Re: 22nd April English Leagues Midweek

Wolves - Cardiff
Apparently Cardiff might not be not interested in Premier league play-offs again this year and they might do the same like they just did last year - losing most of the matches at the end of the season...

On Saturday Cardiff lost to already relegated Scunthorpe, from what I've read about this match, none of the sides showed any extra effort to win the game in 1st half, things changes in the 2nd HT but Cardiff still could not get back on track confidently after conceding two more goals from Scunthorpe.

Dave Jones, Cardiff's manager, says the loss was partly down to players having their minds on next month's FA Cup final at Wembley. "We always felt the closer we get to it, nobody wants to pick up an injury and you've got to understand that as well," said Jones. Jones admits he is already looking towards next season.

Cardiff is not ready to fight in PL play-offs at the moment, Cardif's manager is hoping the next season will be better for them and they will have enough funds to buy new players to get better results. Risking any injuries of their key players for something that is not their aim now is important fact and FA Cup in Wembley is the only key goal now...

Al thought Wolves are not in their best this season as well, they're still in hopes of entering play-offs just like last year... They still have 3 matches to play (get 9 points) and are only short of 6 points to get a play-off spot.

Last matches in 2006/2007 season (Cardiff could get enough points to enter play-offs as well):
May 6, 2007 Championship League Ipswich Town 3 - 1 Cardiff City
Apr 28, 2007 Championship League Cardiff City 0 - 1 Hull City
Apr 21, 2007 Championship League Queens Park Rangers 1 - 0 Cardiff City
Apr 14, 2007 Championship League Cardiff City 1 - 1 Stoke City
Apr 9, 2007 Championship League Burnley FC 2 - 0 Cardiff City

Wolves straight win at 1.88 (BetFair)

Cardif couldnt make the play-offs even if they tried Scorpio by my reckoning. Ah 3 games to go for them. very very slim chance. Wolves however are in a must win game. I thought wolves were going ok and safe in the play-oiffs. must have hit a rocky patch. Wolves last 2 are away to Burnley and home to Plymouth. Not the easiest of games. If they have to have any chance though this is a must wiin. Wolves 5/6 in places and i like the sound of that. Shit this is tonight. Right im for a something. I dont even know hat day of the week it is. Lets have a more proper look at all these games that no one bar scorpio cares about.

Wolves home form not the best. Last few games theyve had some tough games though and they might be feeling a bit frustrated meeting the top sides at this time of year. I do want to back Wolves but the draw is a big worry but they aint really done nothing wrong for 8 weeks really. Aye i could take them and good luck to us Scorpio

Bristol Rovers v Swindon looks a total non event to me. A bit of an M4 'derby' game i suppose. 2 teams with not much to play for rather than pride. I would have to e a fool to get involved in this so Swindon town for me . Nah only joking.

Wrexham are being backed in all round. Hereford's form of late doesnt look all that to me but how could you back Wrexham? a must win game for both teams. Under 2.5 goals looks quite good with VCBet at 4/5 so im gonna go see if my Poker money is in the bank and fund that account

To be honest, if asked for goals, I'd rather take over .. I think Hereford could slip at home and concede one.. so 2-1 3-1 could be the final score...

Hereford's recent form is decent but not great, but come on! Wrexham?... They got some results... but... just look what they've done against Shrews, when both teams had strong motivation.

Hereford -1 AH offered at 2.2... that's just crazy... I'll take that...

I never trust Wolves at home but im going to make an exception tonight, its must win game for them and cardiff seem disinterested and their mind firmly on the fa cup final coming up. The loss to relegated Scunthorpe on saturday proves this. 5/6 in the locals a good price heres hoping!
