Re: 11th-12th April Welsh Premier League

two of tonight's matches - Friday- could see an upset/surprise

Llangefni are fighting to avoid relegation whilst Bangor have nothing to play for with the Welsh Cup final to come .
I've got to admit that i'm hoping for a Bangor win to ease Porthmadog's doom . Llangefni have got the results recently.

Preview: Llangefni v Bangor
Apr 11 2008 By Daily Post

LLANGEFNI Town and Bangor City , who pulled in 600-plus fans for their first derby at Farrar Road in November – a 2-2 thriller – are in the right mood for a fascinating re-match at Talwrn Road tonight.
The hosts are upbeat because their league survival campaign looks more hopeful, having moved off the basement, while City are eagerly anticipating a Welsh Cup final appearance.
And both team bosses have declared they will target the three points on offer., for different causes.
Llangefni’s director of football, Gus Williams, said: "We have three games to play and need as many points as possible to move away from the relegation zone completely.
"While we will set out to win this game if we can, it is more of a must-not-lose situation for us.
"Having had another excellent training session the lads are on a high and with a bumper crowd, 98% supporting Llangefni, it should be a great night with hopefully a great result."
Bangor’s manager Nev Powell said: "Although we are down in seventh place at the moment, it is possible we could finish fourth and want perhaps seven or more points from the three games left.
"We are as desperate to win this game as Llangefni are and, disregarding local sentiment about their fight to survive, this is just another league game for us."
Both camps report unchanged squads, but , free of injuries.Llangefni will call up youngsters Iwan Jones and Lee Jones for the bench, while City’s Martin Beattie is still missing.has undergone surgery on a damaged cheekbone and could make the cup final.

Airbus v TNS
TNS @ 1.3 are back to winning away with win at Rhyl on Tuesday , but with Airbus available @ 8.0 with bet365 I'm tempted to risk a small stake.
Airbus only lost 0-1 at Llanelli last Saturday. It is reported from the TNS site that they may blood a few youngsters as

Saints-Alive! The home of The New Saints FC

With April being the month for strange results in this league I'm risking a small stake on Airbus @ 8.0 bet365
This is one of those end of season daft bets that you should avoid

tonight's results

Airbus 2-0 TNS (2-0) .. sorry for not being confident regarding this bet
Llangefni 0-1 Bangor City (0-0)

don't get bets in @ 8.0 often in footie , so a bit chuffed tonight , still regretting the small stake though

caution again :this league is not predictable in the final month

glad someone else was on it as well as it makes posting worthwhile

just a few comments about today's games

Connah's Quay v Llanelli
I saw Connah's Quay last week and their defence was poor ,Llanelli have already won the title after TNS' loss last night so they will be out to celebrate today.
C.Q. lost 4-0 at Llanelli early in the season , all 4 goals scored in the first 15 minutes if I remember correctly.
Llanelli ht/ft @2.05 with expekt
edit p.s. C.Q cannot be relegated even though they are relegation material

Haverfordwest v Welshpool
nonentity of a match anytime of the season.

Caernarfon v Aberystwyth
Caernarfon need to get points today as in the next week they play fellow strugglers Llangefni and Caersws..
Aber have been on a losing streak recently

Carmarthen v Porthmadog
I'm hoping for an away win but after seeing our defensive debacle last week , we need to score 4 to outscore Carmarthen , highly unlikely

Neath v Caersws
I'm hoping for a home win to keep Caersws within reach .
Neath had been on a decent run but their blip was a 4-2 defeat at Llangefni

Newtown v Cefn Druids
The type of game you would send an American tourist to watch as they know jack shit about football and would still be none the wiser after this event

Rhyl v Port Talbot
Rhyl lost midweek to TNS but were the better side according to reports .
Port Talbot [6th] have a decent league position but tend to be inconsistant away as the only just beat Connah's Quay 1-0 but lost their previous away game to Llangefni 4-1

my only bet today is Llanelli ht/ft @2.05 with expekt

Re: 11th-12th April Welsh Premier League

rhyl are excellent home side 11-2-3 in form despite 2 straight losses. port talbot 6-3-6 away, they never earned result against rhyl - 2-0-13 h2h including 7 away defeats in a row.
rhyl 1.65

newi cefn druids 4-0-2 in last six have their chance in struggling newtown. home side are 8 without win and have horrible statistics vs druids 1-3-9, 0-2-4 home balance. could be one of rare druid away wins at 2.8.

hi belkin ,nice to see you, agree with you on Rhyl , but with only one week to go and these clubs with nothing to play for i've given them a miss bettingwise

p.s. i would never bet on Cefn away though even at poor Newtown
