Re: English Premier 1st & 2nd March

I feel obliged to make my weekly assertion that Boro are the worst team in the Premiership (with the exception of Derby).

I won't bother making an effort to justify it. Anyone who's been unfortunate enough to sit and watch them play for over 3 and a half hours against a struggling Championship team and fail to score, won't need telling.

They are fuckin awfull and their place halfway up the Premiership is testement to the fact that this is probably the worst crop of teams to reside in the top flight for many, many years.

Newcastle, Wigan, Bolton, Birmingham. Shit, shit, shit and shit.

The top of the prem is a breath of fresh air with real competition not only for the winner's berth but for the fourth place and then, below that, the UEFA places.

Teams like Everton, Villa and City have made this season worthwhile. On the other hand, everone below West Ham has had a piss poor league season so far.

There was a point to this....what was it now.....oh yes, Boro should not be odds on against anybody. Ever.

No, not even to a team who haven't won away all season. We are talking about a team who could only beat the bottom two clubs by 1 goal.

If you intend to back them at odds on, please post and let me know.

I'll try to help you find a psychiatrist.

Re: English Premier 1st & 2nd March

You don't like Boro do u ODM

Personally i think this last month or so they arent playing to badly and would have expected them to beat Reading quite convincingly on current form but after tonights result against Sheffield United I wouldent be surprised to see Boro get cup fever like a lot of teams do and start slipping up especially as they'll see playing a team like Cardiff at home a passage straight to the Semis.

Boro may be worth laying in this one

I also like the look of Blackburn now they have started getting results again and Mcarthy bagging a couple could be the tonic he needs to start scoring again on a regular basis as Santa Cruz has nicked his limelight this yr and he will be looking to impress as he's currently in new contract negotiations.
Newcastle on the other hand are doing a lot of huffing and puffing but getting nowhere, Keegan will have to get is team pushing forward in this one as they need the points but against players like Pedersen, Santa Cruz, McCarthy and Bentley it could prove to be their undoing.

Re: English Premier 1st & 2nd March

Liverpool away will be my bet for the weekend. Stupidly, ill be betting with my heart rather than my head. Form suggests that the odds on offer are very average... but my heart sais they will win. The same old story I guess.....

Blackburn over Newcastle may also be on the cards....

Re: English Premier 1st & 2nd March

Manchester Utd. & Tottenham double.

The way I see things, MUtd is the best team in the world now, and every game they play makes a "default" bet for me. They humiliated Arsenal and Newcastle in two last games, so I have no reason to believe that they wont do do same with Fulham.
No danger from Lyon at all, they'll do the same with them.
Only potential absence of Ronaldo or Rooney could reduce my stake.

Birmingham sneak the draw vs. Arsenal caused only by stupidity of Arsenal's defense.
Tottenham showed that they're serious in attack and with Keane and Berbatov in superb form, I must follow them.

what do you think about arsenals prices ? i mean its unlikely for top flight teams to lose points against average sides like birmingham, twice a year, innit

Re: English Premier 1st & 2nd March

well this weekend there are a few interesting matches so here is my take on things:-
arsenal v villa-my instincts are screaming draw but my better judgement says that arsenal will put villa to the sword so my prediction is (1-0 arsenal)
birmingham v spurs-spurs playing catch up from a poor start to the season and in great form atm so i cant see past them bagging 3 points. prediction is (0-2 spurs)
derby v sunderland-does any1 know why these 2 teams are in the premiership, they are simply awful,i'm gonna back sunderland tho,i feel derby could maybe compete on a weekly basis if they dropped a league or 5. i mean i have seen more quality in a field full of goats with bad breath. prediction (0-1 sunderland)
fulham v man utd-what a team man utd have put together, they are on fire. this has got to be as close to a dead cert as your gonna see this weekend. prediction (0-3 man utd)
boro v reading-why are boro favourites for this match, they are an awful team tho reading not much better. must be a draw. prediction (1-1)
newcastle v blackburn-i cant get it into my head why newcastle seem to get embarassed week after week, i mean they have a decent enough wee squad of players,i'm afraid i cant see them taking anything away from this game,at least they dont have to travel. prediction (1-2 blackburn)
west ham v chelsea-i feel weird because so far i've nearly backed every away team and i'm gonna do it again, tho with all the press about the war at chelsea it makes you think how commited they will be on the pitch! prediction is (1-3 chelsea)
man city v wigan-i'm hoping that man city are gonna get back on track after such a poor performance against everton, they were simply outclassed but i can see them controlling this game. prediction (2-0 man city)
everton v portsmouth-i keep changing my mind for this match, 2 good teams doing well for themselves but i'm gonna say that everton will win this game, they are in fantastic form, moyes doing a great job. prediction (1-0 everton)

that my lot,see how it goes, will hopefully get back with my bets in a later post.

Re: English Premier 1st & 2nd March

Have to disagree ODM, cup football is different from the league and boro still went to anfield last week and scored twice. They'll definatly score against Reading and the way Reading have been playing as of late i cant even see how a lay of boro could be on the agenda. In my opinion at the minute i think they'll go down, simply hopeless.

Utd, Boro, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton all on the shortlist

Re: English Premier 1st & 2nd March

surley man city can get back to winning ways here.....surely they will beat wigan.....a team that has won just once on the road all season......8-11 city.....thats a massive price i think.....city were very disapointing against everton last monday night......everybody seemed to have an off night.....city are far better than that.....they showed what they were capable off against utd in their previous game.....they were fantastic in that game......i can see a very easy win for city......plus i think city are a good bet minus goals......
