Cliftonville v Portadown
Cliftonville beat Portadown 2-1 at Solitude in the league in January
Portadown manager Ronnie McFall says his star players will have to produce something special at Solitude to keep their hopes of silverware alive.
"We need to match Cliftonville's commitment and then turn to potential matchwinners," said McFall ahead of the Irish Cup quarter-final.
"The cup is our last chance for a trophy so the players should not need motivated for the tie.
Cliftonville have completed a league double over the Ports this season.
And they beat Portadown 3-1 at this stage of last year's Irish Cup.
On Tuesday the Belfast club lost 3-2 away to holders Drogheda United in the Setanta Cup but manager Eddie Patterson was satisfied with the fighting performance.
"The Irish Cup is the third competition we will have been involved in this week," said Patterson.
"The big games are coming thick and fast but a lot of managers would love to be in that position."
Cliftonville have been buoyed by the news that striker Stephen O'Neill has signed a two-year contract extension.
Glentoran v Donegal Celtic
Sean Ward insists Glentoran are focused on their task
Glentoran's Sean Ward says they will not be taking Donegal Celtic lightly in Saturday's cup game despite hammering them 5-1 in the league recently.
"DC are tough to play against because they work hard for each other," said the Glens player.
"It is their first time in the last eight of the Irish Cup and the prize is massive for both teams.
Donegal Celtic goalkeeper Stephen Harbinson said all the pressure was on favourites Glentoran.
"We can give it our best shot but it is Glentoran who are expected to beat us," said Harbinson.
"We are capable of beating of them. We beat them last season in the league and we drew with them earlier this season, so we knew if we click we can achieve a good result."
Institute v Coleraine
David Ogilby is suspended for Institute
Institute are without six regulars for Saturday's JJB Sports Irish Cup quarter-final against Coleraine.
David Ogilby is suspended, Kyle Moran and Neil Larmour cup-tied and John O'Loughlin is away on a business trip.
Ruairi
Boyle is out with a stomach muscle complaint and Mark Scoltock suffers from an ankle ligament injury.
Coleraine reckon without the suspended John Neill and the cup-tied Matthew Crossan but Stewart Clanachan and Sean Heneghan are both available again.
The Bannsiders have been boosted by the news that defender Kyle McVey is to sign a new two-year contract with the club.
Institute boss Liam Beckett is philosophical about his absent players.
"We have had to call up a couple of reserves, whose name I didn't even know before I met them at training this week," said Beckett.
"We work with a very small squad and that costs us at times like this but we will try to utilise the players at our disposal.
"It gives other players a chance to show what they can do and we are looking forward to the derby and will enjoy the day," he added.
Institute are making their first appearance in the Irish Cup quarter-finals as a senior club.
Newry City v Linfield
Oran Kearney was rested for the league game at Donegal Celtic
Midfielder Oran Kearney could return to the Linfield team for Saturday's Irish Cup quarter-final away to Newry City.
Kearney, who recently returned to action after a lengthy absence because of a knee operation, was rested for last weekend's game at Donegal Celtic.
"Oran has come through a full week?s training so he is fresh and fit and gives us another option," said Linfield manager David Jeffrey.
Newry are hopeful their injury worries will clear up in time for the match.
And former Linfield star Chris Morgan, now with Newry, is aiming to strike a blow for the underdogs.
"If we can beat Linfield, we can go all the way and win the Irish Cup," he said.
"That might sound unrealistic but we feel we can do it."
