Voided Bets

On Saturday I had a treble and the first two won. The third leg was Reading V Burnley and they voided the bet that involved Reading.

I got paid out on the double but now I am bit peeved as Reading are winning 2-0.

Can I claim that they shouldn't have voided the game especially as the match was being replayed so quickly?

This will probably cost me a couple of hundred quid.

Views please

In short, not a chance, especially when you're complaint is after the event. Why didn't you just put the money from the double on Reading tonight?

Re: Voided Bets

Theres nothing you can do. Replays are different rules for different bookies. There isnt anything you can do now as the Reading game is underway/finished.

To look at it from the bookmakers perspective you could have easily just placed all your winnings from the bet on Saturday on Reading to win tonight.

This is the key part of your statement.

You wouldnt be so peeved and want to get the bet to stand if they had voided that match and reading were getting thrashed, as I said before you could have just bet all your winnings on the match tonight. After the first two matches had won you could maybe have phoned them up and got the bet to stand on the replay, some bookies would let you do that but absolutely nowt you can do now.

Re: Voided Bets

I suppose that I should be grateful that one of the teams in my double won with a last minute winner.

Here is what the bookie says:-
In response to your query I can confirm that our rules state "any postponed match will be treated as a non runner for settling purposes unless it is played within the same week (ending Sunday)".

As this match was not replayed during the same week it is a void game in accordance with our betting rules.

Oh well.

The weekend is fast approaching and time to make more money.

Back against Slough at any opportunity, they lost 5-1 last night.
