Bradford v Bournemouth
Defenders Richard Edghill and Ben Parker will both return to the Bradford squad.
Full-back Edghill was forced out of the recent home defeat to Brighton with a hip injury and missed last week's reverse at Oldham while Parker, on loan from Leeds, has missed the last two matches due to a hamstring strain.
Fellow loanee, Derby winger Lee Holmes, is still struggling with an ankle injury and is not expected to be included in the squad.
Winger Jermaine Johnson is expected to be recalled to the starting line-up in place of on-loan Tommy Black.
Johnson was dropped to the substitutes' bench last week following a recent dip in form reflected throughout the team.
But Black, drafted in from Crystal Palace in time to make his debut at Oldham, is not fully match fit and endured a difficult start to his stint at Valley Parade, being substituted before half-time.
Bournemouth look likely to be without former England international Darren Anderton.
The veteran midfielder is set to miss his first game since he joined the Cherries after aggravating a groin injury against Carlisle last weekend.
Simon Gillett could therefore be handed a debut after joining from Southampton, and loan deadline-day signing Matthew Connolly from Arsenal will also be in the squad.
Callum Hart and Warren Cummings (both leg) are out, and although Marcus Browning (calf), Shaun Cooper and Eddie Howe (both knee) are back in training they are unlikely to be risked by manager Kevin Bond.
Stephen Cooke is also out with a groin problem and on-loan winger Lionel Ainsworth is nursing a tight hamstring, but Karl Broadhurst could return
Crewe v Chesterfield
Crewe are set to have an unchanged line-up.
Midfielder Tony Grant has been ill this week and may lose his place on the bench, while strikers Luke Varney and Rodney Jack and defender Billy Jones are expected to overcome minor niggles picked up in the 4-0 win at Brentford.
Defenders Darren Moss (hernia) and Julien Baudet (hamstring) and striker Nicky Maynard (hamstring) are back in light training but are not likely to be involved.
Skipper Neil Cox (calf) and midfielder Michael O'Connor are still out for the clash with the Spireites.
Alex assistant boss Neil Baker said: ``Chesterfield have had a similar kind of season to ourselves. They've taken some major scalps in the league cup but then went out to a non-league side in the FA Cup.
``It's consistency but they can certainly say the same about us.''
Chesterfield's leading scorer Caleb Folan is suspended.
The nine-goal striker collected his fifth yellow card of the campaign in last week's home win over Cheltenham and must serve a one-match ban at Gresty Road.
His absence opens the door for either Colin Larkin or Wayne Allison to partner fit-again Paul Shaw up front. Shaw ended an eight-week lay off through injury against the Robins after overcoming knee and foot problems.
Phil Picken (knee ligaments) is in contention to start after building on his substitute appearance against Cheltenham with 90 minutes for the reserves in midweek.
Former club captain Shane Nicholson has agreed a loan deal at League Two promotion hopefuls Lincoln - the club where he began his professional career almost 20 years ago.
Carlisle v Port Vale
Ipswich rookie James Krause is in line to make his Carlisle debut.
The 19-year-old left-sided defender has joined the Cumbrians in a two-month loan deal, but may have settle for a place on the bench despite Peter Murphy and Zigor Aranalde both currently being on four yellow cards this term.
United boss Neil McDonald has received another boost after Stoke winger Kevin Harper agreed to extend his stay for another two months.
Harper has also shrugged off a dead leg and should retain his place in the starting XI as Carlisle seek to further enhance their promotion credentials.
Midfielder Paul Murray remains sidelined with a knee injury and Danny Livesey will again deputise for David Raven (hip) but McDonald has no other injury or suspension concerns.
Port Vale boss Martin Foyle is expected to hand a debut to on-loan defender Clayton Fortune.
The 24-year-old, who had a spell at the club last season, was brought in from Leyton Orient to relieve Vale's limited options at the back.
Foyle told the club's official website: ``We are struggling for defenders at the moment. Jason (Talbot) is out with a broken rib, Colin Miles is on three bookings along with Richard Walker and George Pilkington is on four bookings.
``With so many games coming up I thought it was important we brought somebody in.''
Miles limped off in the last game but he has now returned to full fitness and is expected to line up at Brunton Park.
Doncaster v Brighton
Neil Sullivan will go straight into the Doncaster squad with a view to making his debut.
The Leeds goalkeeper signed on loan in time and manager Sean O'Driscoll must decide whether to stick with 20-year-old Ben Smith or start with the experienced former Scotland international.
Fellow goalkeepers Jan Budtz (groin) and Alan Blayney (elbow) are all unavailable, while Andy Warrington has moved to League Two Bury on loan
Defender Steve Roberts has trained as usual and is expected to play despite sustaining a facial injury in last week's draw at Millwall and James Coppinger should also be available after illness and injury.
O'Driscoll is expected to pick his starting line-up, with few changes if any, from much the same squad after Brian Stock extended his loan deal from Preston for a further month.
But Rovers are hoping international clearance comes through in time for new midfield signing Mark Wilson to be added.
On-loan Brighton striker Dean Bowditch is struggling to be fit.
The Ipswich youngster, who has agreed to extend his loan spell on the south coast by a further month, suffered a groin injury in training earlier this week and is a major doubt.
Rookie midfielder Tommy Fraser should keep his place if Bowditch fails to recover, although new winger Alistair John could be handed an immediate debut following his loan deadline-day switch from Charlton.
Centre-half Georges Santos should be available after an ankle injury and midfielder Richard Carpenter is back in training following a groin tear, although he will be short of match fitness.
Utility-man Gary Hart is making progress following a leg injury but is still some way short of a return, while midfielders Charlie Oatway (ankle) and Paul Reid (knee) remain long-term absentees.
Gillingham v Rotherham
Gillingham manager Ronnie Jepson has a few selection posers to deal with.
Centre-back Leon Johnson is fully fit after the knee problem which led to him being left on the bench in the 3-1 defeat at Bristol City last weekend, but with Brent Sancho, Ben Chorley and Ian Cox also competing for a start at the heart of defence, he may have to settle for a place on the bench again.
Jepson must also decide who plays in attack, with Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu and Dean McDonald waiting in the wings if the much sought-after Matt Jarvis reverts to a role on the wing after starting in attack at Ashton Gate.
Alan Pouton will also be hoping to reclaim his place in midfield, but Jepson has no major injury concerns as his side look for a fourth home win on the spin.
Rotherham are missing midfielders Lee Williamson and Michael Keane.
Williamson broke a toe in the FA Cup first-round defeat against Peterborough while Keane sustained a hamstring injury in the same game.
The pair missed last week's 1-1 draw against leaders Nottingham Forest and remain sidelined.
Club skipper Colin Murdock also missed the Forest game with a hip injury but a scan has revealed no serious problem and he could come back into contention.
Defender Gregor Robertson is fully fit again after a knee injury but long-serving Paul Hurst is expected to retain his place.
Robertson also fell ill with a chest infection earlier this week, which forced him to pull out of a midweek reserve game, but he will be available at Priestfield.
Northampton v Leyton Orient
Jason Crowe is suspended and Chris Doig a major injury doubt ahead for Northampton.
Crowe sits out with a one-match ban after collecting five yellow cards and fellow defender Doig is struggling with an ankle injury and will be assessed before kick-off.
Northern Ireland international James Quinn came off during the FA Cup win at Grimsby with an Achilles problem but should be available, while fellow forward Andy Kirk is expected to return from the ankle injury which sidelined him in midweek.
New loan signing Nick Wright will probably be named on the bench, and midfielder Joe Burnell should shake off a calf injury he suffered at Blundell Park.
Sam Aiston (ankle), Fred Murray (Achilles) and Brett Johnson (hamstring) are still missing.
Luke Guttridge and James Walker are likely to make their Leyton Orient debuts after joining the club on loan from Southend and Charlton respectively.
Midfielder Guttridge made the short trip to Brisbane Road after falling out of favour at Roots Hall, and he is expected to take his place in Martin Ling's starting XI, while striker Walker may have to settle on the bench.
But Ling could be without Donny Barnard and Justin Miller for the trip to Sixfields.
Barnard is struggling with a hamstring problem and is rated doubtful for the clash against John Gorman's team, while fellow defender Miller has a groin injury and is given no more than a 50-50 chance of recovering.
Defender Adam Tann remains unavailable as he is recovering from surgery after being diagnosed with testicular cancer.
Midfielder Michael Simpson (knee) is likely to miss the rest of the season, and young forward Efe Echanomi is still recovering from a broken ankle
Nottm Forest v Millwall
Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood has his fingers crossed strikers Nathan Tyson and Junior Agogo will return to availability.
Calderwood has withdrawn the pair from training this week as a precautionary measure after Agogo complained of a stomach muscle problem while Tyson, who made his comeback this month from medial knee ligament damage, has picked up a minor groin injury.
Should either miss out, fellow frontman Scott Dobie is ready to step into the breach after overcoming long-term hip troubles.
But the Reds chief is confident the duo can play some part against the Lions alongside defender John Curtis, who has also been excused training this week thanks to a groin niggle of his own.
Striker Chris Zebroski will be on the sidelines for Millwall.
The former Plymouth player must serve a one-match ban after picking up his fifth booking of the season in the FA Cup win over Havant & Waterlooville on November 13.
Willie Donachie has little good news on the injury front as he prepares to take charge of his first game since being made Millwall manager permanently earlier this week.
Donachie is still without a number of key players. Defenders Tony Craig (shoulder) and Mark Phillips (appendix) remain absent along with midfielders Jody Morris (knee) and Neal Ardley (hernia) and forward Tom Brighton (ankle).
Donachie could hardly have wished for a tougher debut; the Lions have won away from home just twice this term, and face a Forest team six points clear at the top of the division.
Yeovil v Scunthorpe
Yeovil wait on the fitness of three key players ahead of the top of the table clash.
Talismanic skipper and central defender Terry Skiverton (ankle), utility player Paul Terry (leg) and attacking midfielder Arron Davies (unspecified) are all facing a race to be fit for fifth placed Yeovil.
All three hoped to return to training on Thursday and could figure on Saturday if fit.
The Glovers are still without central defender Scott Guyett, who completes his three-match suspension following Saturday's match, but are boosted by on-loan Southampton centre back Martin Cranie, who debuted in last week's goalless draw at Orient.
And Crainie's Saints team-mate Leon Best is in line to make his debut after completing a loan deal until January 2 on Thursday.
Scunthorpe defender Andy Crosby is expected to be fit.
Crosby was forced out of the midweek FA Cup replay win over Cheltenham with a hamstring strain, but could still make the starting line-up, although Cliff Byrne is on stand-by.
Winger Ian Morris is nursing a knee injury sustained in last week's league win over Northampton and if he fails a late fitness test Robbie Foy will stand in again.
Veteran striker Steve Torpey is still struggling with knee ligament damage, while summer signing Ramon Calliste is continuing his rehabilitation following his fractured ankle dislocation sustained in a pre-season friendly.
Midfielder Jim Goodwin, striker Daniel McBreen and defenders Andy Butler and Lee Ridley are all hoping to play some part after failing to make the starting line-up in recent weeks.
