Re: Carnegie Irish League 7/8 march.

Glentoran have a tough home game against a Coleraine team on a high after thrashing 'Stute 5-1 in the cup midweek. This is a game the Glen's cannot afford to loose as the top two teams are almost sure of win's on saturday. bANNSIDER fancies a draw @ 3.75

D'gannon @ 2.20 are a bit inconsistent but in the mood can win here.

Cliftonville @1.40 are much to strong allround team and despite D.C. having two great results the reds will get 3 pts.

Crusaders @ 1.80 will be trying hard to hold on to 10th place and not get sucked into the bottom 4 who will be relegated in a new 12 team league next year.'Stute got a walloping midweek and wont be looking forward to playing in the tight little pitch on the shore road.

Larne are in a real mess manager resigns-chairman resigns- manager reinstated, what's going on Linfield easy win @1.14

Glenavon v Newry both in a poor run look's like a booring draw.

Limavady are doomed unless they win this game against B'mena who are in freefall i've got a sneaking feeling L'vady @ 4.33 could upset the sheepmen.

Portadown v Distillery i'm going for a draw.

Cliftonville 1.50 with Betdirect, Betterbet and stan James. 1.30 in places

Crusaders 1.91 with Betdirect, Betterbet and stan James. 1.70 in places

Re: Carnegie Irish League 7/8 march.

Not too many facies this week for me but the one team i do think will win comfortably is Crusaders. They had a good win thrashing Larne last week and have picked up a good form over the past few games whereas Stute got thumped midweek by Coleraine in the cup replay and morale could be very low.

Re: Carnegie Irish League 7/8 march.

Glentoran 2 - 1 ColeraineFriday 7th March
Tonight's rescheduled Carnegie Premier League game finished with a well earned 2-1 victory to the Glens. It was a hard fought game that saw the Glens take the lead through David Scullion on 56 minutes although having the better of the chances throughout the first half. It seemed as though the game would play out from here with a second goal on the cards, however Coleraine struck back from the penalty spot after Jamie McGovern was penalised for holding John Watt in the area.
The equaliser put more spice into the game forcing both teams to go for the win, but the difference once again was Gary Hamilton. The top scorer Hamilton found himself on the end of a Jamie McGovern cross to head home for the Glen and sealing the victory and another vital 3 points.
Tonight's result puts Glentoran just 2 points behind league leaders Linfield and one behind Cliftonville, however both teams have a game in hand.
