-Wycombe. Wrexham home games average 2 goals a game and Wycombe away average 2 so <2.5 @ 1.82 looks good enough.

How about Macclesfield vs Darlington? Paul Ince`s team should win this and continue their fight against relegation. Darlo have won 2 of their last 10 games and Macca 5. I feel strong for a homewin here. Agree anyone?

  • Was just thinking there, the best type of "fuck off " is the following; You`re playing astro, 5 a side, someone shouts "handball" and the "fuck off" response is fucking class.
