suppose i should 'bump' this. Come on now dont be shy. Looks like a good place for Killie to go. I hear their injuries are the best they have been. Maybe finish the season on a high?

I'm liking hearts ht/ft @ 2.75 paddy power

Although they narrowly lost a top 6 place think that their squad is just too strong for saints

If not for Gretna I feel saints would be looking at relegation

Also Hearts 1.73@ extrabet.

So c'mon you hearts!

I was just goint to ask about the Hearts match. Read that they are fielding quite a few youngsters for their remaining 5 matches of the season. Haven't got a clue about St Mirren though.

Hearts youngsters you say diomed, have not seen that.

May have to rethink.

Bit in evening times talks of Saints not able to accomodate extension due to players all going to spain (paid by themselves)

Nada about hearts but it is a Glasgow paper!

Re: 19-20 April Scots Premier and FA Cup

my only problem with st j + 2 goals is I cant see Rangers not getting less than 3 or 4 real goal scoring chances, although it is a semi and st j will keep things tight for as long as poss, but the gulf in class is massive!!!!!!!!

think about this bet mate, both teams nothing to play for, if ever there was a time for trying youngsters it would be now!!! just dont like these type of betting games. Hearts will still probably win but is it worth the gamble when they have nothing to extend themselves for?

ic breathed fresh life into the SPL title race with a last-gasp 2-1 win over Rangers on Wednesday night and now they have the chance to go top of the table on Saturday when they face Aberdeen.

With the Gers in Scottish Cup action against St Johnstone, a win for Gordon Strachan's men will take them two points clear, albeit having played three games more.

They have finally found their scoring boots following a run of five blanks in seven games prior to the 4-1 win at Motherwell on Sunday.

That's not good news for visitors Aberdeen as they have already shipped 12 goals to the champions this season, although they did earn a shock 1-0 Scottish Cup win at Celtic Park a matter of weeks ago.

But to say the Dons defence was atrocious against Queen of the South last week is a huge understatement.

They lost four goals to the First Division side in their Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden - it could even have been more - and if Celtic score early on Saturday, it could be another hammering for Jimmy Calderwood's men.

With that in mind, we like the look of the 6/5 available on Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink to score anytime.

The Dutchman netted the winner in stoppage time against Rangers and has scored five of the club's last 10 goals.

He has found the net twice against Aberdeen this season to add to his three last season.

In a game in which Vennegoor of Hesselink is likely to be presented with plenty of chances, it's just a matter of whether he is able to finish them or not.

Going on his last few games, and his previous form against the Dons, we reckon he is a good value bet.

Meanwhile, Kilmarnock make the long journey north to Inverness on Saturday looking to go level on points with the Highlanders.

It's been a poor season for Jim Jefferies' Killie, who have lost his two top strikers in Steven Naismith and Colin Nish since August.

But they have been on a decent run recently, losing once in six games since a horrific 4-2 defeat at Gretna at the end of February.

That includes a 4-1 home win over Saturday's opponents, a result which contributed to Inverness' run of just two wins from 13 games prior to the victory over Gretna two weeks ago.

They did beat the Ayrshire men at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium over the festive priod but since then they've won only once in six home games - and that came against Gretna.

Killie have only won twice on the road this season in the SPL but with confusion over the future direction of Caley following the resignation of chairman Alan Savage and with nothing but pride to play for, we reckon the visitors are well worth taking on at 5/2, given their respective recent form.

mmm Celtic had a lot of the ball but hardly created a chance that night - McDonald should have scored before half time but really they didn't create much that night - neither did Aberdeen. Celtic also had that against Dundee Utd and also Motherwell which they didn't score against. Maybe its changed for them after Motherwell 4-1 game and also the result against Rangers and it will be interesting to see how Aberdeen react after the Shambles against QOS. Think its a risk taking Celtic on the handicap just in case they go back to the previous games against Motherwell, Dundee Utd and Aberdeen when they hardly created chances but i do expect them to win by few but too risky for me to get involved.
