Dropping into League Two and Hereford look a cracking price to get the better of Chesterfield at Edgar Street.
The Bulls are absolutely flying at present and the arrival of on-loan striker Sherjill MacDonald from West Brom has given them a massive lift.
MacDonald scored twice on his debut in a 4-1 win over Dagenham & Redbridge last Saturday and in midweek fired in a first-half hat-trick as the Bulls cruised to a comfortable 4-2 win at in-form Rochdale.
Prior to his arrival, Hereford had claimed a massive 1-0 win at fellow title rivals Rotherham and at even money against a Chesterfield side who are slipping out of the promotion race, it would almost be rude not to be involved!
Plenty of people will point to the fact that Chesterfield have won eight away from home this season, but their form has dipped alarmingly over the last couple of months and they have managed to win just two of their 10 league games in 2008.
That run of results has seen them drop down to ninth in the table and while they will pointto a 4-0 hammering of Hereford a few weeks ago, Hereford's form has improved dramatically since then, and with MacDonald terrorizing defences at this level, don't be surprised to see him on the scoresheet again in what could turn out to be the best even-money shot of the weekend.
It is almost farcical how every year Wycombe do their very best to slip out of the promotion race during the second-half of the season and the Chairboys have to be opposed when Rotherham come to town.
Sitting in sixth place just three behind the Millers this is a massive six-pointer and with the visitors not playing well themselves it certainly is not maximum bet material, but at 2/1 Mark Robins' men do look a little long with Scandi layers, Expekt.
Wycombe were pretty awful when losing 2-1 at home to 23rd-placed Mansfield last Saturday and then in midweek let a two goal lead slip at 21st-placed Bury to end up leaving Gigg Lane with a draw.
That means Paul Lambert's men have now won just one of their last four league games, which is one more than Rotherham, who have managed to pick up just one point from their last four games.
It was always going to be a tough run of games against Peterborough, Hereford, MK Dons and Stockport, and make no mistake Robins will be fuming that his side have managed to claim just a single point from their visit to the MK Dons last Saturday.
They were blitzed by three second-half goals against Stockport in midweek, and at the moment actually seem to be enjoying playing on the road more than they do at home, with the Millers having won three and drawn one of their last five away games.
Make no mistake it will be Wycombe's turn to feel the pressure of playing at home at the weekend, especially after their last two performances, and with Rotherham desperate to bounce back to winning ways, the 2-1 on offer should be snapped up.

Re: 16th Feb Coca-Cola League Two
in this league i like betting on the aways , this weekend I'll be going on a home win for inform Grimsby. Grimsby on a great run at the moment ,they did draw 0-0 at D&R last month, D&R had an excellent 6-2 win at home to poor Chester on Tuesday, but i'll be on Grimsby @ 1.84 with betfair , whist most of the other bookies are at 1.67

Grimsby midfielder Danny Boshell is a major doubt for his side's home clash with Dagenham & Redbridge.
Boshell sustained a thigh strain in the midweek win at Macclesfield and was replaced by Paul Bolland midway through the second half.
Bolland is expected to resume on Saturday, but manager Alan Buckley could turn to Ciaran Toner who has recovered from a niggling hamstring injury.
Buckley has no other new injury or suspension problems, with Rob Atkinson, Nick Fenton and Peter Till all shaking off knocks in time to play at Macclesfield.
The Mariners, who have won three of their last four matches, are hoping to extend their unbeaten league run to 11 games and make up further ground on the top seven.
Dagenham are likely to name an unchanged side following their biggest win of the season.
The Daggers ran out convincing 6-2 winners over Chester on Tuesday night so manager John Still is unlikely to make changes to his starting line-up.
Ryan Hall, who came on as a substitute to score the sixth goal, has extended his loan spell from Crystal Palace for a second month.
Shane Huke is still a fortnight away with a groin injury and fellow midfielder Richard Graham is building up his fitness following a hernia operation.
Striker Paul Benson is recovering from a stress fracture to his leg and defender Lee Goodwin remains on the long-term injury list with knee trouble.

Re: 16th Feb Coca-Cola League Two
I posted a couple of weeks ago claiming that Herefords form would continue to dip after three straight losses due to young new loan players coming in but i'm going to take that back now and say we've landed what looks great finds in strikers in Mcdonald and Hooper, the pair of them have been excellent and i'm all positive and optimistic again now. I'll go as far as saying we are the new Crewe with the way we keep bringing in quality youngsters and loan players, great stuff Mr Turner.
I'll give them a miss tomorrow though as our home form isn't as good as our away form and i'm not writing off Chesterfield from the play offs just yet.
Push on the Mighty Whites though
The only bet for me tomorrow will be the Shrewsbury, that's the value price for me this weekend, 3.50 jeez that's huge
I'll keep it short as me ma wants her comp' back but basically take a look at Morecambe's recent home form, note that they lost away to Shrewsbury just three weeks ago, take in mind Shrews comeback from 3 nil down to snatch a draw v leaders MK Dons midweek and you might find yourself wondering why they are such a big price.
You could play safer and look for a DNB price, a handicap bet or even a +1 price but i'm putting faith in either Constable or Madjo to score a goal or two here and i'm taking the outright win.
Good luck

Re: 16th Feb Coca-Cola League Two
I'm inclined to agree with Traeth. Dagenham are always a good side to oppose, despite the 6-2 against a Chester side in utter turmoil they're still the poorest side in the division IMO. Dagenham have heart but very little quality without Paul Benson.
Grimsby is a horrible place to go to try and get a result and Alan Buckley has managed to turn things round after a shakey period. All in all I'm not sure whether I'm greedy enough to want a better price though if only because it breaks my theory of never backing sides who are odds-on. Also the last time I backed a side in a game involving Grimsby it was 5-0, the wrong way.
I would dearly love Chester to be playing someone that isn't Notts County. Chester are in a very bad way and I guess Notts County represent some value but I'd be concerned about their goal threat.
Wrexham at around 5 or 6/1 to beat MK might be worth a small bet. Wrexham's new team beat MK only 4 weeks ago and have been unbeaten since. MK are continuing to wobble and are without Lloyd Dyer.

Re: 16th Feb Coca-Cola League Two
Watched the football league weekly on sky there about an hour ago and was intrigued by the stats quoted for the form of both Brentford, Grimsby and Stockport. All 3 look great in the form table too and are all playing weaker teams. May be a nice treble.

Re: 16th Feb Coca-Cola League Two
My mouth is watering a wee bit having spotted Stockport are @ 1.80..... why is that? Team news looks ok and the stats look pretty awesome for Stockport as does that 1-4 win at Rotherham... and I see they also won 2-3 at Bury recently.

Re: 16th Feb Coca-Cola League Two
MickeyPaul,
This prob won't help you but Mr Fixit in The Daily Record has tipped up 3 aways in the CC2 in the last 3 weeks at 7/2, 7/2 & 4/1. This week he's tipped Bury to win at Stockport (4/1).
He's on a bit of a run with this one - just thought I'd let you know.

Re: 16th Feb Coca-Cola League Two
Thanks, mate. For the life of me I cannot see why though.
I could understand Mansfield or Wrexham or Macclesfield, Rochdale or Rotherham maybe Shrewsbury and even Barnet but.... Bury? Mr Fixit is actually a member of TDP but I doubt he's going to let me in on it.
Before their last away win at Bradford (1-2) they hadn't won in 7 on their travels as far as I can see although of their 4 away wins this season 2 of them were at MK Dons and Rochdale. Intellesting..... but still. I'm a Stockport man today.
edit: I suppose I should mention I'm with Grimsby too. They're hot and I like 'em.

Re: 16th Feb Coca-Cola League Two
Aye, that was a bad one traeth. Dag n red cost me £500 a couple of weeks ago by avoiding defeat at Wycombe but I still thought in form Grimsby would take care of them. It seems their confidence is well up now and interesting to see how they get on in their next game.
How the fuck did Mr Fixit know Stockport were going to be reduced to 10 men by the way? Only reason I can find for backng Bury. It's a conspiracy!

Re: 16th Feb Coca-Cola League Two
Stockport played with an outfield player in goal in the second half following a ridiculous looking sending off. The only reason for picking Bury at the weekend would've been they had a new manager.
