Can Excel be used to make money?
Hi all, newbie punter here. I've recently joined up with fcukbetstats and been following their tips with a fair bit of success.
As a novice punter and a no hoper in Excel I want to know peoples opinions on betting using stats alone? Can it be a profitable way to go long term? Last edited by slick : 03-09-2011 at 01:22. Reason: indirect spam link. |

Re: Can Excel be used to make money?
The only stats I need are based on family birthdays. My Gran was born on the 2nd of January so I just back 2-1 scoreline every week.
My second method came good last week in the Man United v Arsenal game as she died when she was 82, although I have to say that's the first time it's been successful to be honest. |

Re: Can Excel be used to make money?
thats an interesting question...to which the short answer is yes,of course!!!
however,if you had asked "can you maximise profits with stats alone?",then the short answer would be no,of course not. some important things you should never forget about stats, are: a) some are merely coincidence b) some are irrelevent c) those that are relevent have usually been factored into the prices d)the skill in using stats comes from working out which is which |

Re: Can Excel be used to make money?
I am currently looking for some kind of system to make some profitable bets.
To answer your original question if Excel can be used to make money then my answer is yes. The issue being of course, the results that come out will depend on what you put in for example - 1. What stats you analyse (as hotspur states some are pretty irrelevant) 2. What rules and/or formula you use to calculate betting possibilities If you want anything done in Excel then I will be pleased to help (bit of a wizz!!), modest too!! |
