Hello,
New comer to the site so hoping I can provide some good info for anyone wishing to bet on the scottish leagues. If anybody would like any team info on any of the games then just give me a shout. Every week I will be previewing certain fixtures in the Scottish leagues which I believe are good value bets. This is by no means a tipping service but merely my own opinion and a point of reference where people who like to bet on Scottish football can come and have a read of the previews. Each of the games previewed are my own thoughts on the game and bets that I will be making. I will place small, medium and large with regards to the recommended stake size beside each bet type. Whether or not they turn out to be correct or not is another story but why not have a read and make your own opinion! I'm going to start with just 2 games this week. There are some tough games out there this week but these are 2 of the games that caught my eye. First game that interests me is Ayr United v Falkirk. Having been promoted back to the 1st division many people have tipped Ayr to go straight back down. Given the fact that they are the only part time team in the league, you can understand they will be up against it, however Ayr whilst not having the biggest squad in the league do in my opinion possess enough quality in it, to more than hold their own. They have good experience in their side, supported by talented youngsters and most importantly have players that can score goals. Sommerset park is never an easy place to play and Falkirk will be in for a tough game. Falkirk defeated Partick Thistle in their last game but were perhaps fortunate that Partick didn't take at least a point from the game. Given the current financial climate, Falkirk will be relying heavily on youth and loan players this season and I don't believe they have as good a team as they did last season. Looking at the bets for this game I do think Ayr are over priced at home with some bookmakers such as William Hill who are offering 2/1. I also like the look of 8/15 on the double chance and Ayr +.25 on the Asian handicap. It really is a game I cant see Ayr losing. They have already beaten Queen of the South at home this season and thumped Raith in the cup. They were also unlucky not to have gained at least a point against Hamilton. Bets: Small stake Ayr home win Medium stake on Ayr +.25 Large stake on Ayr or draw Second game I am interested in is Hamilton away to Partick. Hamilton will be looking to bounce straight back up to the SPL after relegation. Billy Reids team will have a tough job on their hands but will no doubt be there challenging for honours at the end of the season. They have started the season well and whilst the scoreline maybe didn't reflect the whole picture of the game, scoring 5 goals at home to Ross County is still a job well done. The buzz that was initially around Firhill before the season started is slowly fading away. Jackie Macnamara has a tough job on his hands it seems to be the same old story for Partick at the moment. Having already lost to Hamilton in the cup albeit by a last minute penalty they just didn't seem to really threaten the Hamilton rear guard. Particks early season stats don't read well, they have lost their last four games on the trot. Hamilton on the other hand have won their last four. That's good enough for me and at 7/5 with Bet365 I will be having some of that. I will also be having a bit of the 21/20 on offer for Hamilton - .25 on the handicap, again with Bet365. Bets: Large stake on Away win Medium stake on Hamilton -.25 Happy punting! |
