Re: 15th/16th/17th Feb Welsh Premier League

Initial thoughts:

nothing stands out on the Friday matches
Bangor[4th] v Llanelli [1st]...Llanelli play tonight[Wednesday] but I think they will win this one
Rhyl[3rd] v TNS[2nd]...last 5 league meetings have been low scoring and I expect another under 2.5, not available with coral or bet365

Re: 15th/16th/17th Feb Welsh Premier League

my opinions on Friday's matches

Caernarfon 13th v Newtown 11th ...Caernarfon poor at home in poor form against a very average side that has picked up points against teams in the bottom half of the table ...DRAW
Connah's Quay 16th v Cefn 14th ...two poor sides ...DRAW
Llangefni 18th v Airbus 12th ...the bottom team in the league against the side that has only won away once ...DRAW
Neath 7th v Haverfordwest 9th ...Neath have surprised me after I saw their first game of the season against a side that have a poor away record ...DRAW

A terrible set of fixtures which I cannot separate ...hate to say this NO BET on any fixture

Re: 15th/16th/17th Feb Welsh Premier League

my opinions on Saturday's matches

Carmarthen 5th v Welshpool 8th
Carmarthen are a difficult side to beat at home and showed their strength last week with an excellent away win at TNS.
I saw Welshpool at Porthmadog when they could only draw , they were not very impressive , they drew with another bottom side Connah's Quay last week
Carmarthen @ 1.91 with Coral for me is a decent price

Port Talbot 6th v Caersws 15th
Port Talbot on a good run of form now and have only lost once at home against a poor side who surprised many last week with a win against Bangor.
Port Talbot @ 1.62 with bet365

Porthmadog 17th v Aberystwyth 10th
Port the poorest home side in this league against Aber who have a good record against my side when they play at home.
this is our manager's opinion from welsh-premier
Quote:
MANAGER Viv Williams says Porthmadog cannot rely on anyone else to assist their battle against relegation from the Welsh Premier.
The Traeth chief was relatively satisfied to come away with a point from NEWI Cefn Druids last Friday, but a win by fellow strugglers Caersws over Bangor City left Port further adrift of the safety zone.
But although Port remain second from bottom and five points adrift of 16th place, it is looking increasinly likely that only one club will be relegated from the top flight at the end of the campaign.
None of the leading contenders for the Welsh League crown want promotion, so Port could be left to scrap it out with Llangefni Town for the drop spot.
"It's all in our hands," Williams told the Caernarfon Herald. "You see getting a point away from home as a step forward but then you take three steps backwards with Caersws beating Bangor.
"We can’t rely on others now; it's very important we pick up points but we've got a tough run-in."
Still seeking a first home win of the season, Port host always Aberystwyth this Saturday and Williams added: "We know all about Aber, they've got good pacy wingers so we've got to spoil as much as we can and be ruthless when chances come."
14 February 2008
No way i'm betting on this match , but hoping for a surprise home win.

Bangor 4th v Llanelli 1st

I've already had a 4 point bet on Llanelli when I saw bet365 offering 2.25

Bangor lost to lowly Caersws last week , lost at home midweek to Rhyl in the league cup , they have a few injuries .
They won their semi final league cup tie last night.
They have been scoring for fun in the league these are their last 6 league games
Llanelli v Caernarfon Town 5:1
Caersws vLlanelli 0:5
Llanelli v Neath 3:3
Llanelli vLlangefni 5:0
Cefn Druids v Llanelli 2:5
Llanelli v Carmarthen Town 4:1

Llanelli top of the table with an away record of W10 D1 L0.

so its Llanelli @ 2.25 with bet365

Re: 15th/16th/17th Feb Welsh Premier League

friday's matches previews from welsh-premier

Quote:
STRUGGLERS IN FRIDAY NIGHT ACTION

Llangefni v Airbus
Airbus have picked up just three points from their last four games.
SEVERAL of the Welsh Premier's strugglers take centre stage on Friday night, and bottom of the table Llangefni Town could climb level on points with Porthmadog if they can beat Airbus UK Broughton.
Coach Derek Roberts has called on his squad to adopt a seige mentality to try and avoid relegation after just one season in the top flight.
"Our problem all season has been our consistency," says Roberts.
"We have picked up a few points when we have played well, but the week after we will then go and play poorly and lose.
"We've got a small squad now who are all local lads and will run their hearts out for the club, which is what the fans want to see."
Cefni were 3-1 winners at The Airfield in October but have lost their last four, while the Wingmakers have picked-up just three points from their last five games and will be without suspended striker Paul Hallows again.
Connah's Quay v Cefn Druids
Connah's Quay are still too close to the trap door for comfort as they host fellow strugglers NEWI Cefn Druids on Deeside.
Jim Hackett's Nomads picked-up an encouraging point at Welshpool Town a week ago, while the Ancients were held 1-1 at home by Porthmadog.
Quay welcome back midfielder Wes Kilgannon for his first outing since Boxing Day, but miss the suspended Craig Jones. Striker Darren Williams and central defender Timmy Edwards are available for Druids after missing last Friday's game.
Caernarfon v Newtown
Newtown boss Darren Ryan has challenged his depleted Newtown side to go on and qualify for the FAW Premier Cup and, despite last week's 2-0 loss at Neath Athletic, he backs his side to recover for the trip to Caernarfon Town.
"It will be a difficult game on a terrible pitch and we must adapt because there is no way passing football can be played at Caernarfon," says Ryan, who will be without defensive trio Craig Williams, Shane Sutton and Danny Jellicoe and skipper Glenn Tolley.
The Canaries have striker Paul Addo suspended, while influential midfielder Layton Maxwell is a doubt for boss Steve O'Shaughnessy.
Neath v Haverfordwest
Meanwhile, Neath look to build on the best-ever start to life in the Welsh Premier by a promoted club, at home to improving Haverfordwest, who could draw level on points with the seventh-placed Eagles if they can win at Llandarcy Park.
Bluebirds' boss Derek Brazil has been delighted with his side's progress and says: "The squad is now taking shape and I'm confident all the players will remain with us next season.
"It takes time to build and we now have strength and depth."
15 February 2008
The list of players missing for Newtown is hefty for this league with their manager making excuses about the standard of the pitch before the game ...the weather has been great this week so can't see Caernarfon pitch in a better condition.
Home win for Caernarfon

As seen on my blog, I'm one of "dedicated followers" of your work, and Welsh games are always on my list, so as links to Welsh football news...not so much news, though, since clubs sites are poor with new informations, some of them are not updated for a long time...

But, there's no reason to oppose you, and this week in tough schedule I'll follow You one more time with single bets on Llanelli, Caernarfon and Carmarthen.

Cheers,Traeth !

Holy hell Charly your Playlist ha been bunged in a bit shabbily eh? brilliant. This is Charly's place and if Charly wants some music up top then charly will have a big fcuk off music box up top! Cool there's a link to my blog too. We've taken the /sites of the end Charly. Ill get my place into shape one day. Ive got a million other websites in effect with our website hosting platform than to just do my own. I would put your player in your footer maybe charly. Just a thought. then i would put in a some eye catching banner. Aye i like it charly it has character. I notice that it has no metatags or keywords in it. Might be good to be accoustic charly but it all helps. Fcuk i can't keep my nose out. right .....shit i dont have the welsh menus on the welsh page. Ive changed them slightly and could be a mess. Ill go put them back on. I actually have a complete new install (change /main/ to /site/) and both installs are in s much a mess as each other. Right im boring myself now.

I fell out with a welshman 15 months ago. He caught me stealing drink from his pub (i was drunk ) and we fell out. I was supposed to be managing his pub starting the next day. Anyhow since then ive been sat here. I met him saturday night and i apologised to him for that night. I felt better for it. Thats as much as i know about wales.

Charly ... thats a great blog , did notice that you went with TNS in the tipster challenge last week , i'm glad i'm of help to you , went to "more about me" on your blog but i must apologise i could not follow it. I agree with you about the the welsh club sites being slow to update , the Rhyl and TNS ones being the most up to date , some others being terrible.

Komp ...that welsh link page has got all the relevant sites that i use , you could add charly's blog page , you do know more about Wales than you admit , you were the one to encourage me to post about it in the very early days of tdp , you mentioned that you had a girlfriend from Swansea once , i suppose your experiences of the welsh are all of the "South Wales" kind , i believe we are a bit different up here in the North ... stranger i suppose
