Don't agree mate... The young Catalan is a very good player with great potential but the way Scholes has been performing lately and given the huge gap in experience i think this comment is not accurate. I also think that Gilberto's absence can prove very important in this one. |

Re: English Premiership 20-21st Jan
k33nan , this is a thread to discuss matches from a betting perspective. Christian , although a citeh fan , has given his opinion and it's a valid one . You on the other hand have interjected with some useless nonsense that nobody on here will feel is usefull or relevant.
Please keep any of this type of post to the talk sport forum |

Re: English Premiership 20-21st Jan
I don't post in here often, but I do read the thread. Info is usually of high standard. Let's keep it this way and keep the fan stuff elsewhere.
I do feel however that christian's post may be valid but it's still biased. I would pay a ticket to watch ManU playing this year and there are not many clubs in Europe I would do that for. Having said that I will probably lay back and just watch the game. ManU failed to dominate their games against Chelsea and Arsenal at home so this certainly is something to worry about for those backing them. I have a strange feeling that Spurs may win their second game away this year at Fulham. Not an easy one though. |

Re: English Premiership 20-21st Jan
yeh, the mods need to clean this thread up a little, alot of waffling going on.
on a gambling sense, can't think why anyone would really bet on the 2 big games this weekend on a serious level. Galilee, i see your point about Spurs, at first look the over2.5 @ 2.12 looks pretty handsome too considering the scoring boots both have on right now...but its still a derby and both played on wednesday in the cup, which i assum Fulahm would be more tired than Spurs were afterwards. One that stands out for me is the wigan vs everton on sunday, was reading that a renewed Rangers' bid for McCulloch "could" go through soon, leaving just that oaf Heskey up front and reading that theres a bit of tactics bickering from players, doesnt look good. Everton look decent when ive seen them and with Arteta now back from suspension, i think the evens for the dnb is very decent. |

Re: English Premiership 20-21st Jan
Spurs aint an easy one as there a bit of a Jeckyl and Hide side at the moment as there great at home but shite on the Rd, Fulham seem the 'draw' kings at the moment and i wouldent be suprised to see this go the same way.
I have to agree with Keema with regards to the Man City v Blackburn game and Barton wouldent be so much of a miss as we never got beat in the 3 games he missed a couple of weeks back but then we had Richards to fill in and Onohua to fill in for Richards. Onuoha could be missing for this one as he has been having hamstring problems and if thats the case then City will be lacking @ the back especially if Sun plays as he's been out for most of the season. City as mentioned are still lacking up front as they couldent hit a cows arse with a banjo for most of this season and i expect tomorrow to be no different allthough if they play like they have been playing of late then it'll be another dire game playing on the counter and expecting to nick it by the odd goal. Blackburn have turned the tide after a dodgey few weeks in December and really put City to the Sword in the reverse fixture in September ,City have come on a bit since then and its a Pity Neil has not been sold yet as he had a stormer against us. Its a pity Barton is suspended as i would have liked to see him get stuck into Savage and it'll be interesting to see how Richards fairs against him as he shown last week he's capable of losing his composure and Savage will probabaly try it on as usual with him. City are also weak on the left since Thatchers departure, I've never been a big Jordan fan as he's to slow for the modern game and prone to mistakes as Sheffield Wendesday found out midweek but just couldent capitalise on them and without shifting Distin across we have nobody else to fill that position. If Richards or Onuoha do not play Right back tomorrow and Jordan plays on the left then City will be seriously weakened at the back and i wouldent be surprised to see Blackburn win. otherwise I would never consider predicting a result in this match but the unders may well be worth a bet. Re: English Premiership 20-21st Jan
Liverpool v Chelsea
Think anyone that is backing Chelsea to win this game are mad to be honest. They may well win it but i definately dont see the value in it. Chelsea have 5 wins in their last 10 league games which is hardly the form of champions. Take into account two of these were 3-2 wins wit their goals coming in the dying minutes of the games. Since Terry has been injured they have been shipping goals for fun. Mediocre attacks from Everton, Fulham, Reading and Wigan have all scored 2 goals against them recently. Players playing out of position such as Essien in centre half does their cause no use. Cech returns which is a boost as he is a cracking keeper but you have to question whether he is being rushed back too soon. Liverpool on the other hand have one of the best home records in the league. They are actually far solider than many give them credit for with 8 wins in their last 11 matches. Whats even more impressive is they have kept an amazing 10 clean sheets in their last 11 matches so its going to be tough for Chelsea. Liverpool also have the weapons to expose this Chelsea side. The majority of Chelsea goals conceded have been caused from set pieces and pace. Liverpool have an abundance of attackers with hese talents in Bellamy, Crouch, Kuyt who canand will cause plenty of problems. With all this i think Chelsea are there for the taking and Liverpool on draw no betis a cracking bet. Liverpool to win DNB @ 2.00 Skybet 5/10 |

A quick glance at this seasons record against the other "big 4 clubs" ... 0-3 at Emirates, 0-1 at Stamford Bridge, 0-2 at Old Trafford, and I'll also include the 1-3 FA Cup loss. That's 0 clean sheets in 4 games and 9 goals conceded, and I'd expect that to weigh at least a heavily in your mind as screeds of cleansheets against the likes of Watford and Charlton ... Having said that ... Chelsea with Terry MISSING defend like Arsenal (poorly) so Liverpool are a reasonable chance here ... (they're just not quite the "superteam" at the back) |

Re: English Premiership 20-21st Jan
I can see what your saying Gooner and if you ever read my tips here you will realise im someone who almost never goes back stats like i have here but its too much to turn away.
As for the cup games, I only edited them out as cup style is alwaysdifferent to league games imo - also the hammering to Arsenal, yes Arsenal played 2nd string but Liverpool didnt play their best team either so dont really count that. And being defeated 2-0 and 1-0 at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge is by no means anythng to be ashamed of either. |
