BBC Alba to cover Challenge Cup

The channel will not be available on Freeview before 2010
The ALBA Challenge Cup semi-final tie between Partick Thistle and Airdrie at Firhill will be broadcast live on the BBC's new Gaelic television channel.

The match kicks off at 1500BST on 12 October with the other semi-final at Victoria Park, where Morton face Ross County, starting at the same time.

The Gaelic channel, called BBC Alba, launches on Friday at 2100.

It will be available on Sky and Freesat, with a Freeview launch expected after a review in 2010.

Re: SFL Challenge Cup - Sun 12th

10/11 is the best im seeing for ross inver. truth be told i think i could make cases for all the teams bar Partick. actually even then i think airdrie will be missing a few. Morton to put their league form behind them? ross where in the final of this last year werent they? Nah from where im sitting i can't see a solid bet to be had and i will just leave it

Morton have been excellent in the cups this season, having beaten Queen Of The South 2-0 in the last round, but their league form has been pretty abysmal.

Davie Irons' side go into today's game having failed to win any of their ten Scottish First Division matches and lost 3-0 at Ross last week.

County have started to adjust to life at a higher level after winning promotion last season and should be backed at 10-11 to book their place in the final.

Re: SFL Challenge Cup - Sun 12th

that was nice then Iron but we dont like folk after eventing

saying you had £150 notes on them after asking if anybody knew where to get evens or better doesn't make good reading

if everybody done this then it wouldn't be a good place
