I usually don't bet that often on scottish football, but one match caught my eye:

Montrose vs Arbroath. Centrebet offers me 2.10 for a homewin. Quite nice I think. Agree, anyone?

Other games that might be worth looking at are:

Airdrie vs Queens Park Rangers
Ross vs Peterhead
Hamilton vs Morton
Partick vs Clyde
East Fife vs Stranraer
Stenhousemuir vs East Stirling

Cheers Towers, wait for Parksy and komp, they will be able to tell you much more about your selection
I like only Patrick and Airdrie.
Montrose I cannot trust despite great run they are on. Arbroath will come back sooner or later, and maybe already have.
Imo ross should make it too, not that sure. They make results, but without proper display. East five game could become tricky one and I can even can see away side taking all points. About Stenny I dont wanna to say a word as they have hurt me bad, best to wait what is Komp saying. I think he is hurt even more.
OOhhh yes I can recall now about same time last year we were also high on stenny playing I think East stirling in much worse shape, where everything pointed on Stenny and they have left us down losing high score. That time we really backed them with high stakes.
For me Stenny is written with unvisible ink, same as St. Johnston is. DOnt egsist anymore on my betting ticket

hamilton, airdrie, alloa and raith the teams i'm looking at, not massive prices though, would haf a look at team news later on first, not too sure whether at this level some of these clubs can cope with the insane amount of matches within a short period of time...

I think 11/10 now 5/4 is a very poor price for Montrose considering its a local derby. I actually thought 2/1 for Arbroath is the value bet although being a local derby its a stay away for me. Also Montrose haven't won these matches in 9 games so i think 5/4 is a terrible price. Also think Montrose are a bit lightweight and questions would be asked if they are up for the battle by Arbroath.

Re: 2nd Jan: Scottish 1-2-3 Divisions

I agree with you there Milners in that the Montrose pretty is pretty poor. Arbroath havent shown much this season but as Edin mentioned they would have been up for the east fife game and likewise with this one. Plastic pitch factor could come into it. I havent looked but when i saw the prrice of montrose o thought the bookies were being a bit reactionary. Montrose are more unpredictable than me on the drink. I cant see me getting involved.

I better get myself settled for a long internet session with no drink before commenting on the above. only 2 i liked the look of when looking at a betfred coupon there on the bus back from town was Partick and ross County. im hoping for slightly better than the 4/6 on Ross... ......wll its not much better. Peterhead are still missing Bavidge and that Bradsomething or other young stand-in got sent off last time. Should be short of attacking options v a team that isn't.

20/19 Partick with Expekt. They have to be due a bt of luck Clyde aint all bad and even the defeat from St J wasnt too bad. I think Partick have their measure this season although i better check that. Raith i could go for if and only if Andrews is back in their defence

Re: 2nd Jan: Scottish 1-2-3 Divisions

that montrose v arbroath is a dangerous game to bet on....not for me thats for sure......arbroath played their best football of the season by the talk in beating east fife at new bayview in their last game........but their form before that game was poor........have they turned the corner?who knows?maybe edin would know the score on that one?as for montrose......they are playing well....but that home defeat a couple of weeks ago by forfar is still sticking with me.....they were very poor that day.......no this is def a no betting game for me......if pushed i would go with a draw........

Re: 2nd Jan: Scottish 1-2-3 Divisions

Most loan contracts finish today right? Any prediction on which teams are going to be the most affected by this?

As for Montrose I would stay clear away from them, their plastic pitch looks to be more an advantage for the opponent.

Re: 2nd Jan: Scottish 1-2-3 Divisions

Definetly something to look at DJ. I have been trying to keep tabs on it all the last few weeks. Something i will be considering too. Stranraer have a few, Montrose, Elgin more so. There will be plenty about it all in p&b im sure. I cant get the time to look at anything as ive a million things to do about the forum. Suppose tomorrow will be a better day for me. Maybe im missing hte boat. If anyone has any info actually tomorrow when the window opens its gonna be a hive of activity aint there? gonna be great. Whats the big rhumours? Stenhousemuir shjould be losing Lennon which will be a blow to them. Tehir injuries on saturday was worse than i anticipated but i still went ahead with them. Im cursing myself for my lack of research.this week im just gonna look at teams i fancy and sod this 'looking at dunfermline' nonsense. Although saying that Dunfermline havent played a good game all season even in this wee improvement. What Livi is gonna turn up though?

Berwick will beat Ayr.

And Airdrie will cuff Queen's Park.

Re: 2nd Jan: Scottish 1-2-3 Divisions

Im staying a bit one dimensional DJ and cant look at anything the now. I will this evening though as it should be a great time for grabbing info. Havent QP gave Airdrie 3 hard games this season Kegman? That was putting me off that one. Let me have a first gander at the odds but im still in a Stenhousemuir doghouse. (my nap being the only fav not complying :shakehead )

William Hill's 9/5 on Stirling might be worth looking at especially with the comedy of errors that is the morton defence. Brechin i could well continue to follow and that 11/4 looks ok. Prob is though im sure Alloa have performed well against them on both ocasions this season. Need to read up. If anyone new or old has any info to share then it would be gratefully recieved. Opinions too. We like opinions on TDP. I want to know if you think i'm backing a loser this week.

Berwick have done ok v Ayr and i dont trust Ayr at home. Im sure i saw Wet Sail .. soz Wetsail i though that was The Kegman there being to the point Airdries form is hard to get away from but at the odds i aint taken with it. need to read the reports on the last game between the two where im sure Airdrie won it. Be a fuull strengthed QP on wednesday too.

Raith odds on all round but Expekt again giving the best price and with them offering a free £25 free bet when joing then maybe today would be a good time to join Expekt etc etc repeat ad nausem) I will only take raith if andrews is back as mentioned and infact i might not even them then. Be interested to see how theyve performed at Cowdenbeath this season if they already have. Sure they won there mind. 3-1 or something.

Bet365 have moved Ross County in and it's because they know i mentioned them and that i use Bet365 95% of the time. its a personal vendetta against me. Maybe i shagged the bet365 odds compliers wife and this is his way of getting back at me. I dunno. 5/6 on Betfair poss.

Albion Rovers at 17/10 with Bet365 i think i might take a little of the now. I suppose they have to be fancied to get something at Dumbarton. Need to look into that one and Dumbarton can be stuffy enough to ruin any line. I might just grab it without thinking too much about it though

Stranraer would need to see massive improvement to get anything at East fife on the performances between the two this season at a guess. Stenhousmuir at 5/6 with Skybet sheeeeet. i could yet be on the 4/5 in Coral but team news will be important and maybe there cant be enough good team news to make me back them. Last week i dont think i even looked or bothered with Stenhousemuir's team news and just passed it all off as 'old news'
