Good man slick. I was just thinking about the clyde game. Actually clyde are better away from home. Be interesting to see how they have performed on plastic this season (at hamilton) I prefer them away from home and could be interested. Need to see the best prices etc though.

Airdrie v Raith games have been tight this season from memory. One thing i know i wont be backing Raith at home and the draw could well be the call.

Im sure there's been a few dour draws between stranraer and montroseThiss season. Iremeber montrose winning at stranraer but stranraer bossing the whole game. Aye lots to look at.

anyone got anything they fancy from the off?

oh and i could like cowdenbeath

Airdrie a standout 15/8 with Bet365 i see Spaceca. Aye very nice. Need to look at games between the 2 but i would agree that anything above 6/4 could be value. I would take Raith on at home v anyone and im sure airdie might well had the better of the games there this season.

I was right in thinking Cowdenbetah went to Arbroath in the cup. Just gonna go read this-
The Pie Shop > Arbroath V Cowden

Was really surprised by the lack of footballing ability from Arbroath, I expected a tougher game. Unfortunately from an Arbroath perspective we could still be playing and the result would still be the same. I lost count the number of times they punted the long ball straight out of the park in the first half. We had a handful of other chances with Pat Clark shooting narrowly wide twice and McConalogue hitting the bar from 20 yards with a spectacular volley. Certainly the sharp passing movement of our players caused them problems all game.

Thought Cowden never really got out of first gear for the main part of the game and the sheer physical nature (and that's being kind) of the Arbroath play spoiled what could've been a much better game. Paul Tosh, for an experienced pro - tut tut, red card for raising your hands all over a free-kick which you were awarded.

The start of the 2nd half saw McGlashan's tactics completely obvious - if you can't get the ball, kick the shit out of anyone else who has it then confront the referee. It certainly worked as 3 of our 4 yellow cards were for players standing up to over zealous tackles (one which could've ended up with one of our players seriously injured).
Cowdenbeath are a tasty 7/4 with Betfred. William Hill have it right imo making Cowdenbeath 13/10 favourites for the game. aye i like things so far

I think i will be on it sooner than later as its value for sure. Maybe time to take Betfred up with their offer-

Betfred is offering new online and call centre betting customers free bets up to £100!

To get your first free bet of up to £50, all you need to do is open an account, place your first bet of £5 or more and we’ll give you a free bet to the same value, up to a maximum of £50.

To get your second bet of £50, you must place five more bets, each with a stake of £10 or more and we will then give you another £50 free bet!

Re: 30th April: Scottish League Play-Offs

Arbroath have been poor at home all season. Be great if team news aint improved for them and Cowdenbeath have a semblance of their best team who could go anywhere and get a reult. Aye i like it a lot. there wont be much putting me off Cowdenbetah getting a reult at the betfred price i think. I have been backing lesser 3rd div teams to get results at Arbroath (east stirling 11/2 a few weeks ago) and thats why i will happily take a cowdenebath side that when theyve got a full team an give anyone a game. they know how to score goals at least. well they did before Pat clarke went. Need to see how theyve been doing since. I'd be intrested in how Edin views this one as to tel you the truth i really just dont rate Arbroath at home this season as their results and performances will back up. aye they will and should raisae their game a bit for this but i think even the most staunchest of Arbroath fan's would admit that Betfred are quite a bit out of line on this one.

Moving on to the Raith game while im here--

Raith Rovers Airdrie United 1:0 2.57 3.46 2.29 Sat 15-03-2008
Airdrie United Raith Rovers 3:0 2.28 3.41 2.61 Sat 02-02-2008
Raith Rovers Airdrie United 2:1 1.90 3.43 3.37 Sat 20-10-2007
Airdrie United Raith Rovers 0:1 2.25 3.36 2.67 Sat 04-08-2007

Thats a worry. Raith never done much winning at home this season. 2 close looking games from looking at hat. I'll go et the p&b threads on them as they should have plenty of info on them.

mmm pretty surprised at 2/1 for Airdrie - i couldn't have them at that. Bit worried about backing them due to being happy with draw and get them back to their place.

Re: 30th April: Scottish League Play-Offs

between the two teams itll be raith who will approach it tentatively, theyll play right into airdries hands imo. ill start my proper post tomorrow, loads on the go just now.

if 2/1 was available milners id be on it now, im going to back them on betfair probably no matter what price they have for them.

Re: 30th April: Scottish League Play-Offs

I think theyve got a better chance away at Raith than at home myself Milners. Away goals come into play in this? they do too. aye drawwould be the worry but i would still rate their chances in light of Raith's home form as being nearer 6/4

Re: 30th April: Scottish League Play-Offs

Theyre 4/7 Airdrie and Draw, Cowdenbeath are 4/9 for the same bet.

Combined odds of just over 5/4 on paddypower.com. I think that bet has an excellent chance

Re: 30th April: Scottish League Play-Offs

Truth be told Spacecat im liking them both to win at attractive prices and i don't feel like hedging my bets on either. Need to look more though but as it stands i like the straight wins at the odds

Re: 30th April: Scottish League Play-Offs

I wouldn't read too much into the report for the cup game between us an Cowden. We were crap that day and had 10 men for about an hour IIRC.

Not only that, but the Cowden team since that game have lost many players, including their 2 main men of that match, David Hannah and Pat Clark.

When it comes to our home record, it's only really poor when we've played the bottom of the league (only 9 points from 24 against the bottom 4) and East Fife. If you took our home results against the sides we were more directly competing against for the playoffs (Stranraer, Montrose, Stenny, Elgin) we've played 8 won 4 drawn 4 lost 0

I reckon there will be 1 goal in the game at most, going by recent goalscoring records for each side. With us likely to be at full strength on Wednesday, I fancy us to get it.

Re: 30th April: Scottish League Play-Offs

He's probably away somewhere, wrongly tipping unsuspecting punters.

Does he often tip against us? Because he always seems to have money on us which is why I personally blame him for every defeat we incur.
