Re: Coca-Cola League Championship: 12/13th Jan

shortlist time;
WBA at 1.66 maybe good , I know Luton did well at brum recently but I've been waiting for the baggies to start producing again and I think Luton could suffer

Preston maybe but I'd have to have some decent positive news.
Brum should beat Leeds as they should have beaten the hatters , will hold fire at that price
Cardiff i dont trust
Colchester yet again seem a bit over priced at home , I know MP will be looking at this

Coventry at home at 2.3 - more digging on that
I may get on sheff wed at 3/1 , I think that's quite a large quote
Hull at home over evens against a middling QPR , maybe
Norwich evens too looks backable
Soton look a tad short , will look at teamnews
Stoke is a big price and I like it a lot
Sunderland could tempt me in a double

I don't generally back against Leicester, Keem. I always have it in my mind that they're really stuffy and tight although I haven't looked at the stats. I guess it's a possible for me.

WBA - aye, I'll need to look at them again as their last few home results are very impressive indeed. Goals aplenty.

Nothing really standing out for me just yet.

Colchester are a good price considering their outstanding home form, ill back them along with inform Derby even though Sheffield Wednesday have decent form. Billy Davis has continued to grind out results week in week out with Derby. Stoke is another team around the even money mark which would be great value.

Re: Coca-Cola League Championship: 12/13th Jan

Looks to be some good odds on home prices there, starting with West Brom to win at home against Luton on Friday night. That 1.66 is already gone as far as I can see with the best price available 8/13 as everyone piles into the home win.

Anything over evens for Preston at Barnsley looks good value to me and at 13/10 I'll be snapping that up.

As MickeyPaul can't make his mind up about Colchester I'll just take the opportunity to point out that they haven't drawn at home yet in 13 games so I'll just back the draw from now on until they do

Re: Coca-Cola League Championship: 12/13th Jan

13 of Derby's 15 victories this season have been by a 1 goal margin. So backing the draw with Derby(-1) @ 3.75 might tempt me. Both Bet365 and Betway are offering the bet at the moment.

Don't disagree on the Preston shout. Barnsley are on a terrible run and have only managed 2 goals in the last 6 games. They did manage to hold WBA to a 1-1 draw a while back though.

I'm also liking Southampton(-0.75) @ 2.05. Burnley are currently getting pumped by Reading in the FA Cup. I mentioned that they've got major goal scoring problems (1 goal in the last 6 away games), Southampton shouldn't have too many problems out scoring them at home.

Early days though and I'll wait for some more team news.

Ended up 3-2 at Reading and with their old player Akimbiyi back they will be a better team so not backing against Burnley .

Stoke is the real standout price here , Wolves struggled v oldham last weekend and Stoke at home look handy to say the least

Yeah Keem, I'll probably revise my thoughts on Burnley. True to form they wait until I post up the fact their getting pumped and then score 2.

Re: Coca-Cola League Championship: 12/13th Jan

Birmingham(-1) @ 1.95 from Expekt appeals. Leeds have been terrible away from home this season with a record of 2W 1D 10L. Looking closer and 6 of those 10 defeats have been by at least a 2 goal margin.

They've just sold Central defender Kilgallon to Sheffield United and I doubt they'll get a similar quality replacement by Saturday, if at all.

Birmingham had a good result against Newcastle in the FA Cup last week. Brum fought back to secure a draw with 10 men. There was a blip against Luton the previous week but I expect them to get back to winning ways against a poor Leeds side.

It's too early to make a final decision, but
Derby, Southampton and Stoke are on my
short list.
Birmingham and Cardiff - odds are too short,no bet,
maybe QPR away, Preston looks also interesting,
nice round, but no bets without team news.

I fancy Wednesday more myself bosman , although they were beaten by Hull recently, maybe it's just the price I think is too big.

Anyway dont forget to post any team news on the thread

Re: Coca-Cola League Championship: 12/13th Jan

The price on Wednesday is really too big. The difference between this
two teams is not so huge, as the odds shows - 1.83 - 4.00.
But also withouth team news I see Derby winning this one.
They are serious promotion candidat, very busy on transfer
market. They don't trash every opponent, but they are winning
most of important games lately.

One thing we do need to be doing is backing the over 2.5 goals as there are usually goals in the Derby Sheff Wed games. I seem to remember that there were four penalties in one game

Re: Coca-Cola League Championship: 12/13th Jan

Derby have 6 overs from 13 home games
Sheffield Wednesday have 9 overs from 13 away games

Derby have 2 overs in the last 10 games.
Sheffield Wednesday have 9 overs from last 10 games.

Pinnacle are offering 2.10 for over 2.5 goals.

A nice defensive injury crisis for both teams would go down a treat.
