Re: Scottish 1-2-3 : 1st March

Aye well you could talk me into adding Brechin to my list this week Parksy. I suppose there is no reason for me not to back bar me thinking ive had my wins with them and backing aginst Alloa has cost me this season. I cant go and look at anything as ive got a real bad computer virus and i cant get rid of it. Been fighting it for weeks but tooth and nail the last 48hrs. everything is suuuch a drag online for me which is a bit shit as i am online 99% of my waking life.

Anyhow be good to read up and see your fancies Parksy and see Spacecat's mind meanderings. Oh TDP was on LBC Radio this morning folks. Listen to it HERE (right click and Save As..). Thread on it HERE. Dont forget to tune in in the morning if you can folks.

im liking what your telling me about Ayr Parksy. I think im gonna get on them sooner than later. I know 2 of he meetings between the two this season Berwick have competed so it aint cut and dried. Ayr should be odds on for this and i dont think anyone is doing anything wrong in taking Evens on Ayr without a thought.

Forfar you also can talk me into Parksy. They got Geddes in from Brechin too didnt they? Aye going the right way. You al know i rate elgin more than i possibly should. They do well or go to pieces. Forfar are on a wee run and maybe one that will take them off the bottom.

Interesting that Wylde has gone. He hasnt really produced with all the money he was given. East stirling have turned into a bit of a dissapponment and im sorry to all those that took them to finish above elgin this season. when the bet was advised they had spent well and Elgin had lost all their best players. East stirling started like a train and Elgin slowly got in some loan deals and can beat anyone on their day. East stirling look destined for the bottom of the pile again.

Was my Elgin +?? ever gonna happen last week Parksy? When Queens Pk made it 2-2 up at Ross and it was still 0-0 East Fife Elgin i was thinkng that i was the boy

good to hear the positives from ayr the other night Spacecat. It was better on the ears than that song that you posted

Re: Scottish 1-2-3 : 1st March

no komp....i can honestly say elgin at no time looked like they were going to cause east fife many problems.....but they did play ok i suppose......their defence played ok.....i thought at one stage that east fife were not going to break them down.....but at the same time i thought there was no-way they could hold out untill full time.....in the 2nd half east fife seemed to find a couple of gears......it really could have been 4 or 5.....

Re: Scottish 1-2-3 : 1st March

soz about this Parksy bloody Oddschecker had or still have most the teams round the wrong bloody way. No wonder i was getting crazy odds on some homes

just to ammend some thoughts then poss...

Ayr at Berwick. Even bloody better. Ill have ayr and over 2.5 goals

Ross AT Peterhead. Again that might be even better for me again. Nah its worse. Of course its worse. ross would have been 8/11 if at home. I think Ross could possibly be better on the road but with Peterhead fighting for a play-off i suppose a draw could be the call. tough game

Airdrie at Hampden makes a dif and they probably are a bit short at the price. nah their about right. Hard game. (thats my easy way of not typing things - tomorrow is my day for this, ive a forum to promote and finish the rest of the time)

East Fife AT Stranraer. Well that makes sense now. Price is right but i would take any decent team to go to stranraer and get 3pts. Stranraer are playing well under their new manager and they have some ood players back and playing well. They havent impressed v East Fife so far this season from memory though and East Fife could .....i forgot about what Parsky was saying abou ththem. I better read more. Prob no bet all in.

Im a bit worried of east Fife not playing to 100% too Parksy. Stranraer are in a fight for play-offs although with games in hand are looking comfortable. Maybe not one to bet on.

ok so revised shortlist would be-

Ayr
Brechin
Stenhousemuir
forfar

shit stenny at East Stirling. Local derby but hardly happy hunting ground for stenhousemuir. Ill add them though

Re: Scottish 1-2-3 : 1st March

just caught the clip from the show komp, superb bit of marketing there, make sure they get the .com in next time

i got delayed by dinner shenanigans later and have been KICKING myself all night for bottling out of click 'confirm' for getafe this evening in a single i really fancied them in. something just didnt feel right about thursday night betting, ive never had my own cash on the uefa cup for the same reason, so i lost the taste for punting for a while there.

so anyway heres the clash for a bit of poker related music

Quote:
Queen's Park 3-1 Berwick Rangers

Queen's Park recorded a rare win over a Berwick side who are now stranded at the foot of the Second Division.
The Spiders broke the deadlock after 21 minutes when Paul Cairney drilled the ball home in fine style from 16 yards.
Berwick drew level with Ian Little firing home a first-time shot from the edge of the box.
Mark Ferry curled in a free-kick from 20 yards on 65 minutes and Stuart McGrady ran on to a fine Ferry pass to seal the win in the dying moments.
Quote:
Raith Rovers 3-0 Berwick Rangers

Second Division promotion hopefuls Raith kept the pressure on leaders Ross County with a comprehensive victory.
The hosts took the lead in the 32nd-minute when Mark Campbell headed home Robert Sloan's corner.
Sloan provided an assist for the second goal when his diagonal pass was glanced past Peter Logan by Steve Hislop.
Substitute Graham Weir sealed victory when he headed home Sloan's corner with one minute late on. Brian Fairbairn was sent off to compound Berwick's misery.
Quote:
Peterhead 9-2 Berwick Rangers

Stuart McKay scored a hat-trick as Peterhead thrashed bottom side Berwick in an amazing Division Two victory.
Martin Bavidge opened the home scoring, but Iain Diack bundled in a reply.
Bavidge restored the lead, Bobby Mann thundered home a 25-yard free kick, Stuart McKay netted another and Callum MacDonald headed in after 29 minutes.
Graham Sharp fired home after the break, McKay headed in, Rory McAllister squeezed in the eighth, Diack replied for Berwick, but McKay added his third.
Quote:
Alloa Ath 2-1 Berwick Rangers

Alloa got back to winning ways after four consecutive defeats and added to bottom side Berwick's misery.
Four minutes before the break, Graeme Brown rose to head Alloa's opener from a lovely cross by Dougie Wilson.
Berwick's efforts to equalise were frustrated with the home defence in good form and in the 78th minute Wilson drove in the crucial second for Alloa.
With a minute remaining, Berwick found the net with a good strike from substitute Chris Anderson.
Quote:
Berwick Rangers 0-4 Ross County

Andy Barrowman turned on the style in a 10-minute spell to inspire Ross County to their eighth league win in a row.
Rangers showed fight and promise for the first 20 minutes until Barrowman set up Adam Strachan to net easily.
Robbie Horn sent a Strachan cross into his own net four minutes later and then Barrowman had a penalty saved.
But within 60 seconds the striker added County's third with a brilliantly taken lob and then completed the rout on 71 minutes, converting a rebound.

aye, berwick have been on some run of late (why havent i been on board? bloody queens park ruining division 2 for me this year!). they seem to hold out for about 20 minutes normally, i wonder if ayr start games quickly? a good second half v airdrie repeated this weekend will see them take the points, loads of pressure down there at the moment for a result or two, i like it alot atm.

how significant will the red card be? who was it that got sent off again? a defender by the looks of things, i like that, when a midfielder or forward is sent off teams tend to take things as casually as they did before and only tighten up later on. when its one of the back line they really dig in and go for it straight away.

notice stevenson got the assist for the goal. ive no idea what to say about the game. the odds are probably shocking.

Re: Scottish 1-2-3 : 1st March

Just thinkign about Berwick's form of late Spacecat now youve posted it. I cant flick to see any stats etc but is that all their recent games? If so then when did they get them 3 old boys back? It was against Ross wasnt it? Nah the 9-2 was before that. I think theyve only played 2 games max. If theyre still looking dreadfull then i will take them on quite happily at even money. Actually im on the even money already. Shit i better post the best odds available for these teams as thats what some forum owner would do.

Shit no more songs. I know that your vids will be well frowned upon spacecat but not by me. I like a bit of music as i surf and i was a bit dissapointed that that song has finished and there is no more. I think its a reat idea spacecat but ive a feeling that 3/4 of the people that dont post anyhow will rear their ugly heads and say 'this is terrible i am glad i dont post here' and i suppose ive learnt to agree with them in some ways. Actiually bollocks the Scots 1-2-3 thread is our thread and if folks dont like it then they can just not visit it. I think this will all ed in tears though spacecat and me and you will have to have a splinter scottish thread. Infact i'll go start a thread after this that will appeal to some (you me and johnny for sure) and out the faces of others. I feel compelled to post a vid now. Actually i used to always post vids on threads. A thread is made up with posts just as a forum is made up by people. It would be a shame if we all posted the same wouldnt it?

Thats me on a friday night thinking about ayr's chances at Berwick. aye they have to be odds on. slight odds on. 2 hard games between the two. all things considered though you have to fancy the Honest Men to have one of their 'going days'. IWey Sail could tell you better Spacecat but i wouldnt say Ayr have started games particuarly quickly. theyve enough talent and goalscorers (is baldachino still on loan? I dont think so) Stevenson should make the differance in them being about the right price and them being a good price imo. I dont know much about the berwick players this season Spacecat as its been chop and change. Ill have a look at team news mind. There's even talk of Mclaren coming back for ayr this season. surely saturday is still too early?

Re: Scottish 1-2-3 : 1st March

Im just going away to bed. a few thoughts though. Cowdenbetah were due to have 9 players out for their midweek clash which was postponed but you all already knew that. Gilfilian is definetly out. A rare Raith win?

St Johnstone have signed Jody Morris

Forfar being moved in and if reports have been ok between the two this season then i might well hamer the 3/1 in Betfred on them.

East stirling aint scored in 5 games or somethind and sacking ht emanager will help. stenhousemuir will have Harty playing on sat though and im finding it hard to get away from stenhousemuir.

Arbroath are keach!

Livi will be missing Craig.

alloa will be missing one of their better players but i think Parksy mentioned that.

ayr i still like although their away record this season suprised me a bit. I thought it was better.

Ross County i still could like and i might take queens pk at 13/5 with bet365

Scottish div one bores me shitless and it has done for years

Re: Scottish 1-2-3 : 1st March

Have seen some weather forecasts predicting really strong winds in Scotland this weekend, is it true? This would make most of the matches played in the small lower divisions stadiums a plain lottery.
