Arsenal v Liverpool

Arsenal should win comfortably and are priced up accordingly. The teams have already met twice this season, once in the Premier League at the Ashley Travel Stadium (Liverpool's home ground), the Gunners running out 4-1 winners. The other game was in the Premier League Cup at Meadow Park (Arsenal's home ground), the Gunners winning 4-0.

No notable team news, none of the handicaps or goal betting offer any decent opportunities in my opinion as they're just about right.

Arsenal to win @ 1.05 - 1 million points

Err, no bet too short for my liking.

Re: Women's Premier League: Sunday 10/02/08

Fulham used to be a class side, much like Arsenal are now. I remember one season they scored something like 120 goals in a single season in the top flight.

Unfortunately, the team got disbanded a few seasons ago when funding was cut in order to pump more money into the men's team. They first went semi-pro, started losing all their best players because of this, then funding was cut entirely. They distanced themselves from the men's team, much like Charlton have done and were relegated at the end of last season.

They look likely for promotion back to the top league this season though, currently holding a nine point lead at the top of the Southern division. They're not the force they once were, but they do look quite handy.

Re: Women's Premier League: Sunday 10/02/08

Charlton Women v Doncaster Rovers Belles

This was going to be my biggest wager of the season, but Pinnacle have limited me to a very stingy £36, so that's all I have on at the moment.

Charlton have improved since the start of the season, but still remain the worst team in the Premier League, not just results wise but also performance wise. They've not had a competitive game since early January, that being a 0-3 reverse in the cup to second division Fulham. They have played some recent friendlies, but that was more an opportunity to give some youngsters. In the last friendly they played, against Watford just four days ago, they needed to field midfielder Nina Boorman in goal due to a goalkeeping crisis. No news has been released as to whether any of Charlon's 'keepers are due to return.

Doncaster came away with a deserved 3 points from their visit to Chelsea in the previous round, Chelsea perhaps being fortunate to have scored thrice. The Belles outplayed the Blues for the majority of the match. They've been a little capricious this season, but have constantly scored plenty of goals, despite conceding a few. They have injury doubts over keeper Caroline Collie and defender Emma Thomson, but they should be ably replaced by Jess Horsley and Natasha Hughes.

Doncaster have beaten better teams than Charlton in previous weeks and should make it another bad day for the Addicks. Charltons lack of activity and news of a potential goalkeeping crisis would have made this a decent sized by, possibly 5 or 6 points, whilst confirmed team news could have made it a 10/10 bet. As it is I've been restricted to a 3.6 point bet! I got on the AH(-1) @ 2.220 last night, which has now been cut to 1.769 at Pinnacle. That's still a decent bet though.

Doncaster Rovers Belles AH(-1) @ 2.220 (Pinnacle) - 6/10 confidence (limited to 3.6 stake)

May well put a decent sized bet on the Doncaster Rovers Belles win, available at 1.42 at 10Bet, or in a double if I should find a suitable bet to double up with!
