Re: Welsh Premier League 27th/28th Nov
TNS + Llaneli + Bangor + Rhyl
Llanelli should win this one. Aberstwyth is in a 5 games winning row, while playing against weaker sides. They haven't met any of best league teams and that;s the reason they received only 12 goals so far. Bangor on the contrary has all the toughest games behind them and must take advantage of next easier schedule to cement their place in upper part of table. Rhyl also should back on tracks with victory since they failed to win in 4 of last played games. Obviously that Naeth can't cope with number of absentes, but I'll follow them if their medical report look better. |

Re: Welsh Premier League 27th/28th Nov
hi charly , I'm in agreement with you about your four selections but I have more confidence than you in Neath , I don't think much of Prestatyn after seeing them against Port , here is my take on that match.
Neath [4th]v Prestatyn [6th] Two sides that are separated by only one point. Neath had a poor start to the season , whilst Prestatyn had a good start. Neath were on a run of 6 consecutive win until they met TNS at the end of last month when they were held to a draw. Last week Neath were held again to an away draw at Welshpool. The condition of the pitch was poor. From the tv highlights Neath missed quite a few chances and had a goal disallowed Neath have not lost at home and have beaten fellow title contenders Rhyl and Llanelli. Prestatyn struggled away last season but in the early months of this season they achieved three away wins. In October and November their away form has not ben good with a draw and two defeats. I watched Prestatyn lose on the 14:11:09 at Porthmadog. It was Port's first win and they outplayed Prestatyn. On that day Prestatyn did not look like 5th place side and I can't see them continuing to challenge the top teams. I think that Neath at home are a much better side than Prestatyn away my bet Neath @ 1.8 with Coral |

Re: Welsh Premier League 27th/28th Nov
Bangor [11th] v Connah's Quay [16th]
Bangor have not shown much this year , they did win 4-0 at home to Prestatyn at the end of last month . They are better than their form suggests , their home record is W2 D0 L3 .They lost 2-1 at Port Talbot last week. Connah's Quay have lost their last 4 league games .They lost 3-0 at home to Port Talbot the week before Port Talbot beat Bangor. Newtown [12th] v Port Talbot [5th] With Port Talbot being a major feature of the previous preview and with their 4 consecutive league wins , their away record is W4 D1 L2 , I'm going to include them in a double. my bet is Bangor / Port Talbot double |

Re: Welsh Premier League 27th/28th Nov
it's obvious that TNS will win today. with the exception of Tommy Holmes, the Saints have no injury concerns with Aeron Edwards and Craig Jones both fit. the team has to defend a clean sheet of 626 minutes, so I think that they will not concede tonight. do you think that they are in the mood to score at least 4? or will they will stop after 2-3 goals? I saw that will not rain tonight, only tomorrow, so the pitch should be ok for a nice game. I have 1.85 for 4+ goals and seems to me that is a fair price... please tell me what do you think. thanks!

Re: Welsh Premier League 27th/28th Nov
Betting on number of goals is always a lottery...you must decide by yourself.
I think that @ 1.85 for over 3,5 is not great - but it's possible...no high stakes of course. @ traeth, looks like Llanelli has some serious problem with missing players tonight. Better to skip home win? |

Re: Welsh Premier League 27th/28th Nov
last night's results
Llanelli 4-0 Aberystwyth The New Saints 4-0 Caersws Bangor City 0-0 Connah's Quay ![]() Cefn Druids 0-1 Welshpool The game between Newtown and Port Talbot was called-off on Saturday morning after heavy overnight rain this preview from welsh-premier site Saturday 28 November 2009 PAUL Smith is set to return in place of the injured Marc Connolly as Rhyl bid to rejoin Llanelli and The New Saints at the top of the table. Connolly, whose injury is not as bad as first feared, will be out for three weeks, but former Chester City midfielder Smith is back in contention to face Haverfordwest County after missing the 4-0 defeat at TNS with illness. "Of course we’ll miss him (Connolly) but we’ve got to dust ourselves down and get on with the job of producing the consistent form that will take us back to the head of the table,” player-boss Greg Strong told the Daily Post. "All top teams take a beating at some time or other and it’s up to us to accept what’s happened and move forward." Neath are hot on the heels of the leaders despite a 0-0 draw at Welshpool a week ago as they host sixth-place Prestatyn Town. "This is a big one for us, but all games are going to be big. But we need to be more clinical as, no disrespect to Welshpool, we should have beaten them," says Neath boss Andy Dyer. The Eagles are without suspended defender Sean Cronin who was sent-off again in the Wales semi-pros 2-2 draw in Portadown in midweek, but striker Craig Stein and defender Liam Hancock both return from bans. Marc Lloyd Williams is set to make his 400th Welsh Premier appearance when Airbus visit one of his former clubs Porthmadog. "Jiws will pose a particular threat and we must keep a close eye on him obviously, but there are other players who could cause us problems as well," says Traeth chief Tomi Morgan. "Airbus have restructured this season and are a strong side, who will make life difficult for us, but we have acquired a new confidence in the last few weeks." Experienced duo Danny Jellicoe and Ricky Evans both miss Bala's home game against Carmarthen Town through suspension. The Lakesiders are seeking their first win in eight league outings and manager Colin Caton believes his players can turn performances into points. "We’re playing well, and the big plus is that we‘re not conceding many goals," he said. "We‘ve not been overawed in the games but what has cost us is that we’ve not taken our chances. "We‘re only half way through the season, and I‘ll be looking at bringing in a new striker in the New Year." Old Gold manager Deryn Brace knows his side face a stiff challenge at Maes Tegid: "We face a massive task at Bala as only Rhyl have won there this season," he says. "There appears to a worrying lack of will to win among some of my players. I want players who want to win week in, week out. If they don't, they will be on the outside rather than the inside." Dyfan Pierce misses out with a hip injury, but striker Craig Hughes is set to return from his long absence |
