Ok im not here to cause trouble nor rock the boat but i am impulsive and this feels right. I dont want to post on your stinking divisional threads with everyone else. I want to post on my own thread and have my own 'rules' on how things should be going down on my thread. If i want to have the odd xxx pic then surely if i maked the thread NSFW that would be suffice? Havent we all as members of western society been fighting too long for personal freedom not to be told where to post our football thoughts?

I want to go and view Parksy's weekend thread with all his weekend thoughts both in england and Scotland. I want to read Spacecats decent into football coupon madness as the week goes on.

anyone agree?

anyhow im talking scottish football here on my thread and we dont need no stinking odds. Infact to confuse matters i will go and start the scottish weekend thread no you can all have one of them on Thursday or wherever you have them.

I remember when i first started posting on forums. I started my own weekly scottish thread on punters lounge forum. It was a roaring success and soon others followed suit. It wasnt long before my scottish weekend thread had been eaten up and it had become 'the scottish weekend thread' and other leagues soon followed suit before eventually ending up hung up to dry.

Hurray for freedom. We will never let it lie

Re: Komp's Scottish Weekend Thread

Actually i can see how this will not work. Then again if folks were just posting British football thoughts in a British football forum i think i could get used to it. Its all about tearing down the walls and its scary when you first think of it. Then when you realise that we want people to start threads first and foremost rather than post (a new thread will generate more posts than a new post will) and that people will be more involved if theyre posting their thoughts in a thread of their own each week. I think it wins hands down in that dept. Shite need not be tolerated and the forum rules on unsubstatiated (??) tips will come into play but to me i see it all now and how we have got it fundementally wrong. We have a forum marked British football and i would like to see our members being 'allowed' to just post in the forum arther than have to be made to post on a thread. We dont need the divisional threads. we're taking things 1 level too far.

And on top of that i do think people like to post for personal pride. they dont want to be anither poster on a grey thread about football betting. they want to run their own show and they want the comments and replies. We dont have to take on the betfair mentality but still take the best from their set up which is a vibrant lively forum with people, characters and tipsters posting. Not just a load of threads that we want people to post on. lets move out of the dark ages and ive ourselves a kick up the arse. You know it can work if we keep things tight.

Anyhow this is my scottish football thread for the week and its ONLY about my picks. Idont want to know what your on or fancy in this thread unless your talking about my games. You can go and get yourself your own thread.

Re: Komp's Scottish Weekend Thread

Im serious here. I dont want people coming on here talking about other things bar my bets. Its all about My bets. If you want to know what i think about East stirling at Elgin then if your asking elsewhere or have showed preferance for either team then i will reply there. Not here. There's plenty of room in here so dont be shy by starting a post asking for advice on anything.

Anyhow first one out the bag for me is ..well you guessed it Brechin at 12/5. Havent the bookies learnt yet? The beat Airdrie well enough last time out when the obligied at 2/1 for us. Airdrie are stil grinding out results but are due a defeat imo. Brechin are on a great run and i would rate them less than 9/5 and the 12/5 on offer sounds great.

If Cowdenbeath have some back i could take them although i dont think the away team has had much joy in this one. Ive uerestimated them at alloa a few times lately. Lots to look at.

Livi i like the sound of hoem to Clyde and I'm sure St Johnstone have had Hamilton's measure on the pitch this season. Need to check that and also Hamiltons new signings and the Offiong revival.

Remeber this thread is not about scottish football. It's about my bets for this weekend.

Re: Komp's Weekend Fancies & Thoughts

Ah well back to my thread. I honestly aint that bothered if you all dont agree with my thoughts on the set up of the brit forum. If you all can't see it and i dont win my case then so be it. I do think that like an extention of the sticky threads its just another nail in our coffin and also an ill thought out idea. Still if you dont want improvement. I am still defending my thread though. Posters rights i say. I dunno. Im easy but lets talk about it (till i end up falling out with you all and declare that everyone knows nothing and go in a huff for 2 weeks ) I think it's a great idea. Well i do for just now. Give people their spotlight and they will take it. The way things seem to me at the mo is that we're expecting people to work for us. Post on our threads you bastards!

Not much happening scottish football wise for me. Im just about to go bet Brechin as im on them at that price no matter. Airdrie will be hard to beat but Brechin are not a 12/5 shot by any stretch of the imagination. One of them days at home to a handy Cowdenbeath and then them 2 late goals by berwick. Take them away and i bet you you will see an almost spotless record since a couple before beating airdrie last time. Aye get on Brechin. thats what i say. They wont be that price all week.

Re: Komp's Weekend Fancies & Thoughts

It maybe Monday afternoon to you Spacecat but somewhere in the world it is thursday night. Yes we do like to mix theological debate with my football picks Spacecat so please god tell me what you think of that price on Brechin at Airdrie? Is there anyone else tipping it about the place? I'll go check later. I will tell you all more of the where for or why fors of the brechin price as the week goes on as hey man dont hassle me. Regular readers will know where we are all at and who to look out for or who's threads are a load of keach. shit im still pushing this idea of isolationism. It's like a beast growing within me.

The bbc had a nice wee transfer window round up last week. You will get a komp update on that in the komp weekend thread. Keep them peeled forum watchers.

The most revolting thought in this thread is the fact that someone can actually think there should be an apostrophe there in "thoughts"

Re: Revolting Thought's: Sat 15th Feb

Im trying to work out how i could have done that RC. Aye im sorry for going on chaps and i aint asking for any law reforms i just want us all to consider it. Maybe ive been up too long to day but we should definetl;y consider a change of plan as i really dont think we are doing things the best way. Ive been known to be wrong and i remember the original reform where we went to divisional threads on the PL. I think that if the original idea was maybe tackled differantly and improved on then that would be better than these grey ghettos that we have in here.

Cheers Komp,

I am really happy having you back. This place was like a ghost town without you. Hope you are doing well. Shitt. I see you aint. But still, I am sure you will get all stuff sorted sooner or later.

This are not just phrases from me, I really admire you. I used to be tuffer 10 years ago, then I am now and I miss it. I made too many compromises in my life and lost the sharpness. Wise man in me would suggest you to make few compromises, but my heart is saying go your own way.

sorry for talking a shit.

Re: Revolting Thought's: Sat 15th Feb

Cheers Johnny. I'll be back one day and i dont mind it being a ghost town without me as thats just a compliment to me i suppose. We need more people though and i im fed up swimming upstream. I dont think i'll let you down Johnny.

Heh heh heh hthat was some compliment johnny. thanks. bloody hell that made me feel good. I think there i sense in me yet johnny. What you fancy this weekend Johnny? I'll go link 'jonnys sytem thread' when i get into some 'speedlinking'. As i say im staying away from the forums as if you say you dont like anything i do and say it in a snidey way i go off the handle and make the place look bad. I want to wait till im done and try get over all that. anyhow. you can have rock and roll on my thread johnny. some threads are rock and roll free i believe but ...actuall nope i need to get back on football track here. this is not the way. Maybe it is the way but i just aint as good as future posters at expressing it.

Cheers
for this weekend I aint found much promissing yet. In scottland fancy St.J to take mesure of overrated Hamilton and maybe Peterhead to beat Qpark. Didnt even looked on england fixures, and in germany have lost faith competly. Looking forward to jump on your early fancies.

Re: Revolting Thought's: Sat 15th Feb

brechin v airdrie is a veritable whos who of past spacecat nightmares, the sfl 2 is defintley mu enemy this year, the whole league table is ugly to me.

i think its cause of queens park, strange that as all the other leagues look about right to me, so im not sure who i would ideally substitute for them. stirling maybe? that messes up the first though, airdrie swap with stirling and queens swao with .. ? i dont know, ive been looking for stirling to have a crack at the first division for years, they remind me of queen of the south crca 2002, wouldnt want to see any other sfl1 side down purely for my benefit though

maybe its not queens park that are messing things up for me mentally, maybe its those evil dream livers gretna in the spl knocking everything off tilt for me. i like the current sfl 1 and 3 line ups this year. i dont like super ayr united in division 2 either now i think of it.

hmmmm.
no bet

Re: Revolting Thought's: Sat 15th Feb

you know i rate intuition as a major player in the list of factors that decide a bet for me, everybody does to some extent i suppose, i jsut let it take over. ive nothing against queens park but the national stadium should be reserved for scotland and the third division. never also ran pros of the few full time division 2 team,s they dont deserve to play there
