Doncaster v Darlington
Doncaster Skipper Graeme Lee and powerful striker Mark McCammon will miss the Johnstone's Paint Trophy northern area semi-final clash with Darlington.
McCammon hurt his neck in the FA Cup defeat to Bolton over the weekend and will miss the northern section semi-final clash with the Quakers, who are managed by former Rovers boss Dave Penney.
Lee is sidelined due to a one-match suspension under the totting-up procedure, while fellow defender Gareth Roberts sits out the second of a three-game ban.
James O'Connor will also be absent. The defender has been playing with the aid of pain-killing injections in recent weeks and although one was not required on Saturday, he will be rested.
Lewis Guy and Jason Price, second-half replacements for Jonathan Forte and McCammon respectively against Bolton, will be hoping to start, as will new signing Jon-Paul Pittman following his release from Nottingham Forest.
Dave Penney's Darlington squad is almost back to full strength following as he prepares to face his former club.
Fortunately for Penney, who was Rovers boss between December 2001 and August 2006, the Quakers' league match against Bury at the weekend was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Gigg Lane with several players suffering from illness.
Only Neil Wainwright continues to feel the effects of the bug and he is doubtful, but Joey Hutchinson (hip) and Gaetano Giallanza (knee) remain sidelined.
New signings Kevin Burgess, David Wheater, Evan Horwood and Lee Jones go straight into the squad but Tim Ryan is ineligible having already played in the competition for Boston.
David Rowson has returned from his loan spell at Boston while Mark Albrighton has moved back in the opposite direction. Phil Stamp has left the club by mutual consent.
Shrewsbury v Bristol Rovers
Shrewsbury boss Gary Peters is expected to keep faith with the same team which faced Hartlepool for the Johnstone's Paints Trophy semi-final clash with Bristol Rovers.
Kevin Langmead returned from a hamstring problem at the weekend and has shown no ill-affects so should be fit to continue in defence.
Derek Asamoah is close to a return from an ankle injury he sustained in the 3-0 win over Hereford last month and faces a fitness test.
Goalkeeper Ryan Esson continues his comeback from four months out with a broken cheekbone and came through a reserve match unscathed.
Midfielder Steve Hogg has left to join Scottish First Division side Gretna so new arrival Mike Jones could come into the squad after joining on a month's loan from Tranmere.
Peters insisted it is a good time to be a Shrewsbury fan and has called on the supporters to get behind the club after some negative comments from sections of the crowd against Hartlepool.
``We know 80% of supporters are fully behind us and helping us forward,'' Peters told the club's official website. ``We've played some great football and I want everybody to enjoy it, even that small minority who are making the ground a negative place.
``This is one of the most exciting times in history to be a Shrewsbury fan with everything that is going on at the club and new ground.''
On-loan striker Stuart Nicholson returns to contention for Bristol Rovers.
Nicholson was forced to sit out Friday's FA Cup victory over Hereford as West Brom did not want their player to become cup-tied but he will challenge Rickie Lambert, Richard Walker and Lewis Haldane for a starting role at Gay Meadow.
Rovers boss Paul Trollope has no fresh injury concerns with defender Byron Anthony still recovering from knee ligament damage and midfielder Ryan Green yet to shake off a groin problem.
Anthony underwent an operation last week but is still some way off making a comeback and is not expected to be back in contention until the end of February.
