Re: CIS Insurance Cup 30-31st Jan

Happened on the 16th for anyone thinking of betting on St Johnstone.

St Johnstone striker Steven Milne will be out of action for six weeks after surgery on a knee injury.

Milne's operation will see him sidelined until March and boss Owen Coyle said he was disappointed to lose such an important player.

"Obviously it's a blow but I suppose the consolation is that he could have been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign," he said on the club website.

"However, it's a significant loss in a squad that is already quite stretched."

Re: CIS Insurance Cup 30-31st Jan

Aye Milne will be missed Mahatma but i think Liley theyve brought in as cover from Morton is decent enough back-up. They aint too short in the striking sept. I just couldnt get incolved truth be told. Nah maybe hibs ht/ft if im getting evens and Hibs are playing a strong team. There should be more noise from the hibs fans than St J's in an unatmospheric stadium.

I would be interested in reports on the falkirk v kilmarnock game at the weekend but truth be told i prefer both these teams away from home. I can't see me getting too involved in either of the games.

Re: CIS Insurance Cup 30-31st Jan

Fancy Falkirk tonight to get at least a draw so taken them on the asian handicap - i think Falkirk are slighty better than Killie going with performances of recent against the dons. But this will be close i think although concern is the Motherwell pitch which will suit Killie more than the passing of falkirk. Still 11/5 for Falkirk and they are not that even if Killie beat them at home at the weekend at worst i make them 7/4 but actually couldn't separate them at 6/4.

Not really interested in the Hibs match tomorrow although i think Hibs will get through since St Johnstone seem to struggle away from home.

Kilmarnock still got injury and striker worries.

Quote:
Kilmarnock v Falkirk

Kilmarnock defenders Grant Murray and Garry Hay face fitness tests ahead of the CIS Cup semi-final against Falkirk.
Allan Johnston returns from a groin injury, but David Lilley, Danny Invincible, Paul Di Giacomo, David Fernandez and Ryan O'Leary are out.

Falkirk defender Kenny Milne is available for John Hughes' side after missing Saturday's 2-0 defeat by Kilmarnock through suspension.

New signing Carl Finnigan is available for the cup tie.

Just so you know mate, Killie have won 5 of the last 6 (albeit in the league) against Falkirk in recent times.

The 0-2 win at the weekend for Killie came at a time when they were struggling for a bit of form as well.

But I suppose the cup games are different and the AH looks the way to go, especially if its at +1 and with a couple of the injuries Killie have.

In the other game, I cant see Hibs losing it tbh, but I dont think St J will make it easy for them.

The games are at neutral venues. Killie-Falkirk is at Fir Park (Motherwells ground) and the St J.-Hibs game is being played at Tynecastle (Hearts ground).

And the problems that Hibs have in the cup is related to the Scottish Cup, not the League Cup (tonights competition). Hearts fans love to remind them its been 105 years since they won the Scottish Cup.

Did know that that and is a concern along with the pitch but i like the asian handicap of +0.25 on falkirk because i think they are the better team imho but Killie have a manager that is very good tactically. Wished i got evens on the 0.25 but never mind still fancy it as i think there is a bit of value on it but not as much.

Re: CIS Insurance Cup 30-31st Jan

Im glad i never got involved. I was reading that St johnstone's fan favourite Peter MacDonald has been passed fit to play up front. I can see St Johnstone scoring but Hibs on their day should have too much for st J and there's questions on wether St Johnston have enough muscle to beat Hibs. Im looking at the over 2.5 but 1.84 might not be a great price. I suppose im just guessing at that and not basing it on anything. I'll need to check but i think St Johnstone have scored in mort of their away games this season although this isnt technically an away game of sorts. I know they havent met since the 2002 season but St Johnstone havent scored against hibs in their last 7 meetings. One for the traditionist maybe. Nah i'm keeping my money in my pocket UNLESS its on the tv where i might have an interest bet.

Good luck if you have a bet though. Im gonna go start on the more interesting imo weekend fixtures

Games live on the BBC tonight Komp.

Looks like the "bet in play" function might take a battering tonight.
