re: 10th-13th Jan 09 - Scottish League & Cup
heh he heh welcome to my world. This week folks i am going to take you all on a fantastic voyage across the hills and glens of scottish football betting aided and abeited by everyone one of you. Lets get our tips out chaps. lets see some new faces and some old. Lets look at these games and between us discuss it like grown men. ooops i just peed my pants.
Righty right. Lets start from...the bottom. bah still only skybet odds at oddschecker. Nothing at bet365. I know this might sound a little paranoid or self delusional but i dont like to talk about my bets till i can see some prices up and maybe nab some early ones for myself where i can. i need to wait till the bookies follow suit. Div 3 looks interesting in a pretty boring way. teams like montrose will have lost some of their loan players from better clubs. suppose its all to do with whats been going on. Raith will be popular. Maybe them being at Stirling will be better for them. Raith seem to be only improving. i will do my usual 'stirling can get a draw against anyone line' the now just to get it out the way. I could still be interested in them. I don't mind ICT or Partick in the Scottish cup but if i was to get a slightly better price on Partick i might be interested. Spacecat might be able to tell me a bit better though. Not something i could back with...hold on a sec i do feel quite confident about them at the price. is this madness. No i dont think so. I dont think there should be too much between the too based on my offcial ratings (they live in my head under another name no doubt) Forfar home to forress looks interesting to me Ruswsell could have left forfar but surely they are more than just him. i glamorise russell a bit but in reality he aint been banging them in for over a month. he has been a great loan signing though. laying on goals and hitting crossbars all the while. Queen of the South would have to improve to emulate their remarkable cup run of last season. injuries aint helped them but thats not the only reason why they havent won any games for about 2 months. usually i would be interested but i cant see how i can be. I am supposed to be going to the Ayr kilmarnock game with my stepdad, brother in law, nephew and brother and the only real thing stopping me is ticket availabity etc. i better go check to see if its all ticket which it could well be. Should be aone heck of a gem. could i predict a winner? I can't. I suppose Killie to win could be backed but in the same breath i could say Ayr. nah my head says Killie and even my heart does but in truth i would love to see Ayr winning but i think Kilmarnock have got the beating of US (fair weather fan )Hmmmmm East fife at Stenhousemuir. Interesting game. I have a feeling that for all my stenhousemuir shouting the past week i would have to still be interested in East fife away from home. both these clubs have had some dysmal cup performances the last few years and its a game well worth looking into. Hamilton wont enjoy their trip to Ross County and if i did the pools i might have an x on this one. Peterhead have met Queen's park often enough this season. No Mcvitee for Peterhead last weerk was enough to put me off taking them when Quiees Park beat them at Hampden. Plenty enough to look at in this one. I took Airdrie ht/ft last time at home in the cup v Cove i belive. I dont know if i fancy the same bet in this one though. Anyhow folks what you all thinking about when you look at these fixtures? |

re: 10th-13th Jan 09 - Scottish League & Cup
Oddschecker are a biot slow on the Scottish Cup this week. Still there's a few odds about for div three. I have to be interested in albion at 15/8 even though i have a certain amounbt of respect for Annan at the mo. Its no guarantee that i will back Albion but Skybet's price certainly pricks the old ears up.
Annan Athletic v Albion Rovers 30-8-08 Annan Athletic Football Club Albion Rovers v Annan Athletic 15-11-08 Annan Athletic Football Club nothing there to enthuse me. I'm still thinking that 15/8 is still too big for an albion side who could beat anyone on the road. Annan seem to have been put to the sword a bit by the leagues better teams at home this season. With gilfilan playing and Annan possibly being in the best shape theyve been this season leaves me with a little doubt. truth be trold i think i have to take Albion at 15/8. I would make them at least 6/4 for this. Theyve got no bus running due to lack of interest last time. the players will be out there almost alone. I belive annan have been one of the best supported clubs in this league this season. Need to check that. I dont know if it could be described as playing in the lions den but it doesnt make me feel any better about albion. suppose its got a draw written all over it to me. I wont be going too heavy on them. Need to check out their loan signs. i suppose that would be the most important thing about now. Albion have the most players in on loan. 7 in total from higher league teams. |

re: 10th-13th Jan 09 - Scottish League & Cup
Sounds like the albion fans are happy that harris got a game in a return from injury
Albion Rovers Message Board also i note that Anan have got 10pts from their last 5 games. I still aint excited about albion here but i think i still have to back them at 15/8. I see Kieran McAnespie has went to Dumbarton. I know his dad and brother well and he should still have too much class for this league. an excellent signing all in i think. The Pie Shop > Sons Sign............ Not much on p&b on loan signings etc. we'll find it out no doubt. Just gonna have a look at the latest scottish Cup odds Brechin City - Saint Mirren Sat 10-01-2009 - 16:00 8 5.00 3.60 1.67 Falkirk - Queen of South Sat 10-01-2009 - 16:00 8 1.55 4.00 6.00 Peterhead - Queens Park Sat 10-01-2009 - 16:00 8 1.75 3.75 4.80 Stenhousemuir - East Fife Sat 10-01-2009 - 16:00 8 3.05 3.50 2.30 Airdrie United - Spartans Edinburgh Sat 10-01-2009 - 16:00 8 1.33 5.50 8.00 Ayr United - Kilmarnock FC Sat 10-01-2009 - 16:00 8 4.60 3.60 1.80 Inverness Caledonian Thisle - Partick Thistle Sat 10-01-2009 - 16:00 8 1.73 3.60 4.60 Inverurie Loco Works - Motherwell FC Sat 10-01-2009 - 16:00 8 12.00 6.00 1.25 Ross Country - Hamilton Academical Sat 10-01-2009 - 16:00 8 3.25 3.50 2.10 Alloa Athletic - Aberdeen FC Sat 10-01-2009 - 16:00 8 8.00 5.00 1.33 Dunfermline Athletic - Clyde Sat 10-01-2009 - 16:00 8 1.73 3.60 4.80 Forfar Athletic - Forres Mechanics Sat 10-01-2009 - 16:00 8 1.57 4.00 7.00 Celtic Glasgow - Dundee FC Sat 10-01-2009 - 16:00 8 1.17 7.50 15.00 Hibernian Edinburgh - Heart of Midlothian Sun 11-01-2009 - 13:15 8 2.40 3.30 2.88 East Stirling - Dundee United Sun 11-01-2009 - 16:00 8 10.00 5.50 1.30 |

re: 10th-13th Jan 09 - Scottish League & Cup
k lets get this done proper. I have to pick a winning line this week. Its that simple. It will be the differance between sitting in smoking and eating and not this week. I wont go on but as i say its quite simple for me. a winner at all costs.
Cowdenbeath fans are happy with Brown coming back The Blue Brazil On-Line Never really hit the heights for Alloa this season. A lot to do with his injury etc. his return has to be a boost though Quote:
With Dumbarton getting McAnespie it should be a craccker this weekend. I can see it being a 1-1 draw myself and definetly not a game to get involved in. the game could be an indication on who's gonna win the league Forfar game probably gonna be off but i think im gonna take the 8/13 on them at Skybet looner than later as Coral's 2/5 on them might be about right to me Quote:
Looking at the odds now i can make a quick short list Albion Rovers 15/8 skybet Forfar 8/13 Skybet (these 2 at skybet has become a theme with me lately. It almost seems too easy now) Kilmarnock 4/5 with Hills fcuk thats an interesting price. Maybe im feeling influenced by seeing ayr pumped by Killie every time ive seen this tie but i would make Kille 8/11 or similar. Aye i have to be on that. Fcuk someone talk to me about it here as i thinbk i am being influenced. Shit i can't see me being talked out of it. It's gonna be a great game and Ayr are gonna be tough. the tickets sold out within an hour of going on sale and Somerset park will be a cauldron. 5/5 though. Shit suddenly my ayr loyalties are gone and i would rather shout on Killie at 4/5. this is terrible. Im a slut. I dont care about anything. I am getting quite excited by the 4/5 truth be told and i actually dont mind being a turncoat. It's actually quite scary. When i need winners the most the game that i am looking at doing all my dough on is Ayr v Kilmarnock in the scottish cup. I can hardly take this in. this is gonna be the scariest day of my betting life for a long time. this could be a pivitol point in my life. thgis could be the beginning of some misplaced Ayrshire hatred which will have reaching effects in the rest of my life. the day ayr met killie inthe cup ![]() Dundee ar 16/1 to be winning at half time with William Hill. I'll have an interest on that. to me teams like dundee winning at half time at celtic pk only to not win happens more times that 16/1. I have to have a bet on that. Clyde at Dunfermline has to be looked at. Who was on Clyde in that 4-4 draw? Same terms etc makes Clyde at 19/5 with William Hill again has to be considered. Dunfermline blow hot and cold and clyde have to the form team in div one. Was Bayne missing for dunfermline last week? lets go see p&b (thats my catchphrase) The Pie Shop > Dunfermline 4 - 4 Clyde |

Re: 10th-13th Jan 09 - Scottish League & Cup
Ive just heard on the radio that the racing is off today and also tomorrow. This aint gonna happen is it? This is not gonna be the way to get me out of jail. I have to meet someone tomorrow at tea time & i will have money then and thats when i need to get on. I need to be prepared for tomorrow irrespective of whats gonna happen on saturday morning. If i have to walk into town on Sunday to pick up my postponed bets then thats fine as i can use it to get a bit of shopping at Tesco. Right lets see whats going on in the UK High Streets
Kilmarnock i will need to look at but truth be told how can you look at this one? shiiit i forgot about Ayr's decent record in cups v killie lately. I went to a domino night the other night and got roped into playing for the team as they where men short. Ive played about 4 games of dominons in my life but just narrowly lost my singles 4-3. Anyhow all the talk was of Ayr's recent wins. Lets go see Killies record down at somerset pk but again stats are gonna mean sod all on saturday i think. (i need to sort out the scottish menus here) i need h2h's at my fingertipips.....Dialy links>>>soccerbase 2001/2002 Scottish League Cup Ayr United 0-0 Kilmarnock 09-10-2001 1998/1999 Scottish FA Cup Ayr United 3-0 Kilmarnock 23-01-1999 1997/1998 Scottish FA Cup Ayr United 2-0 Kilmarnock 14-02-1998 Not good i trust that you'll agree and it just highlights how little these 2 Ayrshire rivals have met lately. thats not just Killie's last 3 away at Ayr but the last 3 times the teams met. It should be almost impossible to predict this one and i wish Hills Had followed suit and went about 8/11 on Killie and i would just enjoy it and be shouting on ayr but call me irrational and maybe even irresponsible but i still cant get myself away from the 4/5 in Hills. Bah im taken hook line and sinker. there is no way i can avoid backing Kilmarnock. Hold on a sec....maybe i just DON'T back kilmarnock and look elsewhere? Hills go 10/11 on Raith. If they went even money i might have just thrown a kilmarnock/raith double together. A mugs unthinking double. shit this is scarey. Its like playing poker with only enough for about 3 buy-ins. I'm playing it scared and i'll be folding the best hand no doubt. I will have a look at Raith more as i could take the even money on them yet. Not something at the mo that i would be having on my main line. actually ive only got one move this week. all-in. Albion Rovers i am gonna go look at as much as i can as Bet365 go 9/5 on them now and their the only online bookmaker i have funds with at the mo. Its almost a no brainer to me though. I think i have to be on them. I feel quite good though about putting all my bet365 money on them at the price though. there could be one or two players coming in or out of both clubs for the weekend if the rumours are to be believed. Bah i forgot that i fear the 1-1 in this one now. I think i need to play it a bit safer poss. Bah draw and Albion Rovers is 4/7. That aint the kind of price i like to bet at. Ive got so much to sort out here. im all over the place. is albion a good bet or not komp? I like them at the price but i really do belive that the game is gonna end 1-1 and how can i bet a team at a nice price when i think that even though the price is nice they aint gonna win? aye i'll feel great knowing i knew it would finish 1-1 as i sit looking at a £0.00 balance in bet365 Bet365 go 9/4 on Dumbarton. A little big i think poss. How have Dumbarton done at Cowdenbeath this season? I wonder how Cowdenbetah's tight pitch would suit the width Dumbarton would like to play with Carcary. They havent played there. I would be mad to get involved in this and even madder to start bleeding off all my money on speculative 1-1 correct score betting. fcuk i could take the Annan, Cowdenbeath and Stirling games all to finish 1-1. Maybe i shouldnt get too involved in any of these games. aye i probably wont. easy life. East Fife i couldnt back and Ross county likewise. Rats its all draws draws draws to me. I cant get on forfar at skybet. I dont even know if Johnny russell is staying on or not. I would probably take them -1 if he aint. Templeman from East Fife has supposedly signed for forfar. Smith's loan deal has finished and he's went back to....Hearts? Top scorer for Raith too wasnt he? I wouldnt be suprised if Raith didnt win. They are playign well and Stirling have been rocky especially at home from what i can gather. I should be interestd in Raith and i could kick myself for missing them but i still just have too many fears and doubts in them at Even money. 2006/2007 Scottish Division 1 play-off Stirling Albion 3-1 Raith Rovers 05-05-2007 Scottish Division 2 Stirling Albion 0-1 Raith Rovers 13-01-2007 Scottish Division 2 Stirling Albion 1-1 Raith Rovers 03-09-2006 2005/2006 Scottish Division 2 Stirling Albion 2-2 Raith Rovers 11-03-2006 Scottish Division 2 Stirling Albion 1-0 Raith Rovers 29-10-2005 2000/2001 Scottish FA Cup Stirling Albion 2-0 Raith Rovers 27-01-2001 Again i can see it ending a 1-1 draw. Maybe 1-1 draw's just sums up how i feel at the mo. sod it ive taken this to qwell myself a bit over these games. I think this is as involved as i can 1 Draw 1-1 @ 6/1 Annan 2 Draw 1-1 @ 6/1 Cowdenbeath 3 Draw 1-1 @ 6/1 Stirling Multiple Bets 4 x 1pt Trixie I'm just pissing in the wind here. i dont understand my predicament. I have enough money to live till monday and no return = selling my arse in William Hill toilets. Maybe this week aint the best week to try and get some money in. Im gonna wait and see what transpires from now till saturday. |

Remember many moons back you where going to do a live streak on tv - wasn't it this game ![]() Scottish Cup is always a bummer in the early rounds but I fancied Hearts to get a result against Hibs until Motherwell beat them last night.... will have a look to see if they rested players Partick must be worth a couple of quid - aint they ? ICT are in a right state of affairs.... granted they should have scored a couple against Rangers but the finishing was pathetic. Lads go 3's but Sky 4's I like Raith at Evens - thought they'd be odds on |

Re: 10th-13th Jan 09 - Scottish League & Cup
Nah it was Ayr v ICT Kegman. ICT won 2-0 i think.
www.soccerbase.com - The Internet Soccer Database Aye that sounds so long ago. I think Killie will be just too good for them. Bet paying at bet365 i see broms. Only one i would worry about myself would be St mirren. I would still rather take Killie at the price than them myself. I can't see me getting too involved this week in all honesty. a league program would have suited me better. |

Re: 10th-13th Jan 09 - Scottish League & Cup
i fancy 2 teams this weekend.......i think albion can beat annan at a nice price.....i see you fancy them too komp.....
they are no good things but they are def capable of beating annan.....ive no doubt at all about that......at 15-8 with sky bet albion must be worth a punt me thinks.......sporting bet are going 1-1 albion draw no bet.....thats value as well......ive done both..... |

Re: 10th-13th Jan 09 - Scottish League & Cup
the banker bet of the weekend is dundee utd to crush east stirling......this should be very easy......dundee utd will score a hat full of goals here......i reckon they will get anywhere between 4 and 6........maybe more if they dont take the foot off the gas......and i cant see east stirling scoring.....i made lots of cash last season when rangers played east stirling in the cup......rangers played a very weak team and still won 5-0........the gulf in class between the s.p.l and div3 is huge......ive done my bets to get the best prices.....as the prices i got will be gone very soon.....sky bet has made a mistake in this game....a big mistake.....ill tell you about it in my next post......
|
|
|||
|
Re: 10th-13th Jan 09 - Scottish League & Cup
sky bet go 5-2 on dundee utd to score 4 goals or more.....BUT GO 11-2 ON DUNDEE UTD TO SCORE 4 OR MORE UNDER TEAM TOTAL.GOALS.......
I COULDNT BELIEVE IT WHEN I SEEN IT EARLIER.....that is a mistake.....somebody has fcuked up...... i wonder how long it will take them to catch on......i took the price...so if i win they better pay out ![]() |
|
|||
|
Re: 10th-13th Jan 09 - Scottish League & Cup
sporting bet go 5-6 on dundee utd minus 1 goal......aye just minus 1 goal......
that is nailed on.....if there was ever a banker bet this is it.......the shire have been playing terrible in their last couple of games.....ever since they lost their good goal keeper they have hit bad form.....between the sticks this weekend will be a 17 year old kid making his debut.....he will be in for a very busy day......im sure of that..... |

Re: 10th-13th Jan 09 - Scottish League & Cup
my bets are.....
dundee utd to score 4 or more under team total goals.....sky bet....at 11-2........single bet....rating 5....its worth a good punt that.......the bet has a good chance of winning....... dundee utd minus 1 goal at 5-6.....sporting bet.....my nap.....single bet..... rating 10.......this is nailed on....easy..... albion to win at 15-8.....sky bet.....single bet......rating 5...... albion draw no bet 1-1... dundee utd minus 1 goal 5-6......a double.....sporting bet.....rating 8....... albion 15-8.....dundee utd 4 or more goals 11-2......a double....sky bet..... thats about me for this weekend.....5 bets total......ive went big this weekend......im already ![]() |
