Re: 1st Jan: CC Championship

Games that look very interesting for me:

Cardiff vs Plymouth
Blackpool vs Burnley
Charlton vs Colchester
Palace vs Norwich

This could be four homewins. Especially Charlton should win by two or three goals against very poor Colchester. Palace in great form under Warnock and could beat an improved Canaries-side too. Blackpool with nice victories against Coventry and Blackpool lately and against a Burnley-side which lost home to Bristol City on saturday, they might continue to climb the table. Cardiff are getting better and better and they are my favorites against Plymouth, that seems to either loose or win when they are playing away from home.(5-2-5).

Going for a reet Yorkshire away treble

Prices this morning from bet365
Barnsley @15/8
Hull City @10/30
Sheff Utd @5/2
All got a great chance.

Pays around 42/1

Just a small £10 treble on these as iv'e squandered my other money on a outlandish Premiership bet.

Re: 1st Jan: CC Championship

I would be very careful to go against Stoke these days to be honest. The team is in a very decent form, playing at home..... I can't see Hull wining there.. Maybe a draw.. I agree with Barnsley, however, also pretty tough task for Sheffield to win away to Wolves, although they have been out of form recently...

GL , seems kind of gamble to bet on all 3 in a combo...

Stoke City -0,5 @ 2.05 Asian Market Medium Stake is my MAIN bet for CCC in this round.

Stoke City is the biggest positive surprise this season. They've opened up more compared to previous seasons and it seems the way to go as they are capable of playing some very nice attacking football and of outscoring anyone. They've scored 2 and 3 goals in both their last four and in their last three games and are in an excellent shape.

BBC SPORT | Football | Championship | Stoke v Hull
Stoke are without suspended goalkeeper Russell Hoult so Steve Simonsen comes in to replace him.Boss Tony Pulis is still without injured defender Dominic Matteo (foot) and Salif Diao, who is closing in on full match fitness.

Fraizer Campbell is missing for Hull with a hamstring injury so veteran frontman Dean Windass is expected to start in his place.Sam Ricketts should be available despite some trouble with a hamstring.

Re: 1st Jan: CC Championship

Cardiff on the drift with some.

Quote:
Cardiff welcome back striker Steven Thompson for the New Year's Day visit of Plymouth to Ninian Park.

Thompson has sat out the last three games following his red card against Bristol City on December 15 but returns to bolster manager Dave Jones' attacking options.

Jones must decide whether to stick with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink up front or give the nod to Thompson or Steve MacLean, who replaced the Dutchman as a substitute in Saturday's victory over Preston.

That game came too soon for Riccardo Scimeca, who is closing in on full fitness following his long lay-off with a groin injury, but the midfielder could be added to the squad.

Winger Trevor Sinclair (knee) remains out while full-back Chris Gunter should have completed his move to Tottenham by the time the sides kick off.

Robbie Fowler will fly to America this week for keyhole surgery on a hip problem and is currently also sidelined with ankle ligament damage.

Plymouth winger Lee Martin is hoping to shrug off the after effects of flu ahead of the trip to Wales.

Martin, on loan from Manchester United, was recalled for the 2-2 home draw with Stoke and substituted late on by boss Paul Sturrock to give him extra time to rest and more chance of a full recovery.

Martin's loan spell will be reviewed following a meeting with United boss Sir Alex Ferguson on January 2.

Sturrock has hinted at more changes to his side after recalling Wales international striker Jermaine Easter, on loan from Wycombe, to partner 12-goal top-scorer Sylvan Ebanks-Blake in attack against Stoke.

Meanwhile, Barry Hayles has left the club and joined former manager Ian Holloway at Leicester.
not much else happening. Stoke best tw with Victor Chandler at 17/20. time for my sales pitch of there never being a better time to take advantage of their £100 in free bets offer. catch it while you can folks
