Re: Scottish Cup: 6/7th Jan
Queen of the south have signed steven Dobbie from St Johnstone. He's been on loan at dumbarton and been firing the goals in but how will he cope in the first division? His signing and McQuilken and possibly Tosh has taken the shine off Dundee for me. Dundee have a couple of Rangers youths in on loan and injuries to Rae and Swankie. If i can get evens im taking it though.

Brechin City manager Michael O'Neill has several injury problems ahead of their visit to Cowdenbeath. Midfielder Grant Johnston and defender Scott Walker are both out, while Ross Archibald and Paddy Connolly are rated very doubtful.

from the bbc
looks like a draw and a replay to me.
Im gonna wait till morning and see what the papers are saying.

Hamilton Academical v Livingston

Striker Paul McLeod should be fit again, and Mark McLaughlin, James Gibson, Scott Tunbridge and Derek Fleming could also be back.
Livingston manager John Robertson faces an injury crisis, with striker Steven Craig, defender Scott Mitchell and midfielder Daryl Smilie doubtful.
Neil Teggert (thigh), Liam Fox (ankle) and Steve Hislop (hernia) are also doubts for the Lions.

Apparently we have a team plauged with injury and illness and Jim Chapman is unsure what tactics to use as this affects the majoirty of the squad ?

Could be worth a penny or two on Stenny to win this one! Won the previous 3 meetings between the teams recently.

Re: Scottish Cup: 6/7th Jan
I'll take ICT tomorrow...they are playing well when on the ball, just being let down at times by some dodgy defending. They should have plenty possession tomorrow and the opportunity to let their attacking game click, driven by a dynamic midfield and a strikeforce that usually finds the net fairly regularly.
3pts ICT @ 1.72 with NordicBet
Might join that with a little lay of St Johnstone too...they look a little short against a good cup side like Ayr.

Re: Scottish Cup: 6/7th Jan
MORTON might just be worth a little bet given the apprent injury problems for Kilmarnock.
Grant Murray is suspended, while Frazer Wright, Danny Invincible, Simon Ford and Allan Johnston miss out but Colin Nish should return from a virus. Alan Combe, Gordon Greer, James Fowler and Steven Naismith are all doubtful for the trip to Greenock.
Killie were rotten when they missed a lot of players up at Aberdeen on Boxing day and Morton are on a good enough run

Re: Scottish Cup: 6/7th Jan
To me Kilmarnock always struggle against 1st division sides (morton could be considered one in effect MR C i suppose) in the cup. I think there is a bit of value on Morton but in all honesty i can't see where the gooals are gonna come from from either team. Is Linn making his debut for Morton today? He'll be cup tied surely.
Under 2.5 is 2.14 at betfair and have taken a little of that. Good luck if you go for Morton Mr C and a 1-0 win for the home side would suit me fine
Cheers for the Livi info Monty. I wont be having anymore of livi but will still want to look at it. It was only 3 or 4 games ago Livi went to a full strength Partick side with 7 out injured and won 3-2.
Quote:
JOHN ROBERTSON may be forced into fielding another under strength Livingston side for their Scottish Cup third round tie at Hamilton.
Robbo had just 12 fit first-team players to choose from in Livingston's two-goal league defeat at Dundee on Tuesday.
He included 16-year-olds Jay Griffiths - who became the youngest person to play for the West Lothian club after substitute appearances against Airdrie and Dundee - Mark Torrance and David Sinclair on the bench at Dens Park.
And the Lions manager could again have to rely on youngsters given his list of injury and illness worries.
Scott Mitchell, Steven Craig and Daryl Smylie all missed the trip to Tayside due to illness and are all doubts for the Accies clash.
In addition, Neil Teggart (thigh), Liam Fox (ankle) and Steve Hislop (hernia) are all expected to be unavailable for selection. James McPake, who has been converted from a centre forward to a centre half this season, may again start up front after impressing in attack against Dundee.
The Lions drew 1-1 with the Accies in a league clash on the artificial turf in early December and despite their poor league form will be aiming for a cup win.
Robbo was confident that his side can bounce back and book a place in the fourth round of the competition.
He said: "It's not an ideal draw, I don't think we've had a home draw in the Scottish Cup for three or four years at least. I'd have preferred an away game against a big gun to generate a bit of finance.
"It's a winnable tie and it was a cracking match when we played the last time at New Douglas Park. That game could have gone either way.
"Both teams will fancy their chances of winning it, but we're looking forward to playing Billy Reid's side."

Offilong is the key i think.
Looks like the Aberdeen v Hibs game is on Wednesday so that explains that one.

Re: Scottish Cup: 6/7th Jan
Over 2.5 goals looks good at 1.60 on betfair for the cowdenbeath game
http://www.thecourier.co.uk/output/2...y9137327t0.asp
COWDENBEATH are banking on their outstanding home form—17 goals in their last four matches at Central Park—to see them win through to the last 16 of the Scottish Cup for the first time in 14 years.
4-2 and errrr 3-1 i think to brechin so far this season. Cowdenbeath with something to prove.
Dundee i want to back and i'll try get them in a double on betfair with domething. McQilken and Dobbie starting for Queens worry me a bit but i think Dundee will still have too much for them and the 1.94 price could have been a lot shorter imo.
http://www.eveningtelegraph.co.uk/ou...9135312t0.shtm
Looks like ive already backed the dundee/hearts 2.00 and Dundee/livi 4.30 doubles. I'll leave it as that.
Ayr are gonna miss Stephenson but i still think theyve got enough with Weaver and Wardlaw in the midfield to give St Johnston a game of it. No bet for me but go on the Ayr
Quote:
Saints have injury worries for the game.
Martin Hardie is struggling with a calf niggle plus a throat infection and is “a big, big doubt” according to Owen.
Kevin James is a definite non-starter due to his knee problem and, with three midfield men, Ryan Stevenson, Paul Lawson and Darren Sheridan now away from the club, Saints are particularly light in that department.
They’re hoping, however, that the hold up in the move of Derek McInnes from Millwall will be resolved in time for him to make his Saints debut.
Stevenson, now at Ayr United, won’t be facing Saints tomorrow due to suspension.

Im on Elgin at 2.66 and im feeling good about it. M Johnstone will want to impress the clubs watching him and Adam Nelson will play at some poiint of the game. Its gonna be a tough local derby but im confident on an elgin win.
Ive taken a little of the under 2.5 in the Stirling v ICT game at 2.18. Stirling only have one recognised striker in Colin Cramb and ICT never seem to go goal crazy. Again i could see a 1-0 away win here and the unders is worth a shot on a Scottish FA cup day
thats about me folks. See you on the place your bets threads. Try to get involved even if its just posting up your bets as its pointless signing up and giving yourself a username and then have no interaction with the rest of the forum as thats what slow and spastic people do isnt it?

Re: Scottish Cup: 6/7th Jan
or to quote the daily record (as i dont know if the flu'd players are playing or not)
"County have also been hit by a flu bug with 6 of their squad left bedridden this week..........Leithch (ross manager) is without injured Dowie and adams while bug victims keddie, moore, niven, malin hooks and Gunn"
and thats it. They dont say if theyre playing or not. Can'tt be a good thing no matter. Stranraer have a few flu bugged players too.
lets look at hamilton

Re: Scottish Cup: 6/7th Jan
livi have no probs with hamilton's artificial surface as they train on one every day. Offilong could return but mclaughlin, tunbridge and fleming defo out. I still fancy Livi to nick that one

Was just thinking there, the best type of "fuck off " is the following; You`re playing astro, 5 a side, someone shouts "handball" and the "fuck off" response is fucking class.
