Re: 26th April Scots 1-2-3

I see Dumbarton have Keegan from Partick. I thought he was ok but Partick fans dont agree. No bet for me in that one. Donachie will be a loss for Forfar.

Im worried about Queens Park now too Spacevat. Thats 4 of their top players. The smae names that end up injured every wee but certainly a big loss. need to read more but i couldnt touch them with that in mind.

i'll need top have a good look at the stranraer game. interested n the stranraer team and also the previous matches. Im trying to remember if stranraer have been unlucky in them or not.

bah when i saw Kelly was out for East Stirling i thought MONTROSE HERE WE COME!!! but it looks like ontrose wont be at full strength nor bothered. need to olook at it. I might as well read up the thread to start with

all bets with bet 365....east fife to win at 1-1.......rating 10.......to win h-t at 17-10......rating 7........to win htft at 9-4........rating 7..............
Looking quite tasty now Parksy. Looks like East Fife could be up for it too. It also looks like i missed the bus. East fife by a couple would just finish your season off nicely Paksy. Good luck.

Quote:
Elgin have played both Stranraer and Montrose the last two weeks and in both games, both teams had already secured their playoff spot, so really didnt have anything to play for, but both put out strong sides, both took it seriously and both beat us 3-2 lol.

Aswell as momentum going into the playoffs, Stranraer will be looking for the pyschological advantage over Arbroath. Arbroath beat them 3-0 at Stair park last time and if stranraer dont win on Saturday and went into the playoff final vs Arbroath, then Arbroath have a massive pyscological advantage over Stranraer being undefeated against them. So im pretty positive Stranraer will be dying for a good win over Arbroath ahead of the playoffs and there is no doubt Stranraer are by far the better side.

Montrose didn't take it easy vs us and wont against shire on Saturday. Shire have missed thier chance to avoid bottom against Dumbarton, they are surely doomed to bottom spot. The last thing Montrose will want going into the playoffs is a defeat to the worst team in Scotland.
Thanks Cityfan. I'm still considering them both but i have to admit i aint as confident as i was. We shall see what happens though.

alloa should beat berwick......but at the price ill give it a miss......1-4.......minus 2 goals 9-5.........alloa would need to win by 3 clear goals?have alloa got 3 goals in them?ill not chance it......plus berwick have sacked their manager.....and everybody knows what that sometimes means.....
youve got me thinking about taking Berwick +2 now Parksy. Close games this season. Then again a bad team doesnt become a good team overnight but im thinking they could be well up for this game.

I think Brechin have had their chances Parksy and theyve blown them. Maybe im just bitter as i was on them both times. If they couldnt do it then when they had things in their own hands v weaker teams then i aint gonna take them to do it today

itd only be fitting to finish off the normal season with a bet on east fife, you going to go for your usual -1, -2 ,-3 goals or just stick to ht/ft with dutched correct scores of 4, 5 and 6-0 ???
I agree Spacecat. I think it would just be fitting. You'll feel Parksys glowing happy face just after 5 oclock when they do the business again.

Ayr team news sounds interesting there spacat. I aint a fan of Ayr at home but with Mclaren's presence and ayr looking to be finishing the season well you would have to be interested. 8/5 with Extrabet (6/5 Skybet) Interesting.

Re: 26th April Scots 1-2-3

You made me jump there Spacecat yah git Aye ayr could be good. Let me go see their home form thats been leaving me in some doubt Spacecat.

Ill take it from the start of the year seeing as they got a new manager etc

Scottish Division 2 Ayr 4-0 Berwick 02-01-2008
Scottish Division 2 Ayr 3-1 Alloa 19-01-2008
Scottish Division 2 Ayr 3-1 Queen's Park 26-01-2008
Scottish Division 2 Ayr 0-3 Peterhead 09-02-2008
Scottish Division 2 Ayr 0-3 Brechin 23-02-2008
Scottish Division 2 Ayr 1-1 Airdrie Utd 27-02-2008
Scottish Division 2 Ayr 0-2 Ross County 15-03-2008
Scottish Division 2 Ayr 1-1 Cowdenbeath 22-03-2008
Scottish Division 2 Ayr 0-1 Raith 05-04-2008

Bah no win in 6. they did beat Airdrie up there a few weeks ago when im sure Airdrie still had a glimmer of hope Maybe it was all over by then i will have a check. Not one im overly confident about at the mo spacecat but there's certainly plenty to look at in it. It's making me interested.

shit the bed?

Re: 26th April Scots 1-2-3

read the thread, i shat all over my bog last night, the beds great but i just woke up with excitement for the day ahead.

i had this dream about a girl i used to work with too, we were just sitting in a garden somewhere with some other people i knew talking and joking around in the sun like you see on american telly. i really wanted in this girls pants back in the day, so it was nice remembering her while lying in my own warm sweaty bed. it kept me awake anyway.

the football, as i said before i only bet on intuition and second guessing the psychology of those involved now as yet im not feeling anything

i need inspiration.

komp, whats all this about you not being on the net soon? thought you were moving to your brther place? or you still heading to glasgow?

Re: 26th April Scots 1-2-3

Wednesday i get chucked out Spacecat. I havent even begun to look for a flat. If i was half as concerned about my life as i was on getting the forum set up as i was hoping then i would be laughing. still when it's done it's done and it will always be here and also it will be a hell of a lot busier than it is today. aye glory days.

With Airdrie already having secured second place, it is likely that boss Kenny Black will make full use of his squad given that we face a crucial trip to Kirkcaldy in the first leg of the playoff semi finals on Wednesday night.

Top scorer and Second Division Player of the Year Allan Russell will not be risked after he limped off inside the first 15 minutes of last weeks 1-1 draw with Alloa. Steven McKenna, who is set to have a knee op in the summer, has also been rested in recent weeks and is unlikely to feature.

With Airdrie potentially facing four huge games in less than 2 weeks, it makes sense to rest key players and others such as Kevin McDonald or Graeme Holmes may also be left out to protect them ahead of more crucial fixtures.
Ayr United vs Airdrie United Match Preview | Airdrie United Football Club

I'll have a look at ayr and have a quick shuftie about the sites and see if there's much being said. No much on bbc or p&b

Re: 26th April Scots 1-2-3

fucksake, you knew you were going to leave the place ages ago. i was still living in dumbartonshire when you first talked about it ffs.

errr...aye,nothing online anywhere about this, im going to take ayr in a double with a stray £20 note later though as no info means nothing to put me off

who do i double them with. i love how this weekend is priced up through the card, just wish i knew what to get on.

has to be the saints surely, livi have only been good when the squad was in top condition, pish the rest of the year and now playing kids? hmm... saints looking to bounce back for the home fans too perhaps

Re: 26th April Scots 1-2-3

Cowdenbeath-
Quote:
Looking ahead to this weekend he added, “We want to finish the league campaign with a win if we can but we will have to field the strongest side we can raise.

“It would not only lift our spirits but also boost confidence for the play-offs which start next week.

“Hopefully we might have one or two players back from injury, David and John Armstrong should be able to play 45 minutes each and Mark Ramsay should be OK along with Shanks but we may have to rely on more young players to fill the gaps.

“We are fortunate we have the youngsters for without them I do not think we could have fielded a side last Saturday so short were we through injury”.
Central Fife Times | Sport | Cowden will play for pride

East Fife have their keeper back who's on loan from errrrr Raith? If team news is ok from Montrose i could still be interested. Then again East stirling will be doing all they can to avoid finishing bottom.

Aye look to have a decent squad for today's game. Who will be playing though?
Quote:
It looks like Andy McLaren will pla a bigger part in tomorros game. While, Ally Woodburn and Lloyd Kinnaird, who featured in the 3-1 win at Queen’s Park, look to keep their places on Saturday.

Brian Reid said: “We want to put on a final day show in front of our own fans and end on a high against a team we haven’t lost to this season.”

Squad from: -

M. McGeown, N.McGowan, Lowing, Easton, Henderson, Wardlaw, Woodburn, Williams, Stewart, McLeod, Pettigrew, Campbell, Stevenson, Forrest, Kinnaird, McLaren, Robertson and Weaver
also it looks like players will be playing to impress for a new contract etc
icAyrshire - Ayr Utd boss set for player clearout

Stevenson will be away no doubt. Will he be caring about today? Aye i just dont know spacecat. this game could be anything to me the now.

Gonna have a read of the insider

In truth I could manage without the game against Ayr, We obviously have the play offs in our minds. My team selection will take account of any suspension issues which are looming and any slight, niggling injuries. That said, it is a small pool so my options are limited. Ayr are the only team we have not beaten this season so that will be an incentive for us, as well as finishing our league programme with a win prior to commencing the play off.

McDougall and McKenna are the only two who will definitely not feature on Saturday, due to injury
Airdrie United Football Club

aye im starting to think Ayr certainly could be worth a bet Spacecat. Not one to be overly confident in but i think there's a bit of value in that 8/5 with Extrabet. I think Skybet's 6/5 could be about the right price

Worst game / vers performance of the season IMHO - but both sides contributed to the debacle. Stranraer looked pretty much in neutral mode waiting for the play-offs and we seemed to take our cue from that. No crunching tackles, nobody busting a gut to get forward - can't remember last game I saw with 0 bookings - I think that about sums it up.

Possibly also the only game this season where I can't remember us making at least one decent effort on goal.
Albion Rovers Message Board

from the Stranraer v Albion game last week. stranraer fans seemed quite happy with it mind
