Help with finding British punters for a scientific study

We are two Swedish academic researchers conducting a scientific study of how bettors assess bets with fixed odds. In this study we will compare British and Swedish punters in regard to their ability of converting odds into probabilities. This study is part of a research project on gambling behavior funded by the Swedish Research Council.

For the study we need to have some 30 individuals from the United Kingdom who frequently bet money on fixed odds. The task of the participant is to simply respond to a short web-based questionnaire. It takes roughly 10 minutes to answer this questionnaire. Each individual who returns complete responses will be awarded with a voucher of the value of £5 from Amazon.co.uk. All responses to the questionnaire are anonymous and will be confidentially treated. Please note that the purpose of our study is purely scientific.

Hello Patric & Hakan, you are wasting your time with that survey, in Britain the English don't bet really apart from maybe 50p each way in the National, contrary to popular belief its the English that are tightfisted and therefore are too mean to bet, its the Scots that are the big punters. The big punters in England actually are the Irish, Paddy is not afraid to have a bet! for example if you banned all the Irish from Cheltenham, we all know then that there would be no Cheltenham! any Englishman who is a big punter, only bets because he more than likely has Irish roots, father, grandmother, etc.
oh sure they will all fill out that survey and say how they are betting big, simply ask them all to send you a copy of the statement from their betting accounts, then you will have your answers.

you know,even though I am english and a big hitter,I have to say that you may be right.

as someone who tries to encourage people to bet on antepost markets I am shocked,truly shocked,at how SCARED!most people are to have even a tiny bet(then again I dont know for sure if thats just english people,natch.

funnily enough I have found that women are more likely to have a punt(but thats probably cos men dont wanna be told what to do?).

I have done the survey and can say that it takes a lot more than 10 mins. if,like me ,you hate decimal odds!!!
