Shortlist for me is Clyde, Dundee, St Johnstone, Cowdenbeath, Albion and Albion.

Trying to get hold of a berwick player to see how their confidence is - cracking match on paper anyhow

Cowdenbeath - don't want to touch them after getting paws burnt last week but surely they should get a result ?

Arbroath also ??? - komp doesn't like it though

Albion ??? - Danq likes Elgin.

Need to revisit but shortlist looks like getting shorter already.

Peterhead and Stranraer have just bouht a striker each tomi so you never know. Stranraer have a shocking defence so again the overs would look. I don't think it's a great bet though unless i was getting 1.80 or better. Im not long up and about. The weather is gonna be a factor this weekend. I'll comment once i get myself together

i havent checked lobster but again i aint interested in this one. I think Partick were a bit lucky in their win at Hamilton last time.

D1 - Not sure if Airdrie can get the 3 points so it'll be a lay on St Johnstone - just waiting for the remaining amount to get matched so get stuck in to St J guys.

D2 - Cowdenbeath for me and a lay on Morton

D3 - Berwick as 6/4 outsiders with Laddies? - a wee go at that I think, Also thinking about going against Albion Rovers - not sure yet, will read and decide - probably not.

Men i aint against Albion but imo Cliftonhill is a poor poor playing surface , i have seen good teams going there mainly last season and really toil now Albion have improved but no way are they a 8/13 shot and i think it was Komp that said watch out for M Johnston and Nelson Elgin dangers , so i can understand his play on overs in this game, i just think 9/2 Elgin is worth a small bet i have been in that ground to many times to fall for a short fav.

Welcome d as regards to laying Morton you may be right, but i have seen both this season and i am a fan of Morton in this game , think Stirling may have lost edge a bit ,short up front last week etc , Morton have went through a sticky spell , looked shaky at the back for a while but new keeper has helped and i think they are just a bit better than Stirling minus D Sheilds back to Gretna. Also spoke to a Morton fan who thinks they are hitting form, they took a while to beat Alloa last week but conditions made it difficult he reckons they would have won easy on a good day. Pitch should be okay he said it held up well last week ,Stirling beat them at Stirling earlier in season but for some strange reason Morton tried to sit back and play for a draw, only until 2 down did they start to play cant see that hapening, but this may be do or die for Stirling so may have a go.

Stats dont lie but my last report Elgin 0 3 Albion was Albion had 4 shots on target and scored 3 goals on a heavy pitch, i just think the pricing is wrong in this game i would make a book of evs Albion 11/5 Elgin , just looking at this as a no value bet for Albion.

Yeh I had Albion at 4/5 initially but looking at the stats gave them the benefit and went to 5/7. Just looking at the local rags from last week from puntersindex
and it looks like encouraging words from the new man at Elgin versus hard earned stuff for Albion against the dreadful Montrose so maybe first thoughts were closer to the mark (although I'd backed Albion last week so no complaints with that result).

Re: The Scot's 1-2-3 Thread - 20th Jan

Good stuff chaps some good reading. Ive had comp and komp probs all night. Anyhow i managd to get them sorted and this might be me here from now till kick off. The wind and the rain is gonna come into play tomorrow and im worried about whats going to be left for us. Lets see whats happening there if anything. Nope nothing on the weather i can see for now.

Bah i made a coffee and never touched it. Lucky im part of the Microwave Generation. I'll get into this as we go. I never knew Airdrie had manager of the month and player of the month. Always a bad sign i never even looked at their recent form for now. i just like taking them v st Johnstone and i thought the price was too high. Will the manager of the month curse strike again? I suppose the draw it the big worry. st Johnstone could win it too i suppose. I just wouldnt be on the home at the price. Im away to do my first Scottish lay possibly

15:00 Albion R. (1.6) Draw (4.3) Elgin (5.8)
15:00 Dumbarton (2) Draw (3.6) Stenhousemuir (3.75)
15:00 East Fife (3) Draw (3.5) Berwick (2.5)
15:00 East Stirling (4.8) Draw (3.75) Arbroath (1.73)
15:00 Queens Park (1.73) Draw (3.75) Montrose (5.5)

Quick 3rd div thoughts..

Fancy Albion to win tomorrow, but 1.6 is verging on too short for me.

I like evens on Dumbarton at home to a very dodgy Stenny side. Stenny are kings of under-performing when expected to get a result.

Also loving the 6/4 about Berwick against East Fife. Fifers not won in 4 games i think, and failed miserably against lowly Elgin last week. Another loss tomorrow for sure. AWAY WIN

Shire v Arbroath - Lichties with a couple of new signings on show, and Reilly guaranteed to score first (see my other thread ), we should get a result here on the rotten pitch, and the odds aint too bad. AWAY WIN

QP against montrose, tricky one to call again, Montrose have to get a result some time, right?! Manager EVENTUALLY buggered off, and they have a decent squad. I will go against my heart, and say montrose at 9/2 is huge

Dumbarton, Berwick, Arbroath, Montrose for me. Confident about Arbroath most.
