Re: Coca-Cola League One 03-05th feb

I did see that RC! one minute he is begging for a club (and a goal!) and the next minute he is picking ang choosing! will always be keeping my on on the boys career.

like the sound of the unders with your boys jbgb007uk, and will have a bit of that.

Also like Oldham at home to Tranmere, the away team have struggled recently and Oldham will be out to avenge their 3-0 defeat by Bristol City - think they are a very fair price.

Chesterfield vs Bournemouth - UNDERS @ 1.81
Oldham to beat Tranmere @ 1.94

good luck all

I can't really call this a tip as the selection is 1.50 but Blackpool are in cracking form and take on Brentford who are sliding in the opposite direction. All the team news favours the home side too.

Blackpool - 2 points win @ 1.50 (PaddyPower)

Re: Coca-Cola League One 03-05th feb

I notice everyone has avoided the Scunny v Bristol City game like the plague and I'm not too surprised to be honest.
I was suprememly confident tipping City at home to Cheltenham in midweek, but they failed abysmally. I was at the game on Wednesday and we didnt turn in a performance worthy of winning the game, although we pressed on in the later stages and had a good few chances to equalise and a couple of penalties turned down.

Rob Styles the 'premiership ref' took change of the game and what a cunt he was, after seeing him i'm quite happy with the part timers of the lower leagues. He wanted to be bigger than the teams involved and he suceeded. I'd be interested in seeing the referees report on that night but as we all know they are private FA business but i can't help but think the game would be better off if we were to actually know how the assesors see performances.

I digress, back to the game and of course it could go any way. We beat them 2-0 away last season and I'm sure the 1-0 defeat at home to Cheltenham would have been greeted with dismay at Scunny as it should act as a wake up call to City if they are feeling any complacency.

What I do feel is that there will be a couple of goals tomorrow - should either team take the lead, the other will be desperate to reply which will leave gaps at the back. Before Wednesday, City had gone 10 games without one under 2 goals and only 3 of Scunnys last 13 have been under 2 goals

Therefore only one bet for me on this one - at quite tight odds.

Scunny v Bristol City 2 goals or more 1.38 with betfair.

I'm on the Over 2.0/2.5 at 1.90 with Lads THM.

I can see goals goals goals and was just about to back over 2.5 at 10/11 with Stan James cause I tend to think they're goals markets are basically very good but couldn't believe Lads where offering 2.0 ???

Re: Coca-Cola League One 03-05th feb

I am going for Scunthorpe tonight. I for one cannot wait to see how Kevan Hurst plays in a good team. He is a very talented winger who creates so many goals, he was the leagues leading goal maker before he left Chesterfield. He also finally has got some good strikers to play with and this could be the difference between the two teams tonight. He is 10/1 to score first.

Steve Brooker and Phil Jevons are both doubts for the City, and whilst I have not seen much of them this season I think that this could be a big loss to city. I also do not like Kevin Betsy as a player so if he starts I can see problems for City.

Scunny have lots of injuries but not to crucial players.

I think the home win could be value.

My bets for tonight, just for interest.

Scunthorpe 13/10 - 1pt
Kevan Hurst to score first - 10/1 - 1pt
Billy Sharp to score 11/8 - 1pt

Re: Coca-Cola League One 03-05th feb

just for the record, Jevons hasn't played in the last 5 matches and Brooker has ben a bit of a bit part player this season missing quite a few games through injury.

Enoch Showumni is the man Scunny should be worried about tonight.

Betsy came on as a sub on weds and was the only positive to take out the game, looks a decent signing to me but time will tell

Fair enough, like I say, I know very little about City this season. I do know Showumni is a talented striker, but I think if you are without Jevons I would really fancy Scunthorpe who are a very talented team.

THM what are your views on your team then? Strengths + Weaknesses

Re: Coca-Cola League One 03-05th feb

didnt think we had any weaknesses until last wednesday lol

were 18 unbeaten before that.

We are quite a big and strong team but we do lack a left winger and don;t have a great deal of pace in the team.

However, we went up to Oldham and played them off the park in the 3-0 victory when they were the form team in the division.

City find it harder to break down teams who are looking for the draw so it should help playing a team who will have a good go.

As I said earlier, this one is too hard to call for me, i'm just confident there will be a couple of goals.

Wayne Andrews has been brought in on loan from Coventry to cover for Jevons and has already got a couple of goals.

hope its a good game

A tidy profit and a good full blooded game. Shame about the pitch though.

Re: Coca-Cola League One 03-05th feb

good work jbgb007uk.

I can't believe that no-one on here had a little insight on the pitch though, it was a massive factor in the game and i'm sure someone on here had that info to share.

wasn't particulary impressed with the ref either, but Billy Sharp got his 21st goal on his 21st birthday so at least Sky got the headline they were looking for
