Spcecat remov QP from calcullations and youll see Brechin are gonna kick airdrie arse. I dont know what thread i shold turn up on never mind wethere i should or not. I bet you no one offereds anything do they? im just gona watch and buy myself some time

As an Airdrie fan I really can't see Brechin beating us this weekend. We're very strong at home this year and especially tight defensively (only conceded 7 at home so far). With us trailing Ross County by 3 points and having played 2 games more, every game is really a must win for us at the moment. Having played poorly against Cowdenbeath on Saturday, yet won, I'd expect us to bounce back with a better performance against Brechin.

I've no doubt that Brechin are a better outfit than the last time I saw them but I'd always fancy us at home against the majority of the teams in this division, Ross County apart. This game reminds me slightly of the Alloa game on Boxing Day. Alloa had been going well and were one of the form teams in the division, a bit like Brechin are at the moment, yet we turned them over quite easily. Brechin should provide stiffer opposition than Alloa did that day but I still can't see past us.

Team news wise, we'll have McKenna back in defence after his suspension which should hopefully give the defence a more solid look after we looked a bit dodgy against Cowdenbeath. McDougall will still be missing with his achilles injury and Holmes isn't likely to make it either.

Airdrie win.

Cracking stuff Ally. Let me have a wee read up. Wasnt that about 3 performances in a row that airdrie have played pretty poorly ally? I dont think there will be much between the two this saturday and Skybet and their 3/1 on Brechin is a must bet to me. 3 to fcuking one. Unbelievable. I think you'll be resigned to playing for the playoffs after saturday Ally. Let me reread the p&b thread on the last game when Brechin beat you 4-2 and lets not forget that you had better players then and we're in better form...

Come on Ally. Hopes and dreams aside how could you not say Brechin at 3/1 are a great bet? Yes your team are going to be hard to beat and thats why they are favs to win but to me its all about the price and i would rate Brechins chances as less than 2/1. Airdrie could create 2 chances all game and score them both. Im taking Brechin to create more and score more too. Waiting on reg for this airdrie site which is a new one to me

Sounds not bad Micky. Do i think they could draw? I suppose that would be a bit possibility. I like the price though Micky and the no fcuking about win. the more liberal minded might chance the x/2 but i think i'll be just shouting on the Brechin win. Aye it's gonna be hard as Ally suggests. I do think your team are worth betting against this weekend Ally and the odds on Brechin are a 'must bet' (not a certaintity but must be backed at the price) I havent looked at he prices since the first few came in. I'll make a bet with you that William Hill will be offering the best price on Airdrie.....ok so i was wrong

Theyre all crazy. Airdrie i think will be at heir worst this saturday and theyll get a lesson that could help their season. There's also the other way at looking at it in that Airdrie are getting results whilst not playing great but meeting in-form free scoring Brechin when your not playing well isnt the best time to not play well. I still say Brechin are 15/8 shots. even less possibly. 3/1 with skybet is a great bet and if i was getting a bet like that every week i reckon i would be getting a return every 2nd week. I havent even looked at it yet but i do recommend the price already and if ..you know...your history...its enough to make your heart go wooowowowoowowwowo

nah if you know your stuff you'll agree that Brechin are never 3/1 shots.

I'd be lying Komp if I said Brechin didn't seem to be good value at 3's, given their third in the recent 'form table' behind us and County and turned us over 4-2 in the last game.

However, you're right in that we haven't been playing all that well recently (a lot of that is due to us missing McDougall and the spark that he gives us) - Kilmarnock we didnt play that well, but that was an SPL side we were up against so I wouldn't pay much attention to that. Raith was poor first half but we played much better in the second half and deservedly took the 3 points even though the scoreline was a bit flattering. Cowdenbeath is never an easy place to go and play football and it wasn't a pretty game, yet we still picked up the 3 points.

So, what we have been doing is grinding out results. This is something that too often we have failed to do and I feel that this now bodes well for us. We've brought in a sports scientist to work with the players twice a week and Black is hoping that this will give them an extra 5 or 10 %, time will tell, but what it does show is that he, and the club, are doing everything we can to chase down Ross County and don't seem content to settle for the play off's. This drive tells me that, even if we don't play that well on Saturday, the team will no what they have to do and if necessary, grind out another win.

Much appreciate all your thoughts on this one Ally thanks. I suppose i will have to leave it all to the other thread....nope this can co-exist this week im sure. I'll pop by the other thread and see whatthey are saying. this is just about the airdrie v brechin game really when you take away my thoughts on a complete rehaul of our way of doing things.I do think its the best time to bet against you guys and also the price on Brechin is too big to miss. Im definetly gonna take them and good luck to me and also to Airdrie for the rest of the season. I hope you close the gap on Ross as i aint a big fan of Ross county.

Hopefully things will calm down in my life soon and that inturn will calm things down about here. that is till we get busy and hopefully we wont have many calm moments but forums die on their feet when the regulars aint posting and the regulars dont post as sometimes they get sick of posting too.
