Re: Scottish 1-2-3: 23rd Feb

youre in a for a treat then fife will be a different world to you! im from scotland it blew me away how weird it was,its all league of gentleman but with football teams

if all else fails then you should come see my team play hibs on saturday, ill be there and crying beer from my eyeballs when we get beat, shouldnt have a problem getting a ticlet for the away end as there will only be about 4-500 traveling for it but the hibs end usually sells out for games against us for some reason

Re: Scottish 1-2-3: 23rd Feb

i would like to visit more scottish lower leauge grounds as well.....but with me going to see city around 8 times a season its hard to fit in games in scotland as well...plus the money factor.....it would take you to rob a bank at times to keep up with it all.....its ok paying for 1.....but i have to pay for 3......not easy......ill be on again later in the week folks.....ill have to have my bets sorted and placed by friday night at the latest this week.......

Re: Scottish 1-2-3: 23rd Feb

are you space cat i have a book here with all my bets in it....and if i had a tenner for everytime that i have bet on east fife i could go on some holiday....they have made me some money this season....done very well for me......and i have had a feeling this good while that they are going to tank somebody 5 or 6......could this be the week....i wonder.....im very lucky when i go to games.....my brother in law says im the luckiest man ever at going to games....he thinks ive a crystal ball....even the poor city teams of this last number of years it was very very rarely i went to a game and they lost......so everytime i go now my brother in law bets on city....and he wins most of the time....very wierd....

Re: Scottish 1-2-3: 23rd Feb

a mate of mine knows these pensioners, all ex engineers so have cushy pensions to live off, who actually do just drive to games around the country they have bets on. theres normally just 3 of them on a weekend but they leave the wives behind on a saturday morning and head off to grounds in scotland and england, putting £100 quid each on the games.. if they win then the fuel and beer is paid for and if they lose they dont really care.

normally stick to lower league games but have been known to cheer on wigan in the past, hink theyve been going to a few leigh rmi games lately would love to do it myself but sadly i havent worked as a civil engineer for 40 years!

as it happens, being an inverness fan ive been to almost every ground in scotland, in the last 14 years we've come from the 3rd to the prem, did it in 10 actually without gretna or even livis investment, ive seen a few of our lads play infront of crowds of 200 in the 3rd and giving the same 100% they now do against celtic or rangers. its easy for me to picture match reports and weigh up teams chances having been to alot of these grounds, it makes a huge difference as im sure youll see for yourself on saturday

Re: Scottish 1-2-3: 23rd Feb

thats a good one spacecat...... they sound good weekends to me yes spacecat inverness have done very very well over the years....a few years ago i remember 1 season...maybe 2 seasons.... i was betting on inverness the same way as ive bet on east fife this season they won me a lot of cash that time as well....they were winning on a regular basis them days......but space cat what chance does anyother team have in the s.p.l other than the big 2.... rangers and celtic with the cash they have.....i dont think its fair on the other clubs....but thats the way it is......

cowdenbeath play peterhead every week dont they
they have played at least 4 times this season spacecat and peterhead hve won at least the first 3. Since then i dunno. I noticed Gilfilian comingon last week as a sub. Maybe too early for him but i wont be on either team this week ii think.

Parksy Brechin at Ayr looks a dtaw all over and a 2-2 one at that. its a terribly hard game to me and i cant see me getting involved.

looking top to bottom again and not looking at this thread for influnce....

man i almost want to take Livi to burst Hamilton's home bubble. Should be a great game and when i go back to normal hours of working i hope to take in a few games. this might be my choice this weekend. all i can advise is no bet for now.

Much though i disrespect QOS's form i disrespect particks more. Nah no bet. Not one to look at. Dunfermline and clyde have met enough this season. I aint a dunfermline fan but...nah no bet. St ohnstone still a big no away from home especially at Morton who i do rate.

Dundee at 5/6

im away to bed. Got the dentists

that dog mutley in your last post komp remembered me of myself last sat at 4.45pm....when that late forfar goal went in against montrose.......im still not over it.....cost me a huge win.....going by the report montrose had a cast iron penalty appeal turned down as well....plus forfar should have been reduced to 10 men as well earlier than that.....YOU COULD SAY MY LUCK WASNT IN....

Re: Scottish 1-2-3: 23rd Feb

Parsky i was on Brechin first game of the season at queens pk at 13/8. thouht it was great. I got beat. then i watched them draw and be unlucky for 12 games and then got them at 7/2 at home (i think) to someone) since then i had a few right results on them on tdp and away in my moods (east fife in the cup for one) Ive been watching them as much as i can without turning up to see thier games. I dont see it as a gong week for them this week. I think the price is spot on and i wouldnt like to split the two. Williams showed his magic last week and Stevenson must be back surely? On paper Ayr are a better team than most in this league imo and with mclaren due back poss i could se ethem go on a run that wil secure mid table mediocraty. staring with a draw v brechin who have never enjoyed going to somerset park from my memory.

aye i felt for you mate when that went in Parksy as i knew it was the 'lynchpin' Hopefully you'll get the same sort of luck the other way parksy and it will fit in with a bigger win. I just know that over a season your gonna get some great big wins in

even if they werent playing this weekend thats a months worth of football between these teams already and its only febuary after this weekend itll just start to take the piss.

one year ict played partick 7 times, 4 times in the league, both scottish and challenge cup (with a SC a replay). everybody online said it must get boring and proves the scottish game is in the gutter, every partick and inverness fan i spoke to at those games LOVED them and said they were the highlights of that season, think both teams scored about 18 goals each between the ties by the end of it the players all hated each other!

like i said before im not looking at the weekend action yet, not a thing stands out for me besides dumbarton, which will end up being a no bet anyway
