Who's going to win the Premiership?

The reason I'm starting this thread is that I backed Man U at various prices from 2/1 to just over evens on betfair but I've been checking on all my long term bets today and I've forced myself to lay some off because of (what I see as) the absolutely stupid price at the moment.

I know Arsenal have had a wobble recently with their draw with Pompey on Boxing day and getting deservedly beaten by Boro and I know that Chelsea have their injury problems but 1.61 with the table looking like this......

1Man Utd192745
2Arsenal192144
3Chelsea191538
4Liverpool182136

is just plain stupid with half the season left to go.

Don't get me wrong, I still fancy United to get there in the end but their price is almost guaranteed to be highter than it is now at some stage of the season. In fact, if they don't win at West Ham tomorrow it will have to drift even before Arsenal play their game.

Re: Who's going to win the Premiership?

Can't see past MU ODM as they have been the best team all season and now look to have strength in depth, Carrick was there achilles heel last yr and they still pulled it off, that handicap has now been more than filled with the arrival of Hargreaves then add Tevez up front and they are a lot better side than they were this time last yr.

I still think there dodgey at the back and thats why Utd are suseptable in Europe as teams have a lot more patience against them and teams like milan are able to pick them off but the hundred mile an hr stuff like the Premiership suits them down to the ground as they are so fast on the counter.

Having no out and out striker with all the midfielders and wingers being able to score is also serving them well as they can pack the midfield and they always arrive in the box at the same time , so theres always support for Rooney.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea are needing a decent striker with the absence of Van Persie and Drogba but even if they return within the next month or so it may be to late, Anelka could change things if he were to go to one of those two sides and why United have never seemed intersted in him I'll never know as they have lacked a decent fast striker ever since Nistelroy left.

Arsenal have the ability to challenge Utd but they seem to be missing that bit of metal it takes to win the Premiership probbaly due to not having any Brit players in the squad or anybody to lead by example, Fabregas is probably the closest they have to that but he's to young and doesnt command the respect say Vierra did.

I think that if Chelsea can hang in there through these tough times ahead they'll be in with a shout as they have arsenal, liverpool and man u all at the bridge in the second half of the season. Theres good value in the 11/1 i think but if Utd keep going as they are they should win it again,.

Looks like a great decision you made there ODM

Chelsea right back in it now aren't they. They need to strengthen in January though as losing the African boys is going to be a huge loss to them.

Arsenal have won. United back over evens.

I still wouldn't be ruling Chelsea out to be fair
