JJB Irish Premier sat 11th oct
15:00 - Ballymena v Linfield 6.00 3.75 1.44
15:00 - Cliftonville v Bangor 1.61 3.50 4.50 15:00 - Dungannon Swifts v Glenavon 2.30 3.30 2.60 15:00 Glentoran v Institute 1.40 3.75 7.00 15:00 - Lisburn Distillery v Coleraine 2.20 3.30 2.75 Early prices Wm Hill Looking at the matches i suggest a Linfield / Glentoran double returning 2.01 as a nailed on banker Ballymena are playing poorly last week i watched them against Coleraine who never got out of bottom gear until they [coleraine] went a goal down and had a player sent off. This was in the last 15 mins and C'raine stepped up a gear and it was a seige of the away goalarea which resulted on a equaliser and both post and crossbar comming to B'mena's rescue. Linfield on tue night were taken to the cleaners by Derry who won easily 3-0 they will want to step up their performance on this result and B'mena could suffer the backlash. Glentoran at home to 'Stute and in fine form beating St Pat's midweek to get to the Semi's of the Setanta all Ireland cup should have little trouble getting a home win. Cliftonville just cannot get going this season here they should be too strong for Bangor ,who are in great form but have injury and suspensions this week and they have not the backup. Dungannon managerless meet near neighbours G'avon who will win ? anybodys guess i will sit on the fence and predict a draw. Coleraine v Distillery is also a tight one to call the white's with home advantage have not been sparkling of late. C'raine had a dour struggle last week with B'mena and will enjoy the open spaces at Lisburn. Could we have another draw perhaps. ## BANKER DOUBLE : Linfield '@ 1.50 / Glentoran 1.40 = 2.10 return with www.toals.co.uk. ## |

Re: JJB Irish Premier sat 11th oct
Must have been a serious bad hair day for you Finn, when you found yourself having to endure 90 minutes of Coleraine-Ballymena.
The Ballymena manager said only two weeks ago that his teams defending was worse than a pub side, slightly tongue in cheek, but not that far from reality, if the truth be told. I take your point about the Derry match Finn. The "Candy Stripes" were really up for that game and as Linfield realistically needed to go for the win, the heart went out of their game when they went behind in the first half. Talking of a backlash, I think there's one in the offing here. So I will suggest Linfield HT-FT @ evens against Ballymena and I mean LUMP ON!!! Linfield are head and shoulders above the Butcher, The Quaker and Soda bread maker outfit of Ballymena. Linfield manager David Jeffries was doing an impersonation of as Tasmania Devil on the touchline at Brandywell on Monday night and he will be looking for blood today to expell the memories of his teams inept effort. Linfield are an incredible 4/9 to win the game (has to be bet of the day anywhere) . If any AH were available, then I would be going in -2 on Linfield. Good Luck. |

Re: JJB Irish Premier sat 11th oct
Ballymena 2 Linfield 0
![]() This post from a Linfield supporter on the Irish league forum sums up this result " Our manager is a total buffoon who is an egotist in the extreme.. his pompous chest beating trek to the dugout was a joke. Unfortunately, there are one or two in our support who are so far up his hole that their voices tend to be the only one heard. Bottom line is this - he has done brilliantly for us in the main, but is either too pig headed to listen, or too bloody blind to read the signs. Ferguson, Bailie, Spike, McAreavey, Dougie have done their bit - let them leave with grace Curran is pants John Martin, Stuart Addis, are not Linfield class. Today could have happened against the Crues twice. The Glens and Derry have trounced us. Even our last glory day was a fluke, against Coleraine in the cup final. Cracks papered over are now appearing |
