Well anythings possible while Jordans covering at Leftback or should i say left wingback add that to the fact City cannot score for toffee, then anybody who backs City @ those odds wants locking up even with Barton back.

No, your boys are up for the cup judging on the last round performance surely? I'm sure Pearce will have them fired up. A two goal winning margin for me.

Re: FA Cup 27-28th Jan

I think Ipswich @ 1.72 are a definite LAY for me.

Was at the Swansea game against Gillingham midweek and we (Swans) looked pretty good. Defence not conceding much and we beat Sheffield Utd 3-0 away last round.

Also got our best midfielder Andy Robinson coming back to full fitness. Either lay Ipswich or go with us on the asian handicap.

Re: FA Cup 27-28th Jan

I think the 11/10 about Boro on the Ladbrokes shop coupon is a must. Price has been cut everywhere and best available is Evens with Lads but I can see that being cut.

I think Boro are picking up after a relatively poor start to the season - In last 7 they have only lost once and that was 2-1 down to Blackburn at Ewood. OK granted they drew 1-1 with Hull in the FA Cup and just managed to hold on in replay to win 4-3 but with other bookies offering as low as 4/5 - bit of value if you fancy Boro.

Hold on ..................

Bistol City are unbeaten in 17 this includes the games against a poor Coventry and also a penalties win against Notts Forest.

Nah 2nd in Div 1 against 11th in Prem. AWAY WIN

Re: FA Cup 27-28th Jan

If you still fancy boro bigkegman, the Bristol City team news should help, Our best centre-back - 6'6 Jamie McCombe misses this match through suspension and we also have a bit of a striker crisis. Although Enock Showumni who has scored 5 in 5 plays, Phil Jevons misses out through injury, the lad we have on loan from Coventry is cup-tied and Steve Brooker is only 50-50.
Should Brooker not make it, it looks likely we'll either play 4-5-1 or put the youngster Myrie-Williams in who is no great shakes.

Re: FA Cup 27-28th Jan

Anyone fancy Ipswich-Swansea over 2.25 goals? Swansea away this season in div1 is p14 f22 a22 and Ipswich at home p15 f25 a20. Ipswich miss 2 defenders and Jason de Vos (where does he play? is he influencial?)

Never before have i seen such an uninspiring set of fixtures for a cup. Not worth getting involved imo.

Re: FA Cup 27-28th Jan

Re Swansea Abott is not cup tied so can play...but he only came on for the last 10 minutes of our midweek game against Gillingham (we won 2-0), so not sure how fit he is at the moment.

Trundle looked pretty cumbersome TBO, but Akinfenwa up front is really playing well. I've been to all the home games this season and at the moment we look like a good team, midfielder and captain Darren Pratley is coming back to full fitness, as is our other best midfielder Andy Robinson, who scored last Tues night. We are playing with confidence.

Well just checking on Betfair and Ipswich are 2.06 at the moment. Im only gonna lay if they fall below 2. Also Andy Robinson 12/1 to score first, 9/4 anytime. Not bad odds, could be worth a small wager to keep you interested.

Re: FA Cup 27-28th Jan

Welcome to TDP Eggy and thanks for the input, Trundle seems to be his own man to me and it just depends which one turns up on the day as he has it in him to be a match winner if he wants to be but he just seems to play how he see's fit.

Blackburn will now be at a loss without Savage as has been proved in the past and i have a sneaky feeling luton will take this to a replay.

Bolton are the side to watch IMO as they have a habit of turning over Arsenal and need to start getting there arses in gear again, Arsenal may be on the up but as Wegner doesent seem to take domestic cups very seriously Bolton should be in with a shout here.
Not confident enough to back Bolton but a lay of Arsenal could be in order.

Watford could also spring a surprise after there midweek result against Blackburn, they'll be on the up and full of confidence against a Hammers side who have a bit of an Injury and suspension crisis and now must be fully committed to staying in the Prem.

Re: FA Cup 27-28th Jan

Odds on Birmingham look about right don't they, after the Newcastle game i thought they looked upto the job against most Prem sides if they drew them in the next round but Reading are gonna make a game of it.

Bar the top 4 Birmingham couldent have picked a harder match, Reading are riding high in the Prem putting in some solid performances and still experienced enough to know what life was like in the Championship.
This has the makings of a good close game, another that i'd highly fancy to end in a draw and probably -2.5 goals.
